Chapter 205: Observations of the Spirit Realm
Xiao Taiyang Dai Lik then steered the conversation toward the exploration team, his tone inevitably a bit worried as he said:
"Silver City still organized an exploration of that temple, but the leader was not Elder Luo Wei Ya, but another Elder Wei Te, who is a powerful demon hunter and also a very senior elder."
"In this exploration team, there are several people I know, but they have all shown some changes in personality."
"They have been polluted by the True Creator!"
The Hanged Man A'erjie said without hesitation, in a confident tone.
Lei Ke Dun frowned lightly, then relaxed.
Silver City could not abandon the exploration of the half‑ruined temple just because of Xiao Taiyang's words; changing the leading elder already meant that Silver City largely believed Xiao Taiyang.
Justice Ao Dai Li couldn't help glancing at the highest seat of the bronze long table; she remembered clearly that Mr. Fool's follower had once disrupted the descent of that evil god.
"Really?" Dai Lik asked, a rhetorical question he was reluctant to accept.
The Hanged Man A'erjie said evenly:
"Describe their changes in detail."
"They feel like the same person, yet they are vastly different from before; optimism turned into gloom, radiant smiles became merely polite smiles."
Dai Lik recounted all the anomalies he had noticed, and then added:
"I don't know if this is my illusion; my perception tells me they are still themselves, but when facing them, an inexplicable panic rises in my heart."
"It's as if only a surface remains, and inside they have already become someone else."
The Hanged Man A'erjie considered and said:
"The situation may be more serious than you imagine!"
"Being polluted is the best possible scenario; if they have sincerely come to worship the True Creator, that would be trouble, irredeemable."
Frowning and pondering for a moment, Lei Ke Dun also thought the members of the exploration team were likely already polluted, then voiced his hypothesis:
"The True Creator is the genuine deity governing the realm of corruption, possessing partial authority over decay, impurity, and mutation."
"If your feeling is correct, those exploration team members may have already undergone mutation."
"Then what should I do? The chief seems not to trust me much."
Xiao Taiyang Dai Lik asked anxiously.
Magician Fo Si couldn't help sighing:
"To your chief, there is no distinction between A Meng, the True Creator, and Mr. Fool."
"They cannot discern which side is benevolent and which is malicious."
While speaking, Fo Si also carefully glanced at Mr. Fool at the highest seat; she felt that her earlier grouping of A Meng, the True Creator, and Mr. Fool was rather presumptuous.
Seeing that Mr. Fool did not get angry because of it, she exhaled, and silently warned herself: no more speaking disrespectfully in the future.
Lei Ke Dun hummed for two seconds and said:
"Your chief certainly pays some attention to those exploration team members; they cannot stir up a big wave."
"More than that, what matters now is to earn your chief's trust as much as possible, at least to have him categorize Mr. Fool, who is in contact with you, as relatively friendly and somewhat trustworthy."
"That benefits you and Silver City alike."
"Then what should I do?" Xiao Taiyang Dai Lik asked eagerly.
Lei Ke Dun frowned, thought for a moment, then carefully spoke:
"My advice is, don't overperform; just do what you want and ought to do."
"When facing a mysterious great being, any of your actions will be overinterpreted by your chief!"
Xiao Taiyang Dai Lik nodded seriously, though he didn't fully understand.
"That Time Worm can be fully used to gain some trust from your chief."
The Hanged Man then said:
"You only need to find an opportunity, let a member of an exploration team display the most extreme anomaly, clash with him, then hand over the Time Worm."
"Then describe some vague process yourself, making it appear as a conflict between A Meng and the True Creator, exposing both, and in that process, it is Mr. Fool who protects you."
Lei Ke Dun frowned sharply at the hearing and interrupted A'erjie:
"This is meaningless; Silver City will notice at least a bit if Dai Lik is parasitized and the exploration team polluted. They've survived in the dangerous God‑abandoned Land for millennia!"
A'erjie was somewhat angry at being cut off, but above the gray mist, before Mr. Fool, he did not show it overtly, merely furrowing his brows, clearly displeased.
Lei Ke Dun resumed his lazy posture leaning on the high‑backed chair, turned to Xiao Taiyang Dai Lik and said:
"What you truly need to watch is A Meng, not the True Creator; He will not take the initiative to do anything to Silver City, and even if His state is not problematic, He will still shield you."
"But A Meng is different; A Meng's goal is clear—something on you attracts Him."
"A Meng's avatars are more than you think; Silver City surely still has His avatars!"
Lei Ke Dun's final sentence turned Dai Lik's complexion pale; the relief he felt from previously escaping A Meng vanished completely.
Dai Lik's pleading gaze turned to the highest seat, toward Mr. Fool shrouded in gray mist.
Ke Lai En sighed inwardly; he understood A Meng's precise target—himself above the gray mist, more accurately, the space above this gray mist.
However, A Meng probably won't parasitize Xiao Taiyang again; I can observe and cleanse His parasitism at any time, and Silver City is not weak—important personnel and important occasions would likely detect any parasite.
Thus, although Silver City likely still has A Meng's avatars, they are probably only on the fringes, on unimportant people or creatures.
Having grasped the general situation, Ke Lai En exhaled, leaned back slightly against the chair back, tapped the edge of the bronze long table twice to draw everyone's attention, then said leisurely:
"No need to worry; A Meng will no longer parasitize or appear around you arbitrarily—this would be meaningless!"
"This is meaningless!" Ao Dai Li repeated the sentence in her mind, then added internally: because I will act!
"Meaningless? Meaningless!"
Xiao Taiyang Dai Lik repeated it twice himself, then, with great respect, bowed to Mr. Fool at the highest seat and said, "Thank you, esteemed Mr. Fool!"
He then turned his gaze to Lei Ke Dun beside him, curiously asking:
"Mr. White Tower, why won't the True Creator do anything to Silver City? Isn't He an evil god?"
Lei Kedun was about to speak when he glanced at the lowest seat, where Ke Lai En's Xiaohao Shijie shifted his body, as if a pig were about to speak; Lei Kedun simply swallowed his words, more curious about how Ke Lai En would speak.
The gloomy World cleared his throat, then raspily said:
"Because His target lies beyond the God‑Abandoned Land, compared to your Silver City, He is more eager to escape His own madness!"
"In the more ancient ages, the True Creator was the deity everyone worshipped; the present Seven Great Churches were then all secret societies."
"What?" Justice Audrey slightly opened her lips; World's words had completely upended her occult knowledge.
"Impossible!" the Hanged Man reflexively retorted, but soon fell silent again.
He gave a vague glance at the topmost Fool, who seemed to tacitly accept World's words.
"Is this blasphemy!" Not a devout believer, Magician Folsi's first reaction was that World's words constituted blasphemy!
Lei Kedun glanced at the lowest World, met his gloomy gaze, slightly opened his mouth, then closed it.
He silently snarked, "You really are a copy‑cat!"
Little Sun watched the others' reactions in silence; his understanding of the True Creator was wrong, all derived from the last transaction with them, but now it seemed the information he obtained then was not complete.
Seeing everyone silent for a long while, Little Sun, a bit embarrassed, spoke again:
"How should we deal with those exploration team members polluted by the True Creator?"
"Hand them over with the Time Worm to your chief; he will handle it."
The gloomy World rasped his voice and said.
Ke Lai En also noted the Hanged Man's experiences; they were not very useful for Silver City in the God‑Abandoned Land, prone to judgment errors, so he offered a plan based on his knowledge of Silver City.
Little Sun Dairike pondered for a moment, then slowly nodded, "I understand!"
He then expressed thanks to everyone again.
Little Sun's matter concluded; Magician Folsi, who had witnessed everything, suddenly had an idea, she flicked her slightly wavy long hair and said:
"I want to know which family the Apprentice Path belongs to? I'm willing to trade a chapter from the Spiritual Realm Observations."
"Although this is considered the ramblings of a madman, based on my several trips in and out of the Spiritual Realm, many descriptions are true."
Spiritual Realm Observations? Ke Lai En leaned back slightly, manipulating Xiaohao Shijie, answered before Hanged Man A'erjie:
"I know the answer and can give you some relevant information for free."
"Alright." Folsi restrained her joy, responded in an even tone.
Then World asked hoarsely:
"Do you want to hear the answer alone, or should everyone hear it?"
Magician Folsi considered for a few seconds, then, contrary to others' expectations, said:
"Let's put it that way."
World showed little expression, seemed indifferent, said in a low hoarse voice:
"In the Fourth Era, the Apprentice Path was held by the Abraham Family, later flowing into the Tamara Family, with whom they long maintained contact."
"In the Fifth Era, the current age, the Spiritual Knowledge Society also has Apprentice and Trickster Master demonic elixir formulas, widely believed to be linked to the Abraham and Tamara families; of course, some suspect the Spiritual Knowledge Society is actually a disguise of the Witch Sect."
Considering that Miss Magician had already encountered members of the Abraham Family, Ke Lai En added:
"It is said the Abraham Family has long borne a bloodline curse, forced to disperse their residences to avoid danger."
