Chapter 744: One Either Learned To Be Cold-Hearted Or Suffered The Lesson Of Death
Outside the Demon Emperor’s Palace, more than a dozen Demon Kings gathered at once.
They called out to Demon Emperor Lilian, urging her to intervene and stop Lin Moyu.
The palace was engulfed in raging Abyss Fire—the fiercest flames of the Abyss, dark green with streaks of black.
It was infused with Lilian’s law, law carrying the power of destruction, and saturated with her will.
Even high-tier Demon Kings could not get close.
The Demon Kings could only shout from outside the palace.
After a long silence, the Abyssal Fire flickered, and a cold voice drifted out.
“I am aware. I will take action.”
Smiles spread across the Demon Kings’ faces. To them, once the Demon Emperor made a move, Lin Moyu would be easily dealt with.
The Demon Emperor had once fought the Dragon Emperor, and she had proven herself stronger.
They had confidence in the Demon Emperor.
Inside the palace, the Succubus Queen asked cautiously, “Your Majesty… will you truly take action?”
By now, she understood the situation. Lin Moyu was on a rampage, and no one could stop him.
Worse still, he seemed even stronger than when he rampaged in the Dagonkind World.
It made no sense. How could someone grow so powerful so quickly?
There should have been limits—but Lin Moyu seemed to have none.
Every time he made an appearance, he was far stronger than before.
Fighting beyond his level came as naturally as breathing to him.
When he was below level 60, he had already defied all odds and slain the Fire Demon King.
Since then, his rise had been absurd—his level skyrocketing, his combat power increasing even faster.
Now, at merely level 80-plus, he could kill high-tier Dragon Kings with ease and even contend with the Dragon Emperor and the Demon Emperor.
The Succubus Queen had never seen a human class user like him before.
He was simply a monster.
The Succubus Queen felt fortunate that she had withdrawn early instead of fighting Lin Moyu to the bitter end. Otherwise, she might already be dead.
Lilian let out a soft laugh, “Do you think Lin Moyu is a freak? His combat power is indeed ridiculously high.”
At that moment, her voice was pleasant and gentle, and her human form was nearly flawless—her beauty so overwhelming that even the Succubus Queen felt inferior.
The Succubus Queen replied, “Among all humans I’ve seen, he is the most talented.”
Lilian smiled, “In the greater world, people like him are called freaks.”
“There are many such freaks there. But even among them, someone like him would be rare.”
At the mention of the greater world, anticipation flickered in the Succubus Queen’s eyes.
She had only recently learned of it from Lilian. Once, she believed the Abyss, the Human World, and the Dragonkind World were all that existed.
Now she knew they were merely a small island in a boundless ocean.
She longed to see the greater world for herself.
Lilian said, “Come. It’s time to offer some lives.”
“Lin Moyu is nearing your territory. Show your sincerity.”
The Succubus Queen understood immediately. Offering lives meant sacrifice.
She replied without hesitation, “As you command, Your Majesty.”
With a wave of Lilian’s hand, she and the Succubus Queen vanished from the palace.
A moment later, the Succubus Queen reappeared in her king city.
Lilian had been rooted in the Abyss for many years. She hadn’t spent that time idly within her palace.
Quietly, she had laid plans across the entire Abyss World, her hidden arrangements woven everywhere.
Now, wherever she wished to go, or send someone, she needed only a thought to open a teleportation channel and arrive instantly.
She was far more intelligent than the Dragon Emperor, always preparing escape routes.
If her plans failed, she still held a final backup plan.
Even so, she wasn’t certain it would work, and would only use it as a last resort.
Upon returning, the Succubus Queen immediately summoned a few of her most trusted subordinates, including the Succubus called Mina.
“All of you, leave at once. Find somewhere remote and hide.”
“Do not emerge until you receive my command.”
Her expression was grave, her tone heavy. Though she had sworn loyalty to Lilian, she still sought to preserve the lives of those she trusted.
“Understood, Your Majesty.”
None of them questioned her orders. They assumed she was warning them of Lin Moyu.
In Demon society, the Succubus Queen was an unquestionable authority in these Succubi’s eyes. Without hesitation, they teleported away and disappeared.
Standing above the king city, gazing down at the many Succubi below, the Succubus Queen let out a quiet sigh.
Lilian’s command had been simple: deliver lives.
The Succubi in this city were those lives. How they were delivered was up to her.
She knew sending away a few trusted subordinates wouldn’t escape Lilian’s notice.
But since she had no intention of betrayal, Lilian would likely overlook it.
As Lin Moyu’s arrival approached, the Succubus Queen went outside the city and activated its barriers.
As the ruler, she held absolute control over the king city.
The barriers activated, enveloping the entire king city—not only defensive barriers, but other ones as well.
All teleportation formations shut down. Communication with the outside world was severed.
From that moment on, the city became an isolated island.
This was her delivering lives…
Looking once more at the Succubi and Demons in the city, the Succubus Queen sighed again.
The world was cruel, perhaps even more so in the greater world beyond.
One either learned to be cold-hearted or suffered the lesson of death.
To this end, the Succubus Queen forced herself to become cruel—though not completely, having spared a few.
After finishing everything, she withdrew into hiding.
Through the Headless Knights, Lin Moyu had located several king cities.
Choosing the most efficient route, he began his campaign of slaughter.
Just as he had expected, the Demons fled at the first sign of danger.
In the two cities he passed, few remained.
Instead, the Headless Knights encountered many Demons along the way, each one fleeing at the sight of the Headless Knights as if from ghosts.
Compared to the Dragonkind, the Demons were far smarter.
Their dispersal made it nearly impossible for Lin Moyu to carry out a city-wide massacre.
As a result, his EXP gain slowed.
Meanwhile, in the Human World, Antares’s livestream continued.
Lin Moyu’s overwhelming advance through the Demon king cities had left a deep impression on all who watched.
The Undead Eye, spreading across the sky like a curtain and leaving no survivors behind, filled viewers with awe.
It was as if Lin Moyu were declaring to the world that his power extended beyond his undead army; his offensive skills were even more fearsome than forbidden spells.
“The Demons are too cunning. They’ve all run away.”
“What else could they do? Stay and die?”
“True. Even a Demon King would just be throwing their life away.”
“Compared to this, the Dragonkind really do look foolish.”
Discussion spread throughout the Human World. The Demons’ strategy was cowardly but undeniably effective.
Even Lin Moyu felt a trace of frustration. The fragment world was not small. Once the Demons scattered, hunting them down individually would be painfully inefficient.
“Having a headache?”
A soft, melodic voice sounded as Lilian stepped gracefully out of the void.
Lin Moyu wasn’t surprised by her arrival, “Not really. Merely a bit of a hassle.”
