Chapter 960: Supply Completed, Heading to the Sixth Star Sector
The night was deep; most warriors had already returned to their barracks to rest, with only the Sentinels still patrolling at their posts.
The two primarchs, however, felt no fatigue and continued their conversation.
Jaghatai asked.
"After the Sixth Star Sector, what then? Where do you think Father's next target will be?"
Sanguinius pulled up the star map.
"According to strategic projections, it is very likely to turn toward the Fourth Sector. The industrial base there is more developed, but the defenses are correspondingly stronger."
Jaghatai analyzed.
"Then it may require more Legions to participate; perhaps the siege capabilities of the Iron Warriors will come in handy."
Sanguinius nodded.
"Actually, the Imperial Fists could also do it. Every Legion has its unique value. Speaking of which, Yingxin told me a few days ago that she gave us all nicknames based on the characteristics of each Legion."
Jaghatai leaned forward with interest: "Really? What did she call me?"
"She called you 'Brother Wind-like'," Sanguinius laughed, "and I am 'Brother Angel'."
The two primarchs laughed together, the rare moment of relaxation allowing them to temporarily forget the heavy burdens on their shoulders.
Jaghatai finally said.
"That child has a special talent; she can see through appearances straight to the essence."
Sanguinius nodded in agreement.
"Perhaps that is why Father allows her to be so close to us. She reminds us that beneath all this war and politics, we are essentially still... Human."
They were silent for a while, looking up at the starry sky.
Jaghatai said softly.
"Sometimes, this task feels so arduous—so many worlds, so many enslaved Humans."
Sanguinius placed a hand on Jaghatai's shoulder.
"But we do not bear it alone, Jaghatai. We have twenty brothers, and compatriots who are constantly joining us, and we have Father guiding us."
"You are right, my brother."
Seventy-two hours later.
The Yuanzhuaxing orbital observation station signaled that the supply fleet had arrived.
The Techmarines of the Blood Angels began to inspect the equipment in the unloading area, while the reconnaissance troops of the White Scars launched their Frigates to provide escort for the supply fleet.
Sanguinius and Jaghatai stood side by side on the command deck, observing the base's preparations.
"It seems our warriors can hardly wait."
Jaghatai said as he looked at the busy scene below.
Sanguinius nodded.
"Supplies always boost morale. Especially when we know what we are about to face."
In orbit, the first supply ship, converted from a Cobra-class Destroyer, slowly sailed into the designated orbit.
Subsequently, more supply ships and Frigates arrived one after another.
The Communications Officer reported.
"The transport fleet has sent a communication, requesting to begin the unloading procedure."
Sanguinius nodded in approval.
"Notify all departments, supply operations have begun."
Supply boats began to dock with the two fleets, unloading various materials.
From weapons and ammunition to medical supplies, from food rations to spare parts.
Even more new ships and Space Marines joined the ranks of the two Legions.
Jaghatai saw a batch of newly arrived Assault Bikes being unloaded, his eyes shining with excitement.
"Look at those new mounts; my sons will love them to death."
Sanguinius noticed a batch of Blood Angels Space Marines forming up under the guidance of a Blood Angels officer.
"New blood joining us. They look well-trained."
Jaghatai said.
"After all, they were trained under Father's personal supervision. Speaking of which, I am going to check on the special supplies for me."
The two primarchs separated to act, each supervising the supply work of their own Legion.
In the White Scars' unloading area, Jaghatai personally inspected the newly arrived Assault Bikes. He started one, and the engine emitted a pleasant roar.
"Fifteen percent lighter than the previous model, but power has increased by twenty percent," the Techmarine reported, "and the stability is better."
Jaghatai nodded with satisfaction: "Just right for the terrain of the Sixth Star Sector. Notify all companies to familiarize themselves with the new equipment as soon as possible."
At the same time, Sanguinius was reviewing the newly arrived Blood Angels Space Marines.
About five hundred Blood Angels Space Marines stood in neat formation.
Sanguinius spoke up.
"Welcome to the Liberation Crusade. You bring not only powerful combat strength but also firm faith in the Emperor's cause."
The supply work continued. In the base's medical area, the Blood Angels Apothecary was taking inventory of the newly arrived medical supplies.
Large equipment needed to be installed, new ships needed to be integrated with the existing fleet, and the newly arrived Space Marines were assigned to various companies.
By noon, the supply work was more than half finished.
The two primarchs met briefly in the Command Center to exchange progress.
Jaghatai reported.
"My troops have already received sixty percent of the supplies."
Sanguinius checked the Data Pad and spoke.
"The progress of the Blood Angels is similar. The distribution of combat power will be completed within three hours."
In the supply fleet, there was also an encrypted message from Yingzhou.
Sanguinius decrypted the message, and after reading it, spoke to Jaghatai.
"Father has provided detailed intelligence and tactical suggestions for the Sixth Star Sector. He also specifically emphasized minimizing civilian casualties."
Jaghatai checked the tactical data.
"This intelligence is much more detailed than what we had before."
The supply work entered its final stage.
The two Primarchs met again to summarize the progress.
Sanguinius began to speak.
"All major supplies have been received and distributed; only some secondary materials are still being unloaded."
Jaghatai checked the time.
"Thirteen hours, one hour faster than expected. Our warriors are very efficient."
"Because they know the importance of time; the people of the Sixth Star Sector are waiting for liberation."
That night, the base held a brief ceremony for the completion of the resupply.
After the ceremony ended, the two fleets set off again, heading toward the Sixth Star Sector in the south of the Fengqi Star Alliance.
