Chapter 105: Go Eat Grilled Fish

~7 min read 1,231 words

Go eat grilled fish.

He cast a faint glance at the two of them, a cold glint flashing in his red eyes: two pieces of trash.

However, he still wore a gentle and warm smile on his face, looking at Chaosheng with burning eyes, "Is he staying here all the time now?"

"Hm?" Chaosheng was stunned for a moment, then realized he was talking about Changye, and she nodded, "Yeah, what about it?"

The muscles at the corners of Guxian's mouth stiffened, his eye color darkened imperceptibly, and his pale lips parted slightly, "I see."

He adjusted his expression, a refined and elegant smile curling onto his handsome face, "I see."

"Female Chaosheng, I came to find you today, but I didn't expect you to be gone."

"I waited here for a long time."

"I wonder if you could invite me up to sit for a while?"

Although the Ice Cave was undefended, Guxian couldn't just walk straight in; it would be too damaging to his favorability.

"Okay," Chaosheng answered without hesitation, looking at Guxian with concern, "If I'm not here next time, don't wait."

The smile at the corners of Guxian's mouth deepened, his red eyes profound, "Okay."

"Tsk!" Baini let out a soft sneer; a Beastman who only knew how to put on an act.

Seeing Guxian like this, Baini suddenly had some malicious thoughts, and he looked at Chaosheng with hidden anticipation, "Sheng, I want to eat grilled fish."

"Shall we eat grilled fish today?"

Hearing this, Yinxu gave him a surprised look, but in the blink of an eye, the emotion in his eyes vanished, and in the end, he still didn't speak.

Grilled fish? Changye unlocked a new term and immediately leaned excitedly toward Chaosheng, standing intimately by her side, "What kind of fish is grilled fish?"

"Is it delicious?"

Guxian looked at Baini with dark eyes and received a provocative raised eyebrow from the other party; Guxian blinked lightly, masking the various thoughts surging up, "Female Chaosheng, I haven't heard of this either?"

"Can you take me along to taste it?"

Chaosheng pursed her lips, hesitated for only a moment, and then agreed, "Okay."

Guxian had seen her use fire, and although Changye hadn't, he was simple-minded and posed even less of a threat to her.

So, she had nothing left to hide from them.

"Then let's go ashore now."

"Ashore?" Changye blinked blankly and asked in confusion, "Why do we have to go ashore?"

"Because..."

"Because grilled fish has to be eaten on shore, you fool!"

Before Chaosheng could answer, Baini was the first to mock him.

Baini felt extremely irritable seeing them both huddled close to the little Mermaid, and he didn't hold back his tongue.

Having been scolded, Changye glared at him angrily, but recalling the massive gap in strength and the memories of failing in his previous confrontations with Baini, he very sensibly said nothing more, only letting out a soft huff.

"I'll take the fish."

Yinxu offered proactively; he took down the grass net, then seized the right moment to tighten it, and not a single fish inside escaped.

He dragged the grass net that was larger than himself, the muscles on his arms bulging, his delicate and cold face indifferent, as if this large bag of fish was effortless for him.

"Let's go."

Upon reaching the shore, Yinxu laid out the fish from the grass net and then quietly began to process them as he usually did.

Baini saw his actions, his round black eyes narrowing with ill intent; he looked at the two Beastmen huddled by the little Mermaid and shouted, "You two, hurry up and help!"

"Yinxu can't process this many fish by himself!"

Hearing this, Changye gave a confused "Oh," went over to Yinxu, and asked him how to process the fish.

Baini curled his lips in triumph and walked pleasantly to the little Mermaid's side, but when his gaze touched that eyesore of a red color, his expression turned unkind, "Hey! Why aren't you going over?"

"Do you still want to eat grilled fish or not?"

"If you want to eat, why don't you do it yourself?"

Hearing this, Guxian was not angry in the slightest; he lowered his head slightly, his silk-like red hair falling to his chest, his voice faint, "Sorry, I don't know how to process fish."

"Besides..." Guxian paused, a trace of sadness appearing on his beautiful face, and he looked at Chaosheng sorrowfully, "These fish were all caught by me; do I have to help to be allowed to eat them?"

"No, no!" Chaosheng quickly denied it, gave Baini a warning look from the corner of her eye, and then said nicely to Guxian, "Baini didn't mean it like that."

"You catching these fish has already made the greatest contribution to our meal today."

"Oh, that's good then." Guxian nodded dejectedly, his eyes devoid of emotion falling onto Baini, "Then I don't know if Baini minds."

Baini ground his sharp tiger teeth in hatred, thinking angrily that he had forgotten the fish were caught by him, and yet he was pushing his luck to provoke him?

That's right, in Baini's eyes, Guxian's behavior was a provocation.

But the little Mermaid was still looking at him expectantly for an answer, so he had to suppress the fire in his heart and say word by word: "I-don't-mind."

After Baini finished speaking, he sat down beside Chaosheng, his eyes flashing with fire, looking at Guxian with a hidden warning.

These octopuses were the best at playing mind games.

Guxian looked away indifferently; he couldn't be bothered to waste time on Baini, and his gaze turned fiery again when it touched Chaosheng, "Female Chaosheng, where did you go today?"

"Can you tell me?"

"Why should we tell you where we went?" Baini mocked, his dark gaze meeting Guxian's.

The blood-red eyes were calm and waveless, almost never showing any emotional fluctuation.

Baini was very hostile toward this Male Beastman of unknown origin.

There was no such Beastman in the Polar Sea.

Baini was very clear on that.

Otherwise, with his strength and appearance, he wouldn't be unknown in the Polar Sea.

Even Zhuche, who only knew how to hide in his space and almost never met other Beastmen, was still known by quite a few old Beastmen.

But Guxian was different; almost no Beastman knew of him.

This was too strange.

A Beastman so mysterious that he was unwilling to let other Beastmen know his background; he did not want Sheng to have contact with him.

Who knew what his true purpose was?

Furthermore, judging by the few times Baini had interacted with Guxian, this was definitely a deep and calculating Beastman, and it was very difficult to fathom his thoughts.

"Baini!" Chaosheng quietly took hold of Baini's hand and shook it, signaling him to behave.

Then, she gazed at the surging blue waves of the Ice Sea before her and began to answer Guxian's question.

"We caught three little Beastmen who came to ambush us today."

"Stealing things?" Guxian blinked in confusion, his lips curling in disbelief, "Are there still Beastmen who come to steal your things?"

He knew that Chaosheng currently had a great reputation in the Polar Sea, both positive and negative, but almost all Beastmen knew she was a Seventh-tier Beastman; which Beastman was bold enough to steal from her?
