Guxian visits

"My sister has always been soft-hearted, and besides..." Baini bit his lip, a trace of imperceptible disappointment showing on his calm, ripple-free face, "She was only forced by Mother's pressure to be with that lowly Krill Orc; in reality, she still can't let him go."

"I had already guessed she would sneak off to find Lianxun."

With obscure emotions in his black eyes and a faint weariness on his handsome face, Baini let out a silent breath, "Sheng, don't you worry about this matter."

Chaosheng shook her head in disapproval, a flash of hidden anger crossing her face, "But, Lianxun almost killed you."

"If it had been even a little bit later, you would have lost your life."

"What's more, he must still hold a grudge against us now that he's been driven out of the Tribe; there's no guarantee he won't pull some petty tricks to harm us later."

Yinxu nodded slightly, a hint of approval appearing in his dark brown eyes, "I think so too."

That Male Beastman dared to poison Baini this time, so he would dare to harm Sheng next time; he absolutely would not allow such a danger to exist.

He had originally thought that after driving him out of the Tribe, given his ability and temperament, he would have died in this sea before long, but now that he had Baiqi protecting him, he wouldn't die, so they would just have to do it themselves.

Yinxu looked at Baini's silent demeanor and said calmly, "If you can't bring yourself to do it, then I will."

"Mm." Baini rested his chin on one hand and responded softly, his unruly brows and eyes drooping, radiating a faint sense of lethargy.

Although he no longer intended to continue associating with his sister, he did not want to become enemies with her directly because of that lowly Krill Orc.

Let him escape for a while.

The sky was gradually growing dark, and Chaosheng was already impatient to sleep in her little nest.

Yet, an uninvited guest came to visit.

A thin, slender figure carried a large bag of fish and shrimp, his delicate shoulders bent slightly under the weight, his beautiful, painting-like brows and eyes shining like stars.

Guxian stood at the entrance very politely, "I've come to find Chaosheng."

The little Mermaid on the Shell Bed flipped up, her eyes flashing with confusion—coming to find her?!

"Who is it?"

Yinxu walked out first, water ripples swaying and shadows flickering; the pale, delicate beauty possessed a strange aesthetic against the backdrop of his red hair.

Yinxu looked at this strange Male Beastman with vigilant eyes, his tone slightly cold, "Who are you?"

Guxian's expression was innocent, and he answered in a soft tone, "I'm here for Chaosheng."

"You came specifically to thank her?"

Thanking Sheng? Yinxu looked at him with even more vigilance—did he need to come this late to thank her?

"It's you."

With purple hair dancing against the water and fair legs wrapped in an elegant purple gauze skirt, she walked out.

Chaosheng looked at Guxian before her, a trace of surprise flashing in her eyes, "Why are you here?"

Yinxu's brows twitched, and the corners of his mouth curled up with a hint of hidden meaning, "Sheng, who is he?"

"Oh." Chaosheng chuckled and introduced him to Yinxu, "He is the older brother of that little octopus from the other day."

"His name is Guxian, and that little octopus is called Xiaodu."

After finishing, Chaosheng gently took Yinxu's hand, looked at Guxian, and introduced him with a smile, "This is my Beast Husband, his name is Yinxu."

Guxian watched their tightly clasped hands, his red eyes darkening for an instant, his voice so soft it was barely perceptible, "Hello."

"My name is Guxian."

Deep red eyes met dark brown eyes, a chilling smile flashed in the red eyes, and Yinxu narrowed his eyes, adding a layer of scrutiny.

Chaosheng saw that it wasn't right for everyone to stand at the entrance talking, so she greeted them, "Come in and talk."

"Alright."

Guxian dragged a crate of fish and shrimp inside; under the resistance of the water, every step he took was especially difficult.

Yinxu took the initiative to say, "Let me help you."

Guxian merely shook his head, a hint of chill in his clear, secluded voice, "No need."

Chaosheng frowned slightly but didn't say anything; after all, in her eyes, Guxian had always been this strange.

She signaled for Guxian to put the crate to one side, then directed them to sit on the grass mat she had laid out.

"Baini is sleeping, let's keep our voices down."

Chaosheng pointed to the inner side for Guxian; the ice wall was high and solid, making it almost impossible to see that there was another Beastman lying inside.

Guxian's eyes deepened slightly, and his pale, thin lips tugged, "Alright."

By the faint light shining in from outside the cave, a rough silhouette could be seen.

Chaosheng sat extremely close to Yinxu, able to feel a trace of heat radiating from his side, and she looked at Guxian opposite her with a calm face, "What did you come here for?"

Guxian lowered his head, his long hair falling down, his handsome face hidden in the red hair, making his expression unclear; his voice was gentle and ethereal, "I came to thank you."

"I already told you."

"This basket of prey was sent to you by Shanlan and the others, but they had things to do and couldn't come personally, so they had to ask me to come."

A trace of strangeness crossed Chaosheng's heart, her pretty little face wrinkling slightly, but she still said politely, "Okay, thank you."

Suddenly, Guxian lifted his head slightly, a pair of crystalline, enchanting red eyes staring straight at Chaosheng, "I was injured and have no way to hunt, but I am truly grateful for the help you gave me."

"So, can I stay?"

When Guxian said this, the corners of his thin lips curled slightly, a hint of seduction flashing in the corners of his eyes, "If you have anything to do, feel free to order me."

"Ah, no... no need for that."

Chaosheng was bewildered by Guxian's words and refused his proposal with slight embarrassment, "I don't have anything for you to do."

"Besides, if you come here, what about Xiaodu?"

Hearing this, Guxian tilted his head, an innocent expression on his beautiful face, "So, do you want me to bring him along?"

Chaosheng blinked in confusion, her thick, curled eyelashes fluttering rapidly, and she said tactfully, "I... that's not what I meant."

"It's not very convenient for you to stay with us, is it?"

"Hm?" The tail of his voice was seductively drawn out, and Guxian's eyes were clear and innocent. "Is there anything inconvenient about it?"

Chaosheng: "..."

How was this guy even less aware of social etiquette than she was?

"We don't welcome you here." Yinxu's face darkened, his eyes looking sharply at this presumptuous Beastman.

As a Male Beastman himself, he could naturally pick up on that subtle aura; this Beastman was interested in Sheng.

"Oh?" His pale, thin lips moved slightly, his voice sounding languid and lingering, and a faint smile appeared on Guxian's face. "Chaosheng, your Beast Husband seems to have an opinion about me."

"You haven't even spoken, yet he is already overstepping his bounds to make decisions for you?"

"In my former Tribe, Beast Husbands like this would have to suffer a bit." Guxian's smile deepened, his voice gaining a bit of strength. "But fortunately, he met a Mate as good as you, so he can be tolerated."

"You..." Yinxu narrowed his eyes, looking angrily at this affected Male Beastman.

"Shut your mouth!"
