Chapter 50: Guxian Successfully Stays the Night
Guxian successfully stays the night.
"Yinxu!"
Yinxu stood up, wanting to give this guy a piece of his mind, but Chaosheng hurriedly grabbed him, her eyes anxious, "Don't be impulsive."
The little Mermaid's voice made Yinxu calm down a bit; after letting out a slight breath, he sat down with restraint.
In an instant, the atmosphere between the three Beastmen became abruptly strange.
Yet, Guxian spoke up, oblivious to the danger: "Hmm?"
"Was what I said wrong?"
"Female Chaosheng, your Beast Husband seems unable to hear even a single word of truth."
A blaze of anger spread through Yinxu's dark brown eyes; he clenched his fists, secretly gathering his supernatural power, ready to ensure this Beastman would never return if he dared to say another word without knowing his place.
Chaosheng soothingly tugged at the white fur at Yinxu's waist, looking at Guxian with a calm expression, "I think Yinxu is fine no matter what."
"Guxian, your words have made him unhappy."
"I hope you can be more considerate in the future."
Guxian's brows lowered slightly, a flash of astonishment passing through his deep red eyes, which then transformed into the joy of one who has discovered a treasure.
His eyes remained glued to her without blinking, curiosity and delight blooming in their depths, yet his beautiful, pale face took on a look of frailty and pity, "Sorry, I will be careful."
His ruby-like eyes grew a bit moist, the apology in them making one unable to help but feel pity, "I'm sorry."
Yinxu lifted his chin slightly; the words "it's fine" were stuck firmly in his throat, unable to be spoken.
This Male Beastman was not apologizing sincerely at all.
He looked at Guxian with resentment, his temper rising.
Chaosheng rubbed her messy long hair, a headache coming on, her voice carrying a hint of weariness, "We are going to rest."
"You should go back."
"I said I would save you, so I naturally will; you don't need to do anything to repay me."
Guxian raised an eyebrow, his deep red eyes brimming with moisture, shimmering with a faint, soft light, "How could that be?"
"You helped me, so I must naturally repay you."
"It's just that I have nothing right now, only this body of mine..." The tail of his sentence was low and long, carrying a seductive tone, and the smile in Guxian's eyes deepened, "can be used to help you."
Chaosheng twitched the corners of her mouth numbly, "No need, really."
Guxian looked straight into those beautiful purple eyes, wishing he could kiss them with his gaze, "But it is very late now, and I am feeling a bit sleepy."
"If I go back like this, I am truly afraid of encountering some danger."
Hearing this, Yinxu sneered coldly, his expression disdainful, "Since you are so incompetent, why did you choose such a late time to come?"
"I..." Guxian wanted to say something more.
"Enough!"
Chaosheng interrupted impatiently; judging by the situation, it seemed the two Beastmen were about to argue again.
She looked at Guxian, "You can stay, but there are no extra beds."
"Find a place to rest wherever you like."
"Sheng..." Yinxu looked at her with dissatisfaction; how could she agree to let him stay?
This Male Beastman clearly had ill intentions, and who knew what kind of mischief he was plotting.
Chaosheng closed her eyes in exhaustion, but still comforted him softly, "Letting him stay for one night won't cause any trouble."
"If he wants to stay, let him stay."
"Tsk!" Yinxu twitched the corners of his mouth with an unpleasant expression, his dark brown eyes gathering cold light as he looked coldly at this Beastman with impure motives.
Guxian curled his lips, letting him stare.
His goal achieved, he was very pleased now.
Guxian successfully stayed; he was not picky about where he slept, simply spreading out some seaweed and lying down on it.
He looked at the Bosha in the very center, and the two high walls beside it, as if he had understood something; his gaze deepened, and a trace of a smile flashed by.
The cold seawater rippled, and a slight chill rose in the Ice Cave.
As the slanting light fell, several thick tentacles rose and waved at the cave entrance.
Unfortunately, neither the two Male Beastmen sleeping inside the ice walls nor the little Mermaid sleeping in the Bosha saw this scene.
Thin fingers tapped slightly on the icy ground, and the tentacles behind him danced wantonly, wishing to immediately occupy this place.
His red eyes looked at the elegant Bosha with a dull and obsessive gaze, and the tapping of his fingertips paused slightly.
Mermaids are truly interesting.
The sky grew slightly bright, and the dark underwater world gradually pulled back its curtain to reveal the light.
Baini lay on the grass bed, the eye he had open rolling around, his raised brows twitching as his sleeping consciousness slowly awakened.
"Ha!"
Baini straightened his sleep-rumpled beast clothes, smoothed out his messy black hair, and walked out slowly with his hands behind his head.
"Sheng...?"
Baini blinked rapidly, his fingers stiffly clutching the back of his head, almost thinking he was hallucinating.
"Sheng, eat this, this is fresh."
"This is also fresh, it's all alive; I even added some Mangan Grass—you don't know what Mangan Grass is yet, do you?"
"Sheng, you..."
Chaosheng looked at these two childish Beastmen with a headache, watching the two pieces of fish meat thrust right under her nose, a flash of helplessness passing through her eyes.
"Alright, I'm full."
"Stop feeding me."
Early in the morning, Guxian had gone off to who knows where to get some seaweed to prepare fish, and Yinxu had also gone out hunting very early.
Then, once Chaosheng was ready, the current situation arose, with two Beastmen acting like they were offering up treasures, pulling Chaosheng to eat their respective fish.
Especially Yinxu; she remembered that Yinxu had always been very mature and steady, so how had she also started doing such childish things?
Suddenly, Chaosheng averted her gaze as if to escape, and then she caught sight of Baini walking over slowly; she looked as if she had seen a savior, "Baini, come over here!"
Then she said to Yinxu and Guxian, "Baini just woke up and hasn't eaten anything yet."
"I can't eat this fish anymore either, give it all to him."
Chaosheng happily handed these two pieces of succulent fish to Baini, and Baini did not decline, as he happened to be hungry as well.
While wolfing down the fish, he asked, "Sheng, who is this?"
Baini had slept soundly last night, so he knew nothing of what had happened.
So Chaosheng introduced him once more, "His name is Guxian, he is that little octopus's older brother."
Little octopus?!
Baini frowned, the image of that silly and cute dumbo octopus appearing in his mind; his round black eyes looked at the delicate beauty before him, a flash of deep thought crossing his eyes, "You are that silly octopus's brother?"
"The difference is just too great."
"Are all you octopuses so full of contrast?"
Guxian's brows lowered, a trace of darkness flashing through his deep red eyes, and he curled his lips without any emotion, "Xiaodu is not silly, he is very smart."
"Hmph!" Baini snorted with a laugh, neither confirming nor denying; that little octopus looked silly, and he didn't know how it had managed to live this long.
However, considering that the person opposite him was the other's brother, being protective of one's own—he could understand that.
With the succulent fish in his stomach, Baini finished all the prey Yinxu had caught and the fish and shrimp Guxian had brought last night, only then managing to feel half-full.
Baini narrowed his eyes in satisfaction, revealing his sharp tiger teeth with pleasure, and a dark glint flashed in his eyes as he looked at Guxian: "Oh right, why haven't you left yet?"
