Cleansing the Mental Sea for Yinxu

Seeing the little Mermaid with her eyes tightly shut on the rock, Baini swam over with a heart full of distress, transformed into his human form to pick her up, and called out worriedly, "Sheng!"

The little Mermaid remained unconscious, and Baini caught a whiff of that disgusting scent. Damn it! It was that damned sea snake again!

Baini carried Chaosheng back to the cave. The sounds from beneath the sea awakened Yinxu on the shore. The large white bear had vanished, replaced by a Beastman of extreme handsomeness. He immediately leapt out of the icy water and went into the stone cave beneath the sea.

"What happened?"

Yinxu looked nervously toward the Shell Bed. Baini, who was guarding the side, had an extremely ugly expression. He looked at Yinxu with a dark face and said, "Sheng said she wanted to go out for a while, but she was suddenly unconscious when she returned."

His dark brown eyes stalled in nervousness. He looked worriedly at the little Mermaid's tail, which hung down lifelessly. "Then... will she be alright?"

Baini shook his head. A flash of hatred crossed his black eyes as he thought of the scene from last time with humiliation, and he replied coldly, "She will be fine."

I fear this time is the same situation as the last. Don't let me catch that sea snake, otherwise...

Yinxu did not ask further. If Baini said she was fine, then she should be fine. Yet, he still stood guard at the cave entrance, uneasy. Time ticked away bit by bit; he would only be at ease when he saw the moment she woke up.

A ray of sunlight pierced into the sea. Yinxu blinked uncomfortably, his eyes subconsciously turning to Chaosheng on the Shell Bed.

The tip of her drooping purple tail twitched twice. Yinxu's eyes lit up, and he hurried over, asking with concern in his tone, "Awake? How do you feel? Is there anywhere you feel uncomfortable?"

He was usually dull and reticent, rarely showing his emotions so openly; the concern in his eyes was almost overflowing. The world in the sea was fraught with crises and dangers; even he might not be able to retreat unscathed when encountering danger, let alone Chaosheng, a fragile female.

"Sheng!" Baini had been guarding beside the Shell Bed, his eyes not blinking once, so naturally, he did not miss Chaosheng waking up.

"Mm..." Chaosheng rubbed her dizzy head hard, her eyes bleary and unfocused. Even though she had slept, her body felt a heavy, weary sensation as if she had worked for a day, and certain patches of her skin still tingled faintly.

This feeling... so familiar.

"Did I pass out again? Then how did I get back?"

Chaosheng struggled to recall, her crystal-like eyes filled with a hint of pain. Passing out suddenly while outside provided no guarantee for her safety. Over these past few days, she had deeply felt the dangers of the ocean. She absolutely could not let herself pass out in the sea at any time happen again, but no matter how she tried to recall, she could not remember how she had fainted!

The little Mermaid's beautiful face was tightly furrowed, written all over with pain, which made Baini and Yinxu's hearts ache terribly.

"You..." Baini had wanted to say it directly, but he paused. He didn't want to give that snake any screen time! If that snake wanted to be a parasite in the shadows, then let him be.

His clever mind turned, and Baini changed his story, spouting nonsense without changing his expression, "You seemed to have been bitten by some dirty things. I couldn't wait for you, so I went out to find you."

"Then I saw you fainted there, so I brought you back."

After speaking, Baini took Chaosheng's small hand. Seeing Chaosheng's eyes were wet, he instructed earnestly, "Sheng, you are not allowed to go out by yourself next time. I... we are all very worried about you."

The milky voice sounded like a little pet acting spoiled toward its owner. Chaosheng could never resist Baini talking to her like this, so she nodded blankly and replied, "Okay, okay."

Suddenly, a flash of inspiration struck her mind, and Chaosheng sat up in surprise, "The flower! My flower!"

"What flower?" Baini looked at Chaosheng in confusion, his round black eyes filled with bewilderment.

"Is it this one?" A small white flower was handed to Chaosheng. Chaosheng let out a long sigh of relief. She looked at Yinxu with eyes full of gratitude, her tone pleasantly surprised, "How is it with you?"

"I found it on the rock," Yinxu said gently. When he was guarding the cave entrance, he had inadvertently caught a glimpse of this little flower. He had intended to give it to her after Chaosheng woke up to please her, not expecting it to be hers to begin with.

Chaosheng took the Yu Sheng Flower in confusion. Found on the rock? How could it be on the rock? She remembered losing consciousness just as the Yu Sheng Flower bloomed.

Forget it, she really couldn't figure it out, so Chaosheng stopped dwelling on it.

She happily held the Yu Sheng Flower, raised her eyes to look at Yinxu, and said in a sweet voice, "Today, I will help you cleanse your Mental Sea."

"Okay."

"Shall we go to the shore then?" Chaosheng suggested. She needed to use fire, which was impossible to implement underwater.

"Okay." Yinxu agreed to everything; he only knew that listening to Chaosheng was enough.

"Sheng," Baini called out clingily, successfully shifting Chaosheng's gaze to himself. He looked at Yinxu triumphantly, appearing obedient on the surface, "Then I will go find some food."

"Mm-hmm, Baini, you are so good," Chaosheng praised, as if her little mouth had been smeared with honey.

Baini gave a haughty hum. Catching a glimpse of Yinxu's dim expression out of the corner of his eye, the smile at the corner of his mouth became even more triumphant.

"Yinxu, let's go ashore," Chaosheng said after Baini left.

"Mm."

The bright sun held not a shred of warmth. On the cold shore sat an extremely beautiful Mermaid, and the Beastman standing beside her was looking at her with doting eyes.

Chaosheng held the Yu Sheng Flower in one hand and raised a fire with the other. She looked up at the tall Yinxu, "Sit down, you are too tall."

"Mm, okay." Yinxu sat down obediently. The distance was so close that a slight movement would have their skin pressed together, which was very ambiguous.

Chaosheng stared intently at the movements of her hands. As the Yu Sheng Flower was burned by the flames, it turned into ash bit by bit, and some pungent, foul odors seeped out secretly.

Yinxu smelled it and frowned tightly. Then, looking at Chaosheng, who was completely unaffected and very focused, for no reason, the discomfort in his heart seemed to ease.

Chaosheng divided the ashes into two piles. She used Witch Power to wrap one pile into a sphere, while holding the other pile in her hand, "Close your eyes."

Yinxu closed his eyes obediently. Chaosheng blew gently on the pile of ashes, and the flower ash seemed to have eyes as it drilled into Yinxu's head.

The black ash collided with the black filth, canceling each other out bit by bit, turning into a fresh, elegant white mist. At this moment, a thread of purple Witch Power entered, entwining with the white mist and leading it back to Chaosheng's body.

"Mm~" Chaosheng frowned in satisfaction; her Witch Power had become a little fuller again.

The energy in the air turned into visible particles, drilling into her body and merging with her Witch Power. The purple in her tightly closed eyes dissipated and then gathered again, finally turning into a deeper, ghostly purple.

"Sheng... Sheng?" Yinxu looked at her worriedly, the concern in his eyes turning into substance. Having experienced what just happened, he felt for no reason that his relationship with her had taken a step closer; the barrier between them had been shattered, and something was different.

The Black Filth that had plagued and tormented him vanished. The chaos in his dark brown eyes dissipated, and gentle, watery light rippled within. The previous gloom and depression were gone; he was now every bit a gentle and elegant nobleman. Yinxu lowered his eyes, looking at Chaosheng affectionately. The joy in his heart spread bit by bit, and he called out to her excitedly, "Sheng, Sheng..."

Chaosheng opened her thick, curled eyelashes, her sweet voice carrying a hint of hoarseness, "Mm? What is it?"

Yinxu only smiled faintly, his dark brown eyes shining with dew-like light, "Sheng, I am better."

"Sheng, thank you."

The magnetic voice that made one's limbs go soft left Chaosheng dazed. A hint of redness crept up her earlobes, and the clarity in her eyes was gone, "It's nothing, it's what I should do."

Chaosheng lowered her head uncomfortably, not daring to look at Yinxu's burning, scorching gaze at all.

Yinxu chuckled softly, his gaze affectionate and lingering. Sheng seems to be shy.
