Chapter 3400
"What the hell, who?!"
Taking advantage of the moment the bull-headed monster was stunned, Stark broke free. After cursing, he asked Jarvis: "Who is this guy?"
After waiting for a long while, Jarvis didn't move. Stark raised his voice and shouted: "Jarvis... Jarvis!!"
"Sorry, sir, Billy is crying; I have to go take care of the child." A messy sound came from the other end of the headset, and then it went completely silent.
Stark was dumbfounded and shouted at the other end: "Is this the meaning of me creating you? To let you leave me alone at a critical moment?! Jarvis!!"
But no matter how much he shouted, Jarvis didn't respond. Stark had to switch the armor to manual operation mode and turned his head to look at the light.
A figure with a silver-white cloak and a hood turned the long staff in his hand. The crescent-shaped staff drew a graceful arc in the air, and the silver-white moonlight covered the entire battlefield like a thin veil.
"Wait, why does this outfit look a bit familiar?" Stark began a brainstorm and then slowly widened his eyes.
"It's not what I think it is, right?!"
"Watch out!!!" Miles's shout came from the side. Stark had just regained his senses when, with a bang, he was shoveled away by the bull-headed monster.
Stark fell heavily to the ground, but the monster had no intention of letting him go. A huge palm grabbed him and directly pinched Stark's neck.
Stark snorted coldly, and the reactor on his chest flashed.
Hum—Zzzzt!!! A bright laser shot out from his chest. The bull-headed monster couldn't dodge in time, was hit in one eye, staggered back a few steps, covered its eye, and let out a scream.
Stark flipped and landed, took off again, looked down at the monster from above, and said: "Someone actually said my reactor was useless. They will never understand the power of a laser directly output by the reactor."
The bull-headed monster was hit, and the gravity field was disturbed. Miles quickly climbed up, and a web stuck to a lamppost and swung over.
"What is this thing?" Miles asked. "I was pressed to the ground and couldn't even climb up."
"It should be a magical construct," Stark said, pretending to be knowledgeable. "My magic core is on the way; I'll end the battle in 20 seconds."
After the monster appeared, the crowd fled in all directions. But the police blocking the intersection thought they were deliberately trying to break through the line and drew their guns at the people running out.
The crowd was already panicked, and being blocked by the police triggered a stress response, so they didn't care about anything and just wanted to run out. With a few bangs of gunfire, Stark immediately knew it was bad.
He turned his head abruptly, just about to stop the police, when he saw someone among those who hadn't run out clutching their head and screaming wildly.
"Agh!!!!"
A woman holding a banner slowly knelt down, letting out an incoherent scream, her whole body trembling, and then her muscles began to expand.
"Stop her, hurry and stop her!!" Stark was burning with anxiety. Where this woman was, police cars were blocking all intersections, and most people hadn't had time to run away. If she also turned into a monster, one step could trample at least three or four people to death.
"Miles, tie her up!" Stark shouted.
The gravity field was gradually recovering; Miles stretched out his arms with some difficulty, a web stuck to the woman's ankle, and then he pulled hard. The woman, who hadn't fully transformed yet, fell to the ground.
Bang!
"Don't shoot!!"
It was too late when Stark shouted. The police subconsciously fired at the monster, but this only stimulated the monster even more, accelerating the transformation process. Within just two seconds, the woman's skin turned completely green.
Bull horns grew from both sides of her head. By the time Stark flew over, a huge monster almost identical to the previous bull-headed monster appeared in the crowd.
Stark didn't know if the opponent had the same gravity ability, but he reacted as quickly as possible—directly grabbing the monster's right leg and flying into the sky with it.
The time was too short; Stark didn't have time to increase the engine output. When he flew to a height of about 10 meters, the gravity field took effect. The man and the monster fell straight down.
Stark let go, curled his body, and prepared to meet the impact. But the next second, a white moonlight wrapped around his armor, reducing the speed of the fall, and then threw him to the side. Stark rolled a few times, shedding most of the impact.
With a bang, a huge black shadow fell next to him. The landing shook twice; Stark looked up, and the rotating crescent long staff, carrying intertwined moonlight, flew over and slammed into the bull-headed monster's neck.
A white light chain projected from top to bottom, condensing into a figure. The silver-white gauntlet gripped the long staff and plunged it down with force.
With a sizzle, blood splattered. Stark blocked the half of the faceplate with his hand and then climbed up from the ground.
Looking from this angle, the area under the hood seemed empty, with only a piece of cold moonlight. But Stark keenly felt that he was smiling.
The long staff was pulled out, and the bull-headed monster with its neck severed quickly turned back into the original appearance of the Black man. The injury on the neck didn't improve, but he was clearly still conscious.
Stark hurried to lean down. The Black man moved his mouth wanting to say something, but blood choked into his throat, and he couldn't say anything, his face showing an extremely painful expression.
Stark clenched his fists, opened his mouth wanting to say something, but saw light like mercury pouring down from the man's head, freezing the blood and his ferocious expression into a sculpture, and then disappearing into the hazy moonlight.
The long staff returned to the opponent's hand, and the center of the crescent moon flowed with misty white fog, looking mysterious and unreachable.
A flash of light appeared in the sky, and Stark heard the familiar command. A piece of armor flew behind him. Stark's gaze was still fixed on the person opposite, but he turned around, took the magic core off the chest of the armor, and plugged it into his own chest.
In a flash, Stark seemed to understand something. He just gave the mysterious person in the hood a provocative look, then rose from the ground and flew toward the other bull-headed monster.
Feeling the full magic power, the world in Stark's eyes changed. He saw that on the bull horns that the bull-headed monster grew out of thin air, there were two crystals emitting magical fluctuations. That seemed to be the key to maintaining the monster's body existence and the gravity field.
The magic core made him completely immune to gravity effects. The armor drew an arc in the air, and after adjusting the angle, Stark manually released the hand cannon lock and stretched out his hand to aim at the monster's bull horns.
The muzzle opened, but what flew out wasn't a cannonball, but a gorgeous magic beam.
But this monster seemed to have extraordinary alertness. The huge body twisted to the side, and Stark's magic laser missed.
But Miles seized the opportunity, flipped on the ground, and the web shooter shot a sticky web, which stuck to the bull-headed monster's waist.
He pressed the button on his wrist with his other hand, and the web shooter fell off. Miles took the web shooter and threw it toward Stark.
Stark understood, swept across at low altitude, caught the web shooter, and pulled the bull-headed monster into the sky with the web.
The range of the gravity field was not infinite. Stark dragged the bull-headed monster for more than 20 meters, and the influence of the field disappeared.
The two Ghost Riders on the ground were finally able to climb up. Johnny's flaming eyes stared at the bull-headed monster; just as the flames were about to burn, Danny slammed into Johnny again, knocking him to the ground.
"Stop! Johnny! You can't hurt anyone anymore!"
Miles had no time to pay attention to their brotherly love drama. After recovering his mobility, he quickly climbed to the roof of the building, then came to the other side, watching the situation on the street below.
The crowd was still running out in a mess; the police didn't block them anymore, because they were also busy running for their lives. But the police cars were all stuck on the road, and the police could only be swept out among the crowd.
Among the crowd like a school of fish, Miles found several suspicious objects; they not only didn't run but sat in the car, holding something and filming.
Miles's eyeballs turned, swung down with a web, covered his actions with the chaotic crowd, and jumped from a lamppost onto the top of a car.
He poked his head down and saw a man's terrified expression. Miles snatched the camera from his hand.
"Damn it! Give it back!!" the man roared. "Here is the evidence of their genocide!"
"Genocide?" Miles repeated the word, still poking his head from the roof of the car, looking at the man and saying, "You call a superhero battle against monsters genocide?"
"What do you know! These white superheroes killed two Black people! This is genocide!" the Black man in the car shouted.
"Not to mention anything else, are you sure the superheroes are all white?" Miles's spider compound eyes narrowed, and he said, "Your accent sounds much whiter than mine."
The man was stunned, looking at Miles in great shock. He had just reacted, how could this new Spider-Man have a Black accent?!
"Alright, brother, tell me what's going on. Who sent you here? What exactly does he want to do?"
"I... no one sent me here; I just heard there was a Black protest here and came to help!"
"Alright, since you don't want to say, I can only use a more 'nigger' way to investigate the truth."
Bang!
Stark took the bull-headed monster into the sky. The monster couldn't fly; in the air, it was just hanging by a rope, and it couldn't dodge anywhere even if it moved around. Stark took out a bull horn with one hand cannon shot.
Judging from the magical fluctuations, the gravity field disappeared. To figure out what was going on, Stark slowly descended and put it on the ground.
The bull-headed monster roared and climbed up, pouncing toward Stark. Stark waved his hand, and a magic shield appeared in front of the armor. The bull-headed monster hit it and let out a scream.
Various analysis data appeared in front of Stark, but some data were very chaotic, clearly affected by magic. Stark shook his head and said: "Alright, it seems I have to take you back."
After saying that, he didn't destroy the other horn but directly let the armor used to transport the magic core fly over. The moment the nano-armor touched the bull-headed monster's skin, it turned into a fluid and wrapped around it, gradually covering the monster's whole body, and then flew away with it.
Stark withdrew his gaze and found that the silver-white figure was standing on the roof, with the bright moon hanging high above the New York night sky behind him.
The moonlight condensed, and the figure appeared behind the two Ghost Riders along with the light. The moment the long staff was swung, Stark wanted to stop it, but it was too late.
Bang! Bang!
