Chapter 2945

~10 min read 1,884 words

After the man left, Tim sat in the chair in a daze; Seeing Natasha brought over two cups of coffee; Nick took a sip, leaned back in the chair, and narrowed his eyes.

"I know you have a lot to ask; I won't talk about those old things; let's talk about S. H. I. E. L. D. and the FBI first."

"Although we are both law enforcement agencies in the United States, because the scope of functions is different, there are some conflicts, just like the FBI and the CIA."

"The contradiction between the two of us is actually greater than the contradiction between them, because we both have law enforcement power in the country, and many times the boundaries are very blurred; some things can be handled by anyone."

"No one wants to do more work, but everyone wants more money, so when things happen, they push them to the other side; when things are solved, they all want to grab the credit, because this helps us get more funds in Congress."

"But... fuck it! I don't use this laborious method," Nick waved his hand vigorously and said: "I have a better way!"

"In order to fight for funds, and also to satisfy the control desire of some big shots, the FBI has never given up sending spies to S. H. I. E. L. D., this international organization."

"It sounds like this should be the work of the CIA, but in fact, agents applied to the country and agents applied to foreign countries are not the same batch of people; the FBI is the one that is easiest to mix sand into."

"Because the young people cultivated through local colleges every year are just those; they either go to the FBI or come to S. H. I. E. L. D.; as long as they buy those people, they can easily replace S. H. I. E. L. D. agents with theirs, and naturally it is easier to shift the blame or grab results in some things."

Tim also gradually listened; because this is actually a logic that is easy to understand; local law enforcement agencies grab the right to speak, and mixing sand into the hands of the other party is the best way; as long as you move your hands and feet slightly at key nodes, you can make the other party suffer a big loss.

The method of mixing sand is also easy, because theoretically, the number of agents that can be selected from each generation of Americans is constant; it will not suddenly increase or decrease, nor will it suddenly change a batch of people; those who can do this work are just those; as long as you watch this group of people, it is easy to buy manpower.

Then what is the better method Nick refers to?

Is it counter-buying? Or arranging your own people in this group in advance?

Just when Tim was thinking, Nick said: "The FBI wants to buy this group of people, but someone wants it more than them."

"Who?" Tim had a bad premonition.

"Of course it's the KGB," Nick said triumphantly. "The FBI just wants to trip me up; the Russian Federal Security Service wants us to die."

"So they are willing to offer a higher price than the FBI, or simply plan for a long time and directly stuff the agents they have cultivated in."

"But it's not that easy, right?" Tim questioned: "Don't American law enforcement agencies and agent organizations all need background checks? How can he make fake identities in large quantities within the United States?"

"Of course they can't do it, but I can!" Nick spread his hands and said: "They can't infiltrate the FBI on a large scale by themselves, but it's different with my help; I guarantee to make them a real identity that can't be more real; no one can find any problems!"

"Then... then why do this?" Tim still didn't quite understand.

"The KGB entered the FBI, but the FBI didn't know they were KGB, thinking they were new agents bought by themselves, so they would send these new agents to S. H. I. E. L. D."

"Then wouldn't the KGB enter S. H. I. E. L. D.? Aren't you looking for trouble for yourself?"

"No, no, no, they can't enter S. H. I. E. L. D. so easily," Nick waved his hand and said: "S. H. I. E. L. D. is an international security organization, much higher than the FBI; the difficulty of infiltration is not ordinary."

"Uh, where is the difficulty?"

"Don't worry about this; in short, we are a very high-level organization; if you want to get in, you have to be well-connected in all aspects..."

"You mean bribery? But if their conditions meet the requirements... wait a minute, their identities were made by you!"

Tim widened his eyes; he finally understood a little.

The KGB wants to infiltrate the FBI and needs Nick to help them make identities, but the FBI wants to send this group of KGB into S. H. I. E. L. D., but S. H. I. E. L. D. can find loopholes in the identities they helped make.

If the identity has loopholes, it can't be sent in by normal methods, but the FBI wants to rely on these people to find trouble for S. H. I. E. L. D., so they have to spend money to connect, and the FBI's funds fell into S. H. I. E. L. D.'s hands like this.

Perfect closed loop.

"Then can't the FBI not send them in?" Tim leaned forward and said.

"Then am I a vegetarian? If they don't use this group of people to find trouble for me and drag my feet, I will take away all the funds in the congressional discussion!"

"How do you do it?" Tim said: "You said it yourself, your functions overlap, so the number of cases solved and the effect of solving cases should be about the same, right?"

Nick smiled disdainfully and said: "Of course it's different; let me ask you, what is the difference in our functions?"

"S. H. I. E. L. D. can handle superpower cases."

"Which is the world's largest superpower terrorist organization?"

"Hydra."

"As long as I let Hydra create infinite superpower cases, what does the FBI have to compare with me?"

"Then how do you control Hydra to create infinite superpower cases?!"

"I can let S. H. I. E. L. D. create infinite superpower cases."

"What?"

"Look, if Hydra agents create cases and S. H. I. E. L. D. agents run over to solve them, then I have to pay for another trip, but if Hydra agents create cases and Hydra agents solve them on the spot, then isn't this transportation fee saved?"

"But how can you control Hydra?"

"I can't control Hydra, but I can control S. H. I. E. L. D."

"???"

"Didn't Schiller tell you?" Nick looked at Tim and said: "I remember I told him to tell you this; without Hydra, there would be no S. H. I. E. L. D."

"Yes, he said that, but doesn't this mean that Hydra created cases, and S. H. I. E. L. D. can get funds?"

"Then you think too much," Nick said. "This sentence is literal; Hydra is S. H. I. E. L. D., and S. H. I. E. L. D. is Hydra."

Tim looked at him with dull eyes.

"And, if Hydra agents create cases and Hydra agents solve them on the spot, there is no need to run to the crime scene, because anyway, writing a report after solving it is no different from sitting in the office and writing a report directly."

"In this way, both sides can sit directly in the S. H. I. E. L. D. office and write reports; I even saved the transportation fee for that trip; no need to run over, no need to work hard to solve, can save a lot of time, can write more reports."

"But... but the case didn't really happen!"

"Yes, this way it won't hurt ordinary people."

"Then wouldn't Congress find out?"

"How would they find out?"

"Of course it's sending... sending the FBI..."

"That's right!" Nick snapped his fingers and said: "They send the FBI to investigate, they have to increase funds for the FBI; once the FBI's funds increase, they rush to stuff people into S. H. I. E. L. D.; if they want to get through S. H. I. E. L. D.'s joints, they have to stuff money into S. H. I. E. L. D.; once S. H. I. E. L. D. has money, they can hire more Hydra; once there is more Hydra, it will arouse Congress's suspicion; once Congress is suspicious, it will give the FBI funds to let them investigate..."

Broken, this closed the loop for him, Tim thought.

"Then aren't you afraid that the KGB will steal information?" Tim is still more concerned about this matter.

But in fact, when this question was asked, he knew he was a bit stupid.

If S. H. I. E. L. D. is Hydra, then the information stolen by the KGB will only be Hydra's information, and they can't get S. H. I. E. L. D.'s information no matter what.

Then, the more they can't steal S. H. I. E. L. D.'s information, the more they will want to send people to the United States; the more people they send, the more new people in the FBI; the more new people, the more people they stuff into S. H. I. E. L. D.; the more people they stuff into S. H. I. E. L. D., the more money they stuff; the more money they stuff, the more Hydra there is; the more Hydra, the less S. H. I. E. L. D. information the KGB gets; the less S. H. I. E. L. D. information, the more they send people to the United States...

Closed the loop for him again.

Tim covered his forehead.

"You are really fucking..." Tim's vocabulary for scolding people hadn't come out yet, and he suddenly thought of the Wayne Group.

After pausing for more than ten seconds, he said: "You are really fucking a genius!"

Tim looked at Nick with shining eyes and said: "I can help you do things, but I don't want your money; after the matter is done, tell me exactly how you did all this."

Nick high-fived him with a smile and said: "Deal!"

"You have to tell me what you want me to find first, where this thing might be, the more specific the better," Tim said.

"A recording pen containing important information," Nick said. "But the trouble is that this is Schiller's private item; we don't know where he will put it; we can only rely on you to find it."

Tim frowned deeply.

When he understood what Nick was doing, he had to admit that this guy was really a genius; whether it was immoral or not was not in Tim's consideration; whether it was easy to use was the point he had to pay attention to.

Being able to be called important information by him, the importance of this thing must be beyond imagination, Tim thought, and Dr. Schiller must also be like the professor, playing an important role in this universe.

He was originally S. H. I. E. L. D.'s psychological consultant, but Nick didn't ask him directly, but let Tim use a means close to stealing to get this thing, which proved that the sensitivity of this thing might be beyond his imagination.

A bunch of conspiracies flashed through Tim's mind instantly.

"You have to give me a chance," Tim proposed. "If your people can't create a good opportunity, I don't have the confidence to succeed in one fell swoop."

"Actually, we are already prepared," Seeing Natasha said. "Remember the farm party around Los Angeles? Schiller has a reason he must go; after he leaves, you find a way to check his private items."

"The reason he must go..." Tim thought and said: "He wants Pamela to get the cabbage that hits people in, but I don't think he will go himself, because he knows how dangerous the cabbage that hits people is."

"He will go," Seeing Natasha smiled mysteriously.
