Chapter 949: The Request of the Daikong Star Alliance (1)
Gelan pulled up the detailed data on the "Guardian" Super Soldiers.
These genetically modified and mechanically enhanced warriors can reach a height of 2.8 meters and are equipped with advanced Power Armor and weaponry.
They are even taller than those giants in Suo'er's records.
"General," the operations officer pointed at the star map, "if we mobilize fleets from Karen Star in the Sixth Star Sector and Mi Er Dun Star in the Eighth Star Sector, and coordinate with the Super Soldiers, we can form a siege around Fengrao Starport within three weeks."
Gelan pondered for a moment: "No, we cannot repeat Suo'er's mistakes. A frontal assault has already been proven ineffective."
Gelan pulled up the complete star map of the Southern Theater.
"Notify the commanders of each star sector; I am initiating the 'Swarm' protocol. We will avoid direct confrontation with the enemy's main force and instead strike their supply lines and secondary strongholds."
The "Swarm" protocol is a guerrilla tactic aimed at weaker enemies and is usually not used against enemies occupying important strategic objectives.
"General, does this mean we admit we cannot defeat the enemy on the front lines?"
"It means we are biding our time and gathering intelligence. Before we fully understand this new enemy, launching a rash counterattack is foolish."
Gelan looked at the Minister of Intelligence: "I want you to organize a special analysis team to delve into all the data Suo'er sent back. Find the weaknesses of these 'Super Soldiers,' their tactical patterns, and any vulnerabilities we can exploit."
"Understood, General."
"As for the Super Soldier units, disperse them to various frontline bases to serve as a rapid response force. I will not commit them to the front lines until we fully understand the enemy."
An officer said worriedly: "But the Council demands that we resolve this new threat as soon as possible..."
Gelan's voice turned serious.
"The Council is not on the front lines; they cannot see the lessons Suo'er paid for with his life. Under my command, there will be no foolish acts of using soldiers' lives to satisfy the vanity of politicians."
A silence fell over the command room.
Gelan softened his tone and said.
"Communicate my decision down the chain. At the same time, notify all units to raise their readiness to the highest level. Regardless of what the Council thinks, we are facing a difficult war."
After the officers left to carry out their orders, Gelan stood alone before the star map, looking at the Seventh Star Sector that had already been stained red by the enemy.
The Council thought they had sent a sharp tool to solve the problem, but what they had sent might just be more sacrifices.
Suo'er's final warning echoed in his mind: "The enemy is powerful beyond imagination."
And now, he must use his limited resources to prove his late friend wrong, or to confirm his deepest fears.
Regardless, the fate of the Southern Theater, and even the future of the entire Feng Qi Xing Alliance, would depend on his next choice.
Daikon Star Alliance Capital Star "Olivia".
Inside the circular Conference Hall of the Supreme Diplomatic Committee, seven supreme commissioners surrounded the central star map.
"Lady Aolana and the entire delegation have been detained?"
Diplomatic Commissioner Kewake repeated the news he had just received.
"By whom? The Fengqi? How dare they!"
Minister of Intelligence Zuola pulled up the emergency communication record that had been received.
"No, Commissioner. It was not the Feng Qi Xing Alliance that detained them, but an unknown force calling itself the 'Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance.' The incident occurred at the Feng Qi Xing Alliance's Fengrao Starport, while the starport was under attack by this emerging force."
Military Representative Serafen leaned forward slightly.
"Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance? There is no record of this force in the database. Where did they pop up from?"
"That is the problem, General."
Zuola opened the encrypted data packet Aolana had transmitted before being captured.
"According to the final intelligence transmitted by Lady Aolana, this 'Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance' has demonstrated astonishing military strength. They destroyed the entire defensive fleet of Fengrao Starport in an extremely short time and captured Fengrao Starport."
The star map began to play processed combat footage.
The volleys of the Xiuluosheng Fleet, the collapse of the Orbital Defense Platform, and the combat scenes of those Power Armor giants inside the starport.
"That double-headed avian emblem... I have never seen a design like it."
Scientific Representative Doctor Tailanisi squinted his eyes.
"This primitive totem appearing on advanced warships is very incongruous."
Commissioner Kewake looked at the warriors wearing Power Armor and asked.
"What did Aolana call them in her report?"
"'Astartes.' According to an analysis of the limited combat records, the Power Armor these units are equipped with can provide all-around protection and life support. Their individual weapons can easily pierce the personal armor of our regular soldiers."
General Serafen's expression turned grave: "What about their tactics?"
"Extremely efficient."
Zuola pulled up another record, showing a clip of the Luna Wolves slaughtering Fengqi soldiers in a corridor.
"They don't look like they are fighting; it is more like they are executing a Purification Procedure. No prisoners left, no surrenders accepted, at least initially."
A brief silence fell over the Conference Hall, and Commissioner Kewake spoke up.
"Then, how should we respond? Our high-ranking diplomat and the entire delegation have been detained by an unknown force; this is unprecedented in diplomatic history."
Trade Representative Vitas spoke.
"I believe we should immediately establish contact with this 'Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance.' In any case, diplomatic dialogue is the first way to resolve problems. Perhaps this is just a misunderstanding."
Serafen's voice rose.
"A misunderstanding? Look at these combat records! These are not the actions of a civilization that would mistakenly detain a diplomatic delegation! This is naked aggression! We should immediately join forces with the Feng Qi Xing Alliance and eliminate them before they become a greater threat!"
Scientific Representative Tailanisi shook his head.
"General, with all due respect, judging from the level of technology they have displayed, the military of this 'Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance' is very strong. Rushing into war is too risky."
"It is precisely because they are powerful that we should act sooner! If we wait until they have fully established themselves, it might be too late."
Vitas countered: "But what if they are willing to talk? We might miss out on a potentially powerful ally. Look at their ship designs, their Power Armor technology... how much of this is there for us to learn from!"
Serafen sneered and asked in return.
"Learn? You expect a group of barbarians who would detain a diplomatic delegation to share their technology with us?"
