Chapter 206: Doomsday Prophecy
The trading portion ended quickly, and the gathering moved into a stage where each shared their observations.
Justice Ao Daili looked around with interest, a faint smile on her face, and said:
"Last week, an interesting case occurred in Beikelande, and the protagonist was called the 'Rogue Black Emperor'."
While speaking, Ao Daili glanced at Mr. Fool amid the dense gray mist, received no response, paused briefly, and then continued:
"The victim was the billionaire Ka Ping; many rumors identify him as Beikelande's biggest human trafficker. The Rogue Black Emperor infiltrated his villa, eliminated everyone inside, and rescued numerous innocent girls imprisoned in the dungeon."
"When Ka Ping's corpse was found, it was covered with a tarot card showing the 'Emperor' and the 'White Tower' on its face."
At this point, Ao Daili deliberately glanced at Lei Ke Dun, codenamed 'White Tower', but saw no reaction.
The Hanged Man A'erjie keenly noticed the phrase 'human trafficker' and then, thoughtfully, turned to the head of the bronze long table, humbly asking:
"Mr. Fool, is Ka Ping connected to the colonial slave disappearance incident?"
Under the dense gray mist, Ke Lai En was slightly startled; he hadn't expected the Hanged Man to ask that question.
Upon reflection, the Hanged Man's speculation was not impossible: there were at least four extraordinary individuals in his villa, which was abnormal. Moreover, after He La Si used a mysterious item, he effectively became a Sequence Five.
Ke Lai En vaguely felt these matters could be linked, and after a brief contemplation, he chuckled lightly and said:
"My follower made a trivial contribution to this matter."
Indeed! Justice Ao Daili and Magician Fo Er Si both sighed inwardly.
The Hanged Man A'erjie pondered in his mind what the connection was between the trafficker Ka Ping and the slave disappearance incident.
Seeing the topic had turned to Ka Ping, Ke Lai En continued in a relaxed tone:
"He acquired two extraordinary traits in this affair, hoping to sell them quickly; those traits correspond to the Interrogator of Sequence Seven and the Judge of Sequence Six."
Interrogator— isn't that the Arbiter path held by the Luen royal family? Is 'Judge' a name of a later sequence? Most likely, behind Sequence Six Ka Ping is backed by the Luen royal family or the military, or an ancient noble house? It could also be the Ka Si Ti Ya family of Fei Nei Bo Te.
The Hanged Man frowned, increasingly feeling that the slave disappearance incident was not as simple as it appeared.
As a noble, Justice Ao Daili was familiar with the Arbiter path, and she likewise thought similarly to the Hanged Man.
Magician Fo Er Si, puzzled by the term 'extraordinary trait', looked toward the head of the bronze long table and asked, somewhat confused:
"Mr. Fool, what is an extraordinary trait?"
Hearing Fo Er Si's confusion, Ao Daili, seated nearby, spoke up:
"Mr. Fool, may I answer this question? The corresponding reward will be given to you directly by her."
She was somewhat worried that Mr. Fool might not want to repeat what had already been said, so she volunteered to answer Fo Er Si.
"No problem." A voice from within the gray mist replied evenly.
Ao Daili silently exhaled, then turned to Fo Er Si and said:
"What reward are you willing to give for this answer?"
Fo Er Si looked toward the mist‑shrouded figure at the head and asked very respectfully:
"Mr. Fool, may I offer another chapter of 'Spiritual Realm Observations' as payment?"
"Sure."
Leaning on his high‑back chair, Ke Lai En replied in a rather indifferent tone.
"Thank you, Mr. Fool."
Fo Er Si displayed a very pleasant smile.
She intuitively felt she was about to encounter some secret, high‑level knowledge!
Ao Daili, seeing that Fo Er Si had completed the deal with Mr. Fool, felt a quiet joy for her friend, then smiled lightly and said:
"In the transcendent world, there is a law:"
"Within adjacent paths, the total amount of extraordinary traits is conserved; it neither increases nor decreases, only transferring from one thing to another, changing from one form to another."
"Thus, when an extraordinary being dies, the traits gained from ingesting a demonic elixir are released, equivalent to the primary ingredient of a demonic elixir of the corresponding sequence; combined with the appropriate auxiliary materials, a complete demonic elixir can be concocted."
"Except for the remnants of the uncontrolled, which have too many risks and can only be used as items."
After an extraordinary being dies, its traits are released, equivalent to the primary ingredient of a demonic elixir?
In that instant, Fo Er Si felt as if lightning flashed through her mind, and she suddenly understood many things.
The heirloom given to her by Mrs. An Li Sa was her own extraordinary trait.
So this means that, in others' eyes, every extraordinary being is just a walking material—how dark!
Unconsciously, Fo Er Si had already clenched her fists; she suddenly realized that the essence of the transcendent world seemed to be written with madness.
"I understand, thank you for your answer." Fo Er Si nodded thoughtfully.
However, she had no intention of purchasing the Interrogator's extraordinary trait; after all, she is only an Arbiter, still some way from Sequence Seven, and with her finances she could not afford a trait equivalent to the primary ingredient of a Sequence Seven demonic elixir.
The group then each shared their observations for a while, until the head Mr. Fool said calmly:
"Let's end today's gathering here."
"As you wish." Lei Ke Dun rose with Ao Daili, Fo Er Si, and the others, bowing.
Crimson light flickered across his vision, a brief moment of dizziness; when he came to his senses, Lei Ke Dun was already back in his study.
He rose, stretched lazily, and glanced at the desk beside him, seeing no messenger's letter.
Fu Lan Ke's reply this time is a bit slow; I still want to get the captain to help sooner, to liquidate the loot taken from Ka Ping!
Gathering his scattered thoughts, Lei Ke Dun prepared to ask the Hidden Sage for some Generalist Path demonic elixir formulas and data, hoping to advance civilization; this path was the most suitable.
Bowing his head in contemplation for a moment, Lei Ke Dun softly recited the honored name of the Hidden Sage:
"Sage who perceives the world, eyes that probe truth, embodiment of endless knowledge and spirit numbers!"
"I wish to petition you;"
"I need some knowledge of the Perfecter Path."
With the prayer ending, Lei Ke Dun felt his consciousness suddenly elevated, and a brilliant star river appeared in his vision.
As his gaze widened, the radiant star river revealed its true form:
A pair of eyes, containing countless brilliant stars, cold and indifferent, without eyelashes.
The next moment, a massive flood of information poured into Lei Kedun's mind like a torrent.
A heavy, dull ache surged, causing Lei Kedun to let out a muffled hum.
Although he had long grown accustomed to the Hidden Sage's knowledge infusion, this time the knowledge seemed to involve higher‑level matters, placing unusually great pressure on Lei Kedun.
It took several minutes before he finished sorting the knowledge the Hidden Sage had injected into his mind.
Leaning against the window, his head no longer heavy or throbbing, Lei Kedun finally recalled in detail the information he had received:
Including the Generalist of Sequence Nine and the alchemical potion formulas of the Sequence Four Alchemist.
And some information about the Perfecter Path:
The inspiration from potions is quite limited; one rarely hears sounds that should not be heard, nor sees scenes that should not be seen.
The core is to lead civilization toward developmental leaps. Basically, the extraordinary high‑sequence Generalists can hand‑craft things like mechas and nuclear fusion without issue, but they cannot achieve mass production.
Is it because the current Earth is in a sealed state, restricting many resources, thus temporarily limiting mass production? To advance civilization now, one can only guide energy and technology development through mysticism.
Lei Kedun furrowed his brows, rubbed his chin with his right hand, and pondered silently.
His gaze unintentionally followed the upward motion to the sky, then averted, refusing to contemplate that angle.
"If wind power, electricity, and solar energy develop, the Storm Church and the Eternal Blazing Sun Church will immediately charge me with a blasphemy crime!"
He muttered two helpless sentences under his breath, shook his head, stopped dwelling on those issues, and began filtering people suitable for the Generalist path.
Until evening, Ke Lai En knocked on the main door, handing two copies of the Spiritual Realm Gazette to Lei Kedun.
"Inside it mentions two prophecies, giving me a rather uneasy premonition,"
Ke Lai En lowered his eyes and explained in a single sentence.
Lei Kedun roughly guessed which prophecies Ke Lai En referred to, gave a slight nod, took the two copies of the Spiritual Realm Gazette, skimmed past the first chapter, and looked at the later content:
"A gaze from the starry sky will descend; the earth will split into four parts, and everything in the world will cease to exist."
The second prophecy concerns the Abraham family: the day the curse is lifted is also the beginning of the Abraham's true calamity.
After reading the two prophecies in the Spiritual Realm Gazette, Lei Kedun's expression did not change as he returned the papers, and said:
"Huang Guangweinitan is a symbol of the astrological domain; his prophecies carry sufficient authority."
"I know, which is why I came to ask you," Ke Lai En nodded lightly, then continued:
"You should know something, right? About the apocalypse prophecy, or the Abraham family's curse."
Lei Kedun gave a noncommittal nod, did not rush to answer, poured a freshly brewed cup of black tea for Ke Lai En, then returned to his seat and resumed the previous topic:
"The apocalypse cannot be spoken of; at least one must possess angelic stature, otherwise it is suicide!"
"The prophecy concerning the Abraham family also relates to you."
"Mr. Men?" Ke Lai En reacted quickly; the Abraham family controls the Apprentice Path, which is also one of the routes beneath the Source Fortress.
Lei Kedun gave a slight nod, sighed, and said:
"Mr. Men is only one ritual away from becoming a deity, but unfortunately, he has been corrupted."
"The Abraham family holds the vast majority of items corresponding to this path, and because of Mr. Men's influence, no true strongman has ever emerged."
