Chapter 340: First Lesson of the Semester

Hehe, is that the question? Qin Ge chuckled, then turned his head to look out the window, only to see students wearing commander uniforms slowly walking toward the Grand Lecture Hall.

He said, "Of course I'm nervous, not because I'm worried my knowledge is insufficient, but because I'm concerned about whether I can actually convey what I've learned to the other party."

But all of this happens below the podium; when I step onto the podium and see those people looking at me with eager eyes, I suddenly feel that standing there is necessary, and all I need to do is simply speak out what I've learned so they can understand.

The first class went very smoothly, but most of the time I was lecturing and the students were listening. Later I realized this approach doesn't work because many people's comprehension levels aren't the same.

Some might understand after one explanation, but others still won't get it even after ten times. So I came up with a method: make the whole class interactive.

During the lecture, if there's something they don't understand, after I finish a segment they can raise their hand to point out their doubts and the parts they don't get, and I will explain that segment again in a way they can understand.

In this way, that unease and nervousness gradually faded, replaced by confidence. The later classes went much better; no matter who I faced or what kind of problem, as long as I gave a reasonable explanation, I could maintain the quality of the class.

Qin Ge spoke while Koln nodded seriously. In this matter of teaching in the Grand Lecture Hall, Qin Ge could be considered her teacher.

"Actually, the situation is just like that; perhaps I could be more concise. Today you can sit to the side and listen, on one hand watching how I explain this knowledge, and on the other hand you can combine my classroom atmosphere to work out your own set of teaching methods." Qin Ge smiled.

"Thank you, Instructor Qin Ge." Koln said gratefully.

"It's no big deal, what's there to thank for, and this is just sharing experience—we're originally people who share experience with commanders, right?" Qin Ge waved her hand.

"Hehe." Koln covered her mouth and laughed, and her uneasy heart gradually settled.

In this way, while they exchanged experiences, Qin Ge also described what she would lecture on today and how she would do it, which also let Koln become familiar with today's lesson.

Soon, the preparatory bell rang; Qin Ge and Koln exchanged a glance, left the preparation room, and walked to the entrance of the Grand Lecture Hall.

Standing outside the Grand Lecture Hall, Qin Ge looked toward the entrance and indeed the hall was just as before—seats fully occupied. Moreover, it was clearly visible that some commanders were standing at the back and on both sides.

These commanders' ranks included junior officers and even senior officers, while those seated inside the Grand Lecture Hall were mostly privates and private first class who were commanders.

This was also the rule set by the Prince of Wales in the latter part of the previous semester: tactical lectures primarily target students of the Commander Academy; after that, those who come to observe are the commanders and vice commanders of various fleets, as well as some commanders who have come out of admiration.

Thus this strange scene appeared: junior and senior officers stood at the two sides of the classroom, while the student trainee commanders sat neatly in rows.

However, today differs from before in that the front row is occupied not by commanders, but by envoys from the Eight Major Camps.

Qin Ge was somewhat surprised by their appearance, but not shocked, because their job here is to monitor Qin Ge and oversee her growth.

It's also quite normal for them to appear in Qin Ge's class. Moreover, Qin Ge's books have been widely circulated among the high levels of the Eight Major Camps, and they also want to see what theory this young commander can lecture on.

"Who are they?" Koln, who was following behind Qin Ge, noticed the distinctiveness of the fleet girls in the front row and asked Qin Ge with some surprise.

"They are envoys from the Eight Major Camps; perhaps they will become regular guests at the Grand Lecture Hall. Don't be nervous, they have no ill intent—just treat them as ordinary listeners." Qin Ge gave a slight smile and said to Koln.

Koln nodded thoughtfully, realizing that Qin Ge was very familiar with their identities and showed no surprise at their arrival. It seems there are still many things she doesn't know, and her understanding of Qin Ge remains quite shallow.

When the bell for the start of class rang, Qin Ge herself strode forward toward the Grand Lecture Hall under everyone's gaze and stepped up to the central podium. Koln, accompanying him, went to the side and began to witness Qin Ge's lecture.

All that could be seen was Qin Ge placing her lesson notes on the podium, standing straight, and addressing everyone in the Grand Lecture Hall: "Class begins!"

The sound of neatly arranged chairs shifting suddenly rang out; everyone stood up at that moment, their eyes fixed on Qin Ge.

Qin Ge nodded and then said, "Please be seated."

Another round of synchronized chair movements sounded, and everyone sat down—except for the commanders standing to the sides listening in.

Qin Ge scanned the room, looking at the commanders with various expressions, and said, "First, I welcome the newly arrived first-year commanders here, because starting from this moment, we will officially begin your lives as commanders."

"You are brave, you are fearless, you can become heroes, you can also become guardians."

"But I want to say this: whether you become a hero or a guardian, the most crucial thing is how to survive on the battlefield."

"Why does the Commander Academy make tactics the first class of the semester? The reason is right here: it's so you can employ tactics and strategies well enough to survive on complex battlefields."

"Only by surviving do you have combat power; if you die, you have nothing. So I hope that during my lecture everyone will listen attentively, and if there's anything you don't understand, bring it up promptly and I will explain it for you."

"I hope no one will drift off in my class, because the cost of doing so is something you wouldn't want to pay later."

Having said that, Qin Ge paused slightly, then continued to look at the commanders whose faces had turned solemn.

"As the first class of the semester, I want to explain to everyone what war is, what tactics are, what strategy is, what decision-making is, and what execution is. Although these are oft-discussed topics, I believe it's very necessary to reiterate them as the opening class."

"Because the purpose of you taking this class is also something that will remain etched in your memory forever."

"Well then, let's officially begin!"
