Chapter 364: Disaster of the Rosed Islands
In the waters of the Rosed Sea, over an uninhabited stretch of ocean.
Suddenly, star after star manifested, densely packed and dazzlingly brilliant.
These gleaming starlights swiftly converged into a cluster, and amid the scattered starlight rays, Reiton's figure appeared.
The figure had barely manifested when dense gray mist surged before him, rising with deep crimson radiance. A tall angel bearing twelve pairs of jet-black wings appeared, wrapping Reiton layer upon layer with its wings—like an embrace, a blessing.
A moment later, all of this abruptly vanished.
"Looks like Klein has shaken off the Black Death. I hope he gets back to shore soon; I need some help from 'The Fool,'" Reiton muttered to himself. His eyes suddenly grew profound, losing focus, becoming a vast blur.
He attempted to find the most suitable solution through prophecy.
The next moment, his body turned instantly transparent, becoming a statue formed from countless converging starlights. Streams of crystalline, bone-chillingly cold flowing light fell from high above.
Wherever they passed, the air instantly solidified, forming solid frost.
These streams of flowing light shattered the starlight-formed statue into fragments, scattering it into specks of brilliant starlight. Before they could even begin to flow, they were swept along by the extreme cold and plunged beneath the ocean surface, then imprisoned by heavy ice crystals.
"'Concealment' is what counters prophecy the most."
Yalina Soren's figure manifested from high above. Her fiery red hair hung loosely, covering the key parts of her body while exposing expanses of snowy white—just looking at her made one's blood rush downward and the mind wander.
On the index finger of her left hand was a plainly designed ring, a silver base set with a black, multi-faceted gemstone.
An indistinct luster shone from the gemstone on the ring. The next moment, the surroundings abruptly fell silent, and even the light instantly dimmed, as though they had entered a profound night.
A sense of peace and tranquility enveloped the surroundings. Even the specks of starlight frozen in the ice gradually dimmed, as if about to fall into silence.
Within the heavy ice layer, brilliant specks of starlight floated, constantly flashing with dazzling radiance before quickly dimming again, as if struggling against some intangible force.
The ice layer rapidly took on a deep green hue, as if infected by a mysterious virus. Even the constantly flickering starlight took on a faint green glow along with it.
The next moment, the brilliant stars sealed beneath the heavy ice abruptly erupted with sunlight so pure and blazing white it reached the very extreme.
This radiance pierced through the profound surroundings. The rapidly rising temperature melted the heavy ice, and the vast, suffusive aura of the sun instantly purified all viruses and bacteria in the vicinity.
The surrounding light continuously expanded, dispersing the darkness of night almost instantly. A blazing white miniature "sun," intense enough to illuminate a city, materialized out of thin air.
It was composed of countless tiny blazing white points of light, wreathed in sacred, fierce pale golden flames.
This "sun" rapidly ascended, trailing a pure white stream of light through the air, and crashed straight into the Witch suspended in midair, engulfing her within, igniting her flesh, and dissolving her spirituality.
The Immortal Witch's powerful vitality, beneath this blazing white "sun," was dissolved without any resistance, shattering like a glass mirror.
Those mirror fragments rapidly melted under the fierce heat and vanished entirely.
Yalina Soren's figure materialized in another direction. The high temperatures generated by the blazing white "sun" seemed to have no effect on her whatsoever.
Her fiery red hair spread wildly, each strand connected to an invisible transparent thread. Dark red flames flickered along them, forming an exaggerated spider web that enclosed the blazing white "sun" within it.
A beam of blazing white light separated from the "sun," transforming into a scorching, blinding ray that struck toward the red-haired, wildly flowing Yalina Soren at incredible speed.
Her figure shattered once more, and a small number of mirror fragments fell into the ocean surface below.
Her figure then materialized in another direction, accompanied by yet another scorching, blinding ray attack.
Crash! Pieces of mirror fragments fell—the one hit was still a mirror illusion. Beam after beam of scorching, blinding rays was flung out by the "sun." The sound of shattering mirrors rang out ceaselessly in midair, yet none ever managed to strike her true body.
The surrounding waters were churned into restlessness. This place was not far from Bayam. High above the ocean surface, that exaggerated dark red spider web and the blazing white "sun" were clearly reflected in the eyes of everyone within Bayam city.
From time to time, a scorching, blinding ray would fall toward Bayam, but before it could get close, it was scattered by exaggerated lightning striking down from the sky.
Dark clouds were gathering in the sky, carrying fury that had nearly condensed into substance.
"I found you!"
a faint, barely audible murmur sounded in midair.
Yalina Soren, who had been constantly shifting her position through mirror illusions, paused slightly. She frowned lightly at the blazing white at the very center of the dark red spider web, a surge of intense unease welling up in her heart.
The next moment, that blazing white "sun" suddenly split apart, erupting with unimaginable radiance. Blazing white submerged everything.
Whoosh! An invisible wind rapidly gathered and took shape, confining the fierce heat within a certain range.
The blazing white sun decomposed into a field of minute pure white points of light. Part of them converged into a human form, while the rest, constrained by the surrounding storm, constantly swirled, colliding with each other and splitting into even finer particles.
A moment later, the surrounding temperature had reached an unimaginable level. The howling, swirling hurricane high above turned entirely blazing white, radiating scorching pale golden light, dyeing the entire sky gold-red, like the surface of the sun.
From the Wave Church of Bayam, a howling hurricane surged forth, carrying pale blue ripples that rapidly enveloped every corner of Bayam city.
The figure of "Sea King" Yan Cotman suddenly appeared in midair. His priest's robe, patterned with waves and storms, constantly fluttered in the gale.
He gazed upward with grave eyes at the sky dyed gold-red, toward that blazing white wrapped within the storm.
His spiritual intuition was warning him: an extremely terrifying attack was brewing within that storm. Even for him, already at Sequence Three, it was exceedingly dangerous—he could even perish.
"He's gotten stronger... This level and range of light and heat is absolutely not something Sequence Four could achieve."
"Even a demigod of the Sun pathway might not be capable of such means... Knowledge from the Sun?"
As he pondered, a soft voice of indescribable charm echoed around him: "Compared to those from the Eternal Blazing Sun Church, I think he's more like a true believer of the Sun."
Water vapor rapidly condensed into ice crystals around him, reflecting a stunningly beautiful figure.
The moment this figure appeared, a bolt of lightning instantly struck down, shattering the ice crystals.
"Witch... get back to the ocean surface!"
Yan Cotman's voice gradually grew louder, ultimately forming layered sonic booms that forced back Yalina Soren, who had been trying to approach Bayam and compel the Storm Church to help her block the attacks.
Then, Yan Cotman raised his right hand slightly toward the ocean surface. Bright radiance burst from his deep blue eyes, and his tangled hair whipped in the wind, intertwined with silver white.
The clouds in the sky gradually gathered and pressed lower. The violent winds around collided with the air, producing explosive sounds.
A terrifying, visible hurricane spiraled into existence. Air currents spun in circle after circle, sweeping up the cloud layers and rolling the waves, transforming into a grand barrier of wind and water that protected all of Bayam.
After doing all this, Yan Cotman turned his gaze to the distant sky above the ocean, where the blazing white was still constantly gathering and taking shape.
He opened his right palm forward, attempting to seize control of that fierce storm. I can't let him continue any longer—defense is not what I excel at.
