Chapter 1453

"DVD?" Liu Yahang said somewhat uncertainly: "Isn't it VCD?"

Luo Yuezhen organized her language: "I can't say specifically, but according to what is written in the newspaper, DVD and VCD are the same, but the performance is much higher..."

Liu Yahang asked: "Where is the newspaper?"

"Outside, I'll get it for you." Luo Yuezhen turned and went out, and soon brought a newspaper in, it was the Yangcheng Daily.

Liu Yahang took it, the headline was the headline, which made his spirit lift.

Yangcheng Daily, the headline must be political news, major events at home and abroad.

But now the report is indeed domestic technology news, which also proves that the release of the DVD format standard is shocking.

Of course, he doesn't understand some professional things, but he understood two places.

The 4.7G capacity of a single-sided DVD disc is more than 6 times larger than the 700MB of a CD disc.

This is definitely not something that can be developed by patting the head, it must involve materials science.

At the same time, the MPEG2 technical standard was also announced, reaching broadcast-level standard-definition broadcast quality.

After a while, Liu Yahang raised his head, silently put down the newspaper, and a smile slowly appeared on his face.

"Awesome, Dongzi has gained face for our country, but it's not so easy to make foreigners bow their heads and admit the format standard we released."

Luo Yuezhen was stunned: "Our technology has been released, why don't they admit it?"

"You don't understand."

Liu Yahang picked up the cigarette on the desk and lit it.

"In the field of technology, patents are the magic weapon for victory, and standards are the heavenly rules for dominance. Whoever possesses the latest technology possesses the control to launch a great war and win the market.

And whoever possesses standards can unify the writing and the tracks, command the world, and play with the market situation in the palm of their hands."

Speaking of this, Liu Yahang looked up at Luo Yuezhen.

"Think about it, patents and standards have always been the sharp tools for developed countries to harvest developing countries. Now the DVD format standard is released by Chinese people.

This is equivalent to Zhou Andong peeing in the bowl they use to hold meat. This makes them feel disgusted, but also makes them unable to eat the meat of DVD patents and standards. Tell me, can they be willing?"

Luo Yuezhen gritted her teeth and cursed: "Foreign ghosts, there is really nothing good."

"Don't worry too much." Liu Yahang said with a smile: "In terms of patents, as long as Dongzi applies for them, the US and Western countries can't help but admit them.

If they don't admit our patents, we won't admit their patents either, so in this regard, it is very favorable for us.

Therefore, the only thing they can compete for is the format standard, but I think Dongzi must have a way to deal with it. In other words, even if Dongzi loses the battle for the format standard. He still holds patents in his hand, which can also make him eat until his belly is full."

Liu Yahang stood up: "No matter what, just like the headline of this article, this will be an epic sung by us Chinese people with the main theme.

Just like you said just now, the DVD format standard is released by Chinese people, which will definitely cause a technology earthquake. Not only on our land in China, but even internationally, it will shake."

"Go book a ticket."

Luo Yuezhen's heart was angry at those robbers in the US and Western countries, but she was also happy for Zhou Andong.

Shenzhen Nanke Electronics, boss Gao Zhenyuan's office has two sets of home theaters.

One set is Wan Yan, one set is Yuzhou, holding a microphone in his left hand, and a microphone in his right hand.

He sang two sentences into the microphone in his left hand, and then sang two sentences into the microphone in his right hand.

Just like this, he sang for more than ten minutes, then put down the two microphones in his hand, and sat on the sofa with a thud.

A young man sat opposite him: "How is it?"

Gao Zhenyuan picked up the cigarette and lit it, saying thoughtfully: "I feel that the sound effects of Wan Yan and Yuzhou are about the same. Although the appearance is different, it should be from the same manufacturer."

"I think so too." The young man nodded: "But this is not important, the launch of the home theater combination is a threat to VCD single-machine sales."

Gao Zhenyuan crossed his legs, his fingers tapping rhythmically on his knees.

"Postpone our VCD listing plan, find speaker manufacturers, we also have to launch home theaters."

"I have already asked people to handle it." The young man nodded: "Did you read the Yangcheng Daily today?"

Gao Zhenyuan shook his head: "Is there big news?"

"Yes!" The young man said: "The release of the DVD format standard."

"DVD?" Gao Zhenyuan was stunned.

"Right!" The young man said: "It can be considered an upgraded version of VCD, but whether it is error correction function, clarity, or function and disc storage capacity, it is incomparable to VCD."

Gao Zhenyuan smiled slightly, he didn't care: "Is it Sony, Hitachi, or Matsushita, or Philips, Siemens?"

"None of them." The young man looked at Gao Zhenyuan: "It's Yuzhou."

Gao Zhenyuan held the cigarette in his hand, just about to smoke, when he heard the young man's words, his body stiffened, and his face was full of disbelief.

"How is it possible?"

The young man said solemnly: "When I saw this news, I also felt that this joke was a bit big. But it was published in the Yangcheng Daily, and it was the headline, so it must be true."

Gao Zhenyuan stood up at once, pressed the cigarette he had smoked for a few puffs into the ashtray.

Walked quickly to the desk, and found the Yangcheng Daily in a pile of newspapers.

Sure enough, the headline reported the news of Yuzhou Technology releasing the DVD format standard.

He stood there and looked, his expression became solemn, and after reading it, he silently put down the newspaper, and didn't speak for a long time.

"If the data reported in the news is true, then the technology of DVD is too powerful compared to VCD."

Gao Zhenyuan slowly turned around and looked at the young man.

"VCD was just born, hasn't grown up yet, is it going to be eliminated by DVD? Should we launch VCD according to the plan?"

The young man pondered and said: "I think, even if Yuzhou Technology announces the DVD format standard, it doesn't mean the technology is mature. It will take at least two or three years, or even longer, to mass-produce and push to the market."

Gao Zhenyuan asked: "Based on what analysis?"

The young man pointed to the Yuzhou home theater: "If DVD technology is mature and can be pushed to the market within a year, Yuzhou would never launch VCD, and invest a lot of money in advertising."

Gao Zhenyuan walked back and forth in the office with his hands behind his back: "I think DVD is the future, and VCD is a transitional product."
