Living Together

Hearing them say this, Chaosheng's eyelashes fluttered. She felt inexplicably uneasy inside. Not knowing what to say, she looked at them with a serious gaze and said firmly, "I will work hard to treat you well in the future."

"Haha..." Baini muffled a laugh behind his hand. Sheng is really so cute.

Yinxu smiled slightly, his eyes indulgent and doting. "No need, you have already done well enough."

"..." Listening to Baini's laughter, a flash of annoyance crossed Chaosheng's eyes. What was there to laugh about? It was rare for her to break through her mental defenses and take the initiative to reveal her feelings; they didn't dare to make a move, and on top of that, they laughed?

Chaosheng's gaze fell upon the fish on the shore that had stopped jumping. "Let's eat fish." She wouldn't hold it against them.

The bright yellow fire roasted the fish meat. Baini had already impatiently picked it up to eat, grinning from the heat as he ate. "Ugh! My mouth feels like it's burning!"

"... That's not burning, that's scalding." Fool, Chaosheng silently muttered to herself. This world is covered in sea everywhere, with only sporadic small islands. Most Beastmen have never come into contact with fire. They call the sensation of being sunburned 'burning'; they don't know what 'scalding' is.

"Oh!" Baini lazily tore off a piece of fish meat, his tone languid. "My mouth is scalded."

Chaosheng lowered her eyelids, her gaze darkening, speechless.

Yinxu looked at the two of them, a faint smile appearing in his eyes. Suddenly, his expression changed as he thought of something, and he asked, "Sheng, did you also clear Baini's Mental Sea like this before?"

"You even understand medicinal herbs?"

The topic that had been avoided was brought up. Chaosheng sighed silently in her heart and blurted out the excuse she had prepared long ago. "Not before; I used other methods."

"This is using Yusheng Flower to clear your Mental Sea. It just so happened that a Yusheng Flower bloomed, and I wanted to try its medicinal effect."

Chaosheng paused slightly, as if thinking of something, and hurriedly explained, "I'm not using you as an experiment. The efficacy of the Yusheng Flower is also very strong; it is enough to clear your Mental Sea." Not to mention that she had her Witch Power to escort and protect him, so there wouldn't be any problems.

"Don't worry." Yinxu didn't understand what an experiment was, but he believed Chaosheng wouldn't harm him, and he could feel that his Mental Sea was now completely calm. "I know."

"Mm." Chaosheng picked up a piece of roasted fish, tore off a strip, and her mind was filled with a thousand thoughts.

She went everywhere looking for medicinal herbs, wasn't it because she had made bold claims at the Treasure Hunt? If a Beastman really asked her for help, she definitely couldn't help them clear their Mental Sea like she helped Baini; it would expose her Witch Power and she would be treated as an anomaly.

Now, all Beastmen face the problem of their Mental Sea being polluted to some extent. If it were known that she could purify a Mental Sea out of thin air, she would undoubtedly become a target for everyone.

But if she used some medicinal herbs that the Beastmen didn't understand, she could brush it off by saying it was all the effect of the herbs, and she could keep it hidden.

In the past, she had followed the Green Spirit Witch to study medicinal herbs, and she hadn't expected it to come in handy now.

The sea breeze blew gently, lifting the strands of hair by her ears. Chaosheng's gaze drifted into the distance as she chewed the fish meat. "Let's wait a bit longer. When summer and autumn come, I will find herbs for you and help you find some that can enhance your abilities."

Baini and Yinxu were both stunned.

"Enhance abilities?"

"There are also medicinal herbs that can enhance abilities."

"Mm." Chaosheng affirmed seriously. Medicinal herbs in the sea were rare. In her memory, many medicinal herbs grew on land, but the land in this world was pitifully scarce. Furthermore, this was the Polar Sea, with only icebergs and frozen earth; it was impossible to grow the medicinal herbs she wanted.

"Of course it's possible. You'll know when the time comes."

Baini lifted his chin slightly, a hint of curiosity appearing between his brows. "Sheng, do Beastmen in other sea areas understand as much as you do? Or do only the Mermaids in your Rainbow Sea Area know?"

Baini had always stayed in the Polar Sea and was ill-informed, but he knew that the outside sea areas were very different, and he didn't know what the place where Sheng had stayed before was like.

Chaosheng: "..." If nothing goes wrong, I should be the only one who knows.

However, even though she thought this in her heart, Chaosheng still made up a story without changing her expression. "Very few Beastmen know about these things; I only happened to know a little by chance."

As she spoke, she blinked her eyes guiltily. Her gaze caught the silent Yinxu to the side, and a flash of cunning crossed the corner of her eyes as she shifted the topic nonchalantly. "Yinxu, what is your ability?"

"I don't even know yet!"

Yinxu, suddenly addressed by Chaosheng, had a flash of astonishment on his face, but then a gentle smile curled his lips. He lifted his right hand slightly, and a phantom of a green vine broke out from his palm. "I am Wood-type, Sixth Tier."

Chaosheng reached out her fingertips in surprise and curiosity. The vine bent its body and touched her glowing fingertips lightly, as if it had been gently nudged by a small animal. "Wow! It's so well-behaved!"

Even though she had seen all kinds of Witch Power before, in this world, she still felt amazed by this innate ability.

What's so great about that? Baini curled his lips in disdain, a flash of jealousy crossing his eyes. "I will also reach the Sixth Tier soon!"

Hearing this, Yinxu's expression remained unchanged, and he continued to manipulate the vine to play with Chaosheng. Chaosheng poked the vine and answered absentmindedly, "Good, I believe in you."

Baini, feeling ignored: "..." Just wait for him!

Nighttime.

Chaosheng looked at the two handsome Beastmen before her in astonishment, pinching her fingertips uncomfortably. "You... what are you doing?"

For the past two nights, Yinxu had slept on the Ice Shore above the water, while Baini had transformed into his original form and slept on the seabed in front of the cave.

Yinxu looked at Chaosheng's shy appearance, and the corners of his mouth curled up unconsciously. "Sheng, since we are going to be wed, living together is a matter of time, so it's better to get used to it now."

Baini glanced at him sideways—is 'Sheng' something you can call her? But on the surface, he still agreed. "That's right, Sheng. Male and female Beastmen who are wed must live in the same nest."

Huh? Live together?

Chaosheng was completely dumbfounded. Ever since she gained consciousness, she had always lived alone; she wasn't used to having others nearby when she slept.

But she couldn't think of a reasonable excuse to refuse. She looked at the two of them in a struggle and compromised. "Alright, you can sleep here."

"But!" Chaosheng said sternly, "My Shell Bed is too small; you have to find your own place to stay."

Chaosheng's cave was small, but that was for their beast forms; it was still more than enough to accommodate them in their human forms.

Yinxu nodded, not objecting much, and replied, "Alright."

Baini moved very quickly, clearing out a nest for himself right next to the Shell Bed, and said triumphantly, "Then I'll sleep here!"

Chaosheng looked silently at this nest, which was less than half a meter away from her Shell Bed, a flash of helplessness crossing her eyes. "Then you can sleep there."

She hoped she wouldn't suffer from insomnia tonight because of someone else's presence.

Baini, having received permission, became even more triumphant. Being this close, for all intents and purposes, he and Sheng were sleeping together.

Although Yinxu had made the suggestion, he was the one reaping the benefits. No wonder his mother said that they, the Orcas, were a smart race!

Yinxu watched their interaction, his eyes darkening slightly, and he sat dejectedly on a rock at the cave entrance.

Chaosheng's sudden disappearance and fainting last night had scared him to death. He felt he had to do something to put his mind at ease.

The distance between the Ice Shore and the water was too far; he couldn't hear anything if Chaosheng made a move, so this idea was born. He and Baini would both transform into human forms and guard Chaosheng in the cave.

He looked at Chaosheng, who was already sitting on the Shell Bed, a strand of purple hair mischievously caught between her breasts. His Adam's apple bobbed, and he stroked the medicine ball around his neck, his eyes dark and murky. No rush...
