Chapter 2212: Autumn Arrives Late in the Golden City (Part 13)

"I think I have a certain beautification of it."

"Completely wrong. The kind of sun you think of is not the real sun. Besides being bright, the sun is just hot. When you were learning physics, didn't you feel that human knowledge theory was inconsistent with the common sense you learned?"

"I imagined it, but not so scary," Bruce swallowed and said, "I've been to Metropolis, but it wasn't this hot."

"That's because you haven't been to the seaside. The sunshine at the pier is like this. Let's go, we only need to walk 200 meters to reach the shade."

Selina reached out to pull Bruce, but Bruce stood still, and then this evolved into a real dispute.

Selina wrapped her arms around Bruce's waist and dragged him into the sun, while Bruce was like a desperate vampire, grabbing the door frame with both hands, determined not to take a step forward.

"You aren't a real Gothamite," he yelled. "I think we should change the sun back!"

"To keep Lex Luthor from graduating, right? Your acting is too bad, Bruce. Come with me, it's only 200 meters. You've taken sufficient sun protection measures, you won't be sunburned!"

"Let go of me, I won't go."

"Hello, lady, is there any trouble here?" Clark deliberately ignored Bruce and smiled at Selina.

Selina let go, sighed long, also showed a smile, shook hands with Clark, and said, "Nice to see you here. I guessed you would come. No, we didn't encounter any trouble."

Bruce looked at Clark like a life-saving straw, frantically signaling Clark to find an excuse to dispel Selina's idea of going out, but unfortunately, Superman had too much say on the issue of the sun.

He walked out of the gate directly, turned his back to the pier, faced Bruce, took a few steps back, stretched out his arms to bathe in the sunshine, and shouted, "I told you, Bruce, my power comes from the sun. I'm starting to like this city!"

Lex also took a step out, stood in the sunshine from the shadow, and said, "It's time to enjoy the results of my graduation creation. I've said goodbye to my sunspots for too long, they are finally coming back."

Bruce cast his gaze on Diana's face, but unfortunately, Diana seemed to see something across the pier and also walked straight out of the door.

"Very well, you guys go play," Bruce waved his hand and said, "This is impossible, I can't do it."

"But you also sunbathe every day in Mexico," Clark immediately pointed out the key, "You just aren't used to Cat Getan's sun, but the sun is always that sun. This is a psychological problem."

"Then what is your suggestion? See a psychologist?"

"My suggestion is for you to take a step forward. The sun isn't as scary as you imagine," Clark spread his hands and said, "Otherwise I can take you to see near the sun. It's just a burning big fireball, sometimes with a little refreshing breeze."

Bruce shook his head faster than a rattle, waved at several people, and said, "You guys go play, I'll wait here for a while."

Several other people had no choice, but at this time Diana pointed to the sea and said, "It seems someone is having a surfing competition over there. It looks very intense. Do you want to go over and see?"

This successfully aroused the interest of the others. Selina had to say to Bruce, "Then you wait for us at the nearest seat."

Bruce had turned and left.

Not long after he sat down, two figures sat beside him, one on the left and one on the right. On the left was Talia, and on the right was Pamela. Both were a bit sneaky.

Just when Bruce and Selina were arguing, the two of them had already noticed the anomaly here. Originally they didn't intend to come over, but some previous discussions gave them a wonderful idea.

The discussion was still about Talia's task, or rather, it had now become her idea of wanting a child.

"Suppose, I mean suppose a perfect object appeared in front of you, what do you intend to do?"

"What else can I do? Find a way to get to bed with him."

"Do you have the confidence to succeed once?"

"I have a way," Talia cut the butter ham croissant she just ordered and said, "I certainly have a way, otherwise how would I dare to take action? Do you think that group of smart people would give me a second chance?"

"Nothing, I just suspect Batman might put a camera on the safety supplies."

Talia sprayed a mouthful of juice. She took out a tissue to wipe her mouth and said, "You aren't serious, are you?"

"What are you thinking? I'm talking about the box," Pamela was obviously very satisfied with this prank of hers.

"Anyway, don't worry about so much. As long as I can get to bed with them, I can naturally succeed."

"Then the question comes, if you suddenly have a child, what do you think they will think? Do you have the confidence that they won't interfere?"

"I won't let them see the child," Talia tapped the table with her finger and said, "Of course I know this is the best situation, but some encounters are probably hard to avoid. I just want to say, no one can take my child away."

Talia felt a wonderful feeling. When imagining this scene, she indeed felt angry and sad, which was very unreasonable. Logically speaking, she should be open-minded and let her child see his father. There was nothing shameful about this.

"Look, that's it. Now you feel the influence of hormones on you more realistically," Pamela shrugged. "By then, the situation will only be more extreme."

"Do you have any good suggestions?"

Pamela finally smiled. Talia knew this proved that one of her manipulations succeeded. This damn lunatic was just waiting for her to ask this question.

"If you must give an answer to a question, then the best result is not knowing."

"You mean..."

"You can completely tell your child that you don't know who his father is."

"But how could I not..."

Talia was stunned as if she suddenly thought of something.

"Many at the same time, or different ones in a short period of time," Pamela gave her explanation. "This way you don't know who it is, they don't know, and the child won't know."

Talia stared at Pamela and said, "You are crazier than I thought."

Then she started thinking about the exact possibility, and finally she had to admit that this bunch of lunatics in Cat Getan were geniuses one by one, which could perfectly solve the problem of the child's attribution.

The child was definitely born by the mother, so whoever gave birth to him was his only mother, but the father might not be.

At the moment when the embryo was truly produced, in fact, the father and mother couldn't see it, and the child couldn't know it even more. And paternity tests could usually only prove who it wasn't among multiple options. To find the correct answer at once, the more people, the lower the probability, and usually not everyone would cooperate.

Then the only person who truly owned the child was the mother. No matter whether the child or the possible father asked, no one could give an accurate answer.

"But I don't have that many reliable options," Talia frowned and said, "I can't lower the standard for this, because I really need a successor who is good enough. At least he must have a way to protect himself, so genes are very important."

"But the choice is more than you think," Pamela started counting with her fingers, "Bruce Wei En definitely counts as one, of course there is Clark Kent, and Lex Luthor who is equally smart and rich. That's already three."

Talia felt a bit dizzy. She rubbed her temples and said, "Okay, even if I choose the three of them, how do you think I can..."

"Ask directly."

"Ah?"

"Anyway, you have the confidence to succeed once. We don't need to tell them, just gather them together."

"What I'm asking is how can I..."

Pamela tapped the table hard, interrupting what Talia was saying, and said with some dissatisfaction, "Do you want to hear what you are saying? What do you mean by how to gather them together? Don't you have any confidence in your appearance and charm?"

"You are a woman, and a beautiful woman. That's enough. I really don't understand why you assume they aren't willing to do this. Does it have any harm to them?"

Talia opened her mouth. Pamela obviously refreshed her assumption about the craziness of Gothamites again within two minutes.

"But... okay, although I think this thing has no binding force on me, they should have basic morality, right? Bruce Wei En and Clark Kent both have girlfriends..."

"Then call them together."

"Pfft!" Talia sprayed another mouthful of juice.

Then she glared at Pamela fiercely and said, "This is your purpose, right? How the hell could I naively believe you have no ideas about Selina!!"

Pamela showed a bright smile.

And now they were sitting on the left and right of Bruce Wei En. Pamela opened her mouth and made Talia want to knock herself to death on the table.

"The two of us plan to pull you and Selina for a foursome. What do you think?"

What made Talia want to die even more was that Bruce didn't even show surprise for half a second and said, "Of course not."

"Why?" Pamela asked as a matter of course.

Bruce snorted coldly, stared at Pamela, and said, "You and Selina are such good friends, why don't you go ask her?"

"She's too hard to deal with."

"Then you leave the opportunity of being scratched by her to me? You really are my good classmate."

Being rejected by Bruce, Pamela wasn't discouraged. She pulled Talia out of the market and found Clark and Diana in the square by the pier.

Clark knew Pamela, and so did Diana. Clark was surprised at the relationship between Diana and Pamela, and Diana explained that she had gone to the Kent family farm

"So you're leaving the chance for her to scratch your face to me? You really are a great classmate."

Rejected by Bruce, Pamela did not lose heart. She pulled Talia out of the market and found Clark and Diana in the square by the pier.

Clark knew Pamela, and so did Diana. Clark was surprised by the relationship between Diana and Pamela, but Diana explained that she had previously gone to the Kent family farm for some agricultural fair. The eventual smooth resolution of the matter was thanks to Pamela—her analytical article on the production and sales of agricultural products in the Metropolis area had caused Diana's superior to abandon his impractical ideas.

They chatted in a relaxed and pleasant manner. Clark asked Pamela where she had come from, and Pamela said very fluently, "I just came from Bruce's place. I wanted to ask him for a favor, but he wasn't very willing. I was just about to ask you to help me persuade him."

"What favor?"

"It's like this, Talia and I..."

Then Clark watched, dumbfounded, as Pamela spent three minutes explaining to him exactly what they intended to do.

He repeated in disbelief.

"So the situation is actually that Talia wants to sleep with Bruce, Selina wouldn't agree, you want to sleep with Selina, Bruce wouldn't agree, so you two decided to pull Bruce and Selina in at the same time for a foursome?!"

Diana had already started covering her face.

"And you came to find me because you think I'm not bad either, intending to have me persuade Bruce, and at the same time, because you, Talia, Selina, and Bruce are all so hot, join you for a fivesome??!!"

Clark felt his psyche was suffering an unprecedented shock; he instinctively looked at Diana.

"No, don't bring this up with me; it will excessively trigger my homesickness." Diana waved her hands repeatedly.

"Actually," Talia added, "it's a sixsome. Lex isn't bad either."

"A sevensome," Pamela continued. "I know you have a girlfriend, a hot reporter."
