Chapter 399

"But over these past two days, I did actually encounter a competitor from Suzhou-Hangzhou University."

Wei He continued, "But I've already eliminated him."

Two days have passed since the survival contest began.

Although there are a hundred competitors in total, the area of this Dungeon Secret Realm is simply too vast.

Over these two days, Wei He has only encountered one other competitor.

It just happened to be Liu Yang, whom he had faced in the individual contest earlier; according to their agreement, he was to eliminate as many Suzhou-Hangzhou University competitors as possible.

So he didn't hesitate—he immediately struck and eliminated Liu Yang.

And he gained a considerable amount of points as a result.

"Points…"

Thinking of this, Wei He couldn't help but feel a pang of awe:

"Zhou Yi is insane—just two short days in, he's already amassed nearly twenty thousand points!"

In the Verdant Forest, numerous beasts dwell.

These beasts vary in level, some as low as just around level ten or so.

Others are so powerful that even he must tread carefully, or risk perishing.

Therefore, when hunting beasts in the Verdant Forest to gain points, one must be extremely cautious.

But some practitioners do not fall into this category.

For example, the Mechanic.

One person is an entire army!

By deploying reconnaissance robots, they can easily avoid powerful beasts and hunt lower-level ones.

And what's most terrifying is they can split into multiple teams and hunt simultaneously.

The Summoner is the same.

Thus, the survival contest is generally the stage for Mechanics and Summoners—they accumulate the most points!

Even if other strong competitors kill them and claim half their points, that only happens toward the later stages of the survival contest.

But now, the contest has only just begun—two days in—and it's still the domain of Mechanics and Summoners.

Yet on the leaderboard, Zhou Yi, a Holy Knight, ranks first in points!

His points are nearly double those of the second-place Mechanic, Wang Xuan!

"Indeed."

The elf girl Xia Lan also felt deeply impressed.

Zhou Yi's strength is indeed formidable, but that's only in single combat.

For large-scale warfare, Mechanics and Summoners hold the advantage.

Yet now, Zhou Yi is firmly outpacing Wang Xuan…

On the other side, Zhou Yi was unaware of the other competitors' thoughts.

At this moment, he was riding atop the broad back of a Windrunner Wolf, racing through the jungle.

"Light's Punishment! Lightning, come!!"

Sizzzz~

Sizzzz~

….. 017.

Tiny bolts of lightning flickered around Zhou Yi's body, and above his head, a golden thundercloud followed!

Within this golden thundercloud, terrifying lightning flashed, occasionally striking down a golden bolt into the forest.

Each strike was accompanied by a shrill, agonized beast roar…

When Zhou Yi first entered the Storm Mountains, he was only level 16.

His Light's Punishment skill had only been upgraded to LV5, yet its coverage spanned a diameter of two kilometers.

Now, Zhou Yi is level 23, and his Light's Punishment skill has been upgraded to LV14!

Now, when he activates Light's Punishment, he can summon lightning anywhere within a radius of twenty thousand meters.

Moreover, with the golden thundercloud active, Zhou Yi can sense the life signatures of all beings within a twenty-thousand-meter radius.

Through these life signatures, he can easily determine a beast's level.

Thus, while riding the Windrunner Wolf, Zhou Yi keeps Light's Punishment constantly active.

Lightning continuously strikes down, harvesting high-level beasts at all times!

And with the support of his Frost Titan Divine Bloodline, his mana regenerates at an extraordinary speed.

The mana consumed by each lightning strike is instantly restored.

Hence, Zhou Yi's points surpass even those of the Mechanic Wang Xuan…

The National University Freshman Exchange Competition has three events: the Individual Contest, the Team Contest, and the Survival Contest.

For spectators, each event offers distinct attractions.

Some enjoy watching competitors display terrifying individual power in the Individual Contest; others relish the seamless coordination in the Team Contest.

How different practitioners seamlessly chain their skills is also a major highlight.

Others prefer watching competitors battle in the unfamiliar Secret Realm of the Survival Contest.

Of course, some are uninterested in the Survival Contest—but still watch in the arena for their favorite competitors.

Regardless, even though the current audience in the arena is slightly smaller than for the first two events, there are still over a hundred thousand spectators!

These spectators watch the magical projection in midair, discussing as they view.

"No wonder he is the brightest contestant of this year's exchange tournament; Zhou Yi's points are actually more than double those of the Mechanic, Wang Xuan!"

"It's terrifying. He doesn't even need to approach the demon beasts; he can lock on and kill them directly with the golden thundercloud."

"As for this Paladin's 【Light's Punishment】, Zhou Yi must have invested points to an extremely high level; the spell range is at least ten thousand meters!"

"......"

Above the gymnasium, dozens of image screens floated.

Among them, the audience watching the central screen of Zhou Yi was the largest.

Of course...

Beauties like Jiang Churan and Xia Lan were also the focus of attention for many spectators.

Watching their figures, whether enchanting or slender, was an absolute delight.

Of course, such people could only be considered a minority; many others came for the intense battle scenes.

However, after two days of competition, many spectators felt that this Survival Tournament did not seem very intense.

"Two days have passed, yet only seven contestants have been eliminated."

"Yes, it feels like this year's Survival Tournament is not as intense as previous ones."

"It might also be because the contestants of this year have higher levels; everyone is wary of each other, so no one has made a move."

"....."

The Survival Tournament will last a total of six days.

Based on the experience of previous years, the first two days would probably eliminate around thirty contestants.

However......

Up to now, only nine contestants have been eliminated.

And among them, seven were chased by demon beasts and chose to activate their wristbands, while only two were eliminated by other contestants......

Compared with previous years, this year's Survival Tournament is indeed much gentler.

"The Survival Tournament only gets more exciting as it goes on; this is just the beginning of two days, it's still very early!"

Although the competition of these two days was not particularly exciting, everyone clearly understood that the Survival Tournament only gets more exciting as it goes on.

On the final day, when the positions of all contestants are revealed, that will be the most exciting moment.

The battles of the first two days were not considered intense; the audience grumbled for a while but didn't pay much attention.

After all, the Survival Tournament does not necessarily require watching slaughter and combat.

Watching contestants frantically flee under the hands of powerful demon beasts is also a kind of fun...
