Chapter 10: Yu Sheng Flower
Yu Sheng Hua
Chaosheng put on the precious jewelry, spun around twice in satisfaction, then stopped and said to Baini and Yinxu, "Our wedding day is set for three days from now; the Jingju Tribe will handle the arrangements for us by then."
After she finished speaking, her gaze fell, carrying a hint of apology, "I really don't understand these things. If I do anything wrong, you must tell me."
Chaosheng had never even dated a boyfriend before; who would have thought that not long after arriving in this world, she would be getting married. She was completely unprepared to become a Mate, and she didn't want to treat them unfairly.
"But I think Sheng is already doing well enough." Baini looked at her with a cheeky grin; he felt from the bottom of his heart that Sheng was the best Mate in the whole world.
Beautiful, gentle, and she even made him delicious fish meat; she was nothing like those females after marriage who fawned over the powerful and trampled on the weak, only knowing how to enslave their Beast Husbands.
Many females, in order to marry a Beast Husband with a high-level ability, would act humble and sweet-talk before the union, but once they obtained the Beast Husband's ability after the union, they would completely change their faces. However, a Male Beastman only had one chance to share his ability with his Mate; even if he discovered the female's true colors after the union, there was no turning back.
Yinxu, however, was stunned, a flash of confusion crossing his dark brown eyes as he pointed to himself, "Us?"
"Yes." Chaosheng smiled lightly, her tone gentle, "Leader Baipei said that since you don't have a tribe to handle things for you, it's better to hold it for the three of us together."
Baini, however, was not having it, "Sheng, you should call her Mother now."
"I'll call her that later." Chaosheng's eyes darted away; she wasn't used to suddenly having an elder.
The reclusive Witch was going to have a home in this world.
Yinxu was silent for a moment, his gaze turning to Baini, and he sincerely thanked the Male Beastman who had never given him a good look, "Thank you."
There was no need to say what he was thanking him for; Baini proudly lifted his chin, "It's only right."
Baini felt that since Yinxu had no tribe and not even a mother or father, if he were left to handle these things himself, it would surely be shabby, and he wouldn't let his Sheng suffer that grievance.
It was the same dark night as always, the only difference being that tonight Chaosheng was sleeping while hugging the pearls she liked.
Actually, they were a bit uncomfortable to lie on, but she couldn't help it because she liked them.
In her past life, she was a poor Witch, living a life of hardship, and she had never seen any truly good treasures.
Suddenly having the chance to touch so many good treasures was like a poor person suddenly striking it rich; she wanted nothing more than to sleep while clutching her money.
On the ice shore above the cave lay a large bear; its fur was white and translucent, blending in with the white ice shore. Directly vertical from where he lay was Chaosheng's Shell Bed.
Further down the cave, lying on its side, was a large orca. It looked motionless, but while its downward-facing right eye was closed, the upward-facing eye was wide open.
Orcas are unihemispheric sleepers; even though Baini no longer worried about drowning after taking human form, the inherent habits of an orca made him accustomed to the unihemispheric sleep method.
Just as the Beastmen were all sleeping soundly, a nauseating stench drifted into the Beastmen's nasal cavities along with the seawater. Baini in the water and Yinxu on the shore twitched their noses in discomfort, but they didn't take any action and continued to sleep.
Chaosheng, however, suddenly sat up, the pearls on her body falling with a "swish-swish" sound. Her deep purple eyes constricted; this smell...
She sniffed carefully, the scent so nauseating it made one want to vomit, yet Chaosheng's pupils trembled with excitement. This was Yu Sheng!?
The scent of Yu Sheng blooming!
She swam out of the cave, following the scent as she swam outward. Baini, with his open eye, caught sight of Chaosheng's movement and was immediately startled, flicking his tail, "Sheng! Where are you going?"
"I'm going out for a moment. Wait for me; I'll be back very soon."
Baini, who had been planning to follow Chaosheng, paused his movements and lay back down, feeling aggrieved, "Oh."
Her long purple hair floated and danced like silk, the scales on her fish tail shimmering like gems. She swam forward, stretching her arms freely, her eyes as bright as star stones.
To think it was such a coincidence that she had run into a Yu Sheng blooming?!
Originally, she had only intended to look for water-su grass to help purify her Mental Sea, but she never expected to discover a Yu Sheng. One had to know that the purification efficacy of a Yu Sheng was ten times that of water-su grass!
The smell grew stronger. Chaosheng blinked in discomfort as a small white flower appeared amidst the green seaweed clusters. There were almost no creatures around; they had all been driven away by the stench.
After Chaosheng confirmed that the little flower before her was indeed a Yu Sheng, bright surprise flashed in her purple eyes. She held her breath, and a wisp of pale purple Witch Power slipped from her fingertips and drifted toward the Yu Sheng flower. In the blink of an eye, the Witch Power obediently brought the Yu Sheng flower back into Chaosheng's hand.
She thought of her own little place and, after a moment's thought, covered the little flower with another layer of faint Witch Power, which could both preserve the flower's energy and mask the stench.
Chaosheng happily swam through the sea holding the Yu Sheng flower. From time to time, fish and shrimp swam by, and she mischievously blew a string of bubbles to scare away the small fish nearby.
Danger was also close at hand. A black vortex suddenly appeared behind the petite mermaid, and a gorgeous snake body poked its head out, quickly biting Chaosheng on her left shoulder.
A sharp pain struck. Chaosheng had just realized something was wrong, but the snake venom entered her body, and she slowly lost consciousness.
Her light body fell uncontrollably. A lean, powerful arm wrapped around her, the black vortex vanished, and the beautiful little mermaid disappeared from the spot.
Colorful and beautiful corals were neatly arranged in front of a cave. Inside the gloomy, dark cave, Zhuche gently placed the little mermaid in his hand onto the pearl bed he had prepared with great care.
A Fifth-tier Beastman who had just come of age in the Jingju Tribe had become the Beast Husband of that sinful female mermaid and had even given her a huge bag of pearls.
The notorious female mermaid was very vain, yet she had taken a fancy to expensive Black Pearl.
These rumors spread throughout the Polar Sea, and even a Beastman like Zhuche, who never left his home, knew about the little mermaid's love for pearls.
That was why he had specially prepared this pearl bed for her. He had originally wanted to find an opportunity to give it to her, but he hadn't expected the opportunity to come so quickly.
With his deep blue eyes fixed motionlessly on the unconscious little mermaid, Zhuche squinted in enjoyment; every drop of seawater seemed to be stained with her fragrance.
This Heat Period was exceptionally long and exceptionally difficult to endure.
So, he had no choice but to steal the little mermaid back to quench his thirst.
His blue-black pupils trembled with excitement. Zhuche leaned down and pressed against the side of the little mermaid's neck, greedily sniffing the fragrance that drove him mad.
A forked snake tongue emerged from his pale red lips, teasingly wandering over her delicate, fragrant, and smooth neck.
The sweet and soft scent seemed to seep into his lungs along with his snake breath, and his soul in the depths trembled with pleasure. His unfocused eyes were filled with madness and possessiveness.
The snake tongue wandered to one side of her neck, the place he had bitten last time. The tooth marks had completely disappeared. A glint of light flashed in his deep blue snake eyes; he lovingly licked the spot with his scarlet snake tongue, and his sharp fangs aimed at the spot and pierced down once more.
The stimulation of their scents mingling made him unable to help but shift into his snake tail, and his gorgeous blue snake tail impatiently coiled around the little mermaid's beautiful tail.
Zhuche sighed in satisfaction and discontent; what a pity, he couldn't mate yet...
After a long, long time, Zhuche licked the corner of his mouth with a hint of satisfaction and placed the little flower that had fallen to the ground back into the little mermaid's hand.
A black vortex appeared, and Zhuche held the little mermaid and swam into it unhurriedly.
The vortex here disappeared, and another vortex appeared elsewhere.
His pale, slender fingertips lingered on the little mermaid's beautiful face. A strange sound appeared, and a hint of gloom flashed in Zhuche's eyes.
"Who?"
Carefully placing the little mermaid on a rock, Zhuche quickly disappeared with the vortex.
