Chapter 54: Zhuche Appears
Zhuche appears
She tugged on the grass vine, staring fixedly at this fish; the net opening widened, and the fresh, plump ice fish fell into the net, struggling a few times in the crowded school of fish, unwilling to give up.
"Hahaha!"
After a bout of hunting, Chaosheng's mood clearly improved.
She looked at the heavy net of fish, conflicted, feeling it could hold more; should she net once more?
"Yo, caught a Mermaid having a secret tryst with a wild Male, have we?"
A sarcastic, mocking voice rang out in the air.
Before Chaosheng could even feel confused, a familiar black vortex appeared in mid-air, and Zhuche walked out from within, wearing a bewitching smile.
When his dark, eerie gaze caught sight of Guxian, a cold hostility flashed and vanished—a wild Male!
Seeing that it was a Beastman she knew, a hint of surprise slowly rose in Chaosheng's eyes, "Why is it you?"
"Why are you here?"
Come to think of it, she seemed to have never known where Zhuche's home was; could it be here?
A flash of faint anger crossed Zhuche's bewitching face as he looked at the little Mermaid arrogantly, "I come here if I want to, is that not allowed?"
What could Chaosheng say? She could only say "It is" in a dry tone.
Guxian's red eyes flashed, and his pale, thin lips curled into a gentle smile, "Sheng, who is this?"
Unlike before, he followed Baini and Yinxu in calling her Sheng, as if secretly declaring his possessiveness and sovereignty.
As expected, Zhuche was enraged; a flicker of faint anger flashed in his dark blue snake pupils, and his snake tongue pressed against his eager fangs, wishing he could bite into this wild Male's blood vessels.
"Do those two know about you and him?"
"Or is it that those two don't satisfy you at all, which is why you have to come out looking for a new lover?"
Zhuche had misunderstood quite thoroughly; given the ambiguous and pleasant atmosphere between the two just now, and this intimate "Sheng," it would be hard for him not to misunderstand.
Chaosheng glanced at him speechlessly, her tone helpless, "You've got it wrong."
"He and I are not in that kind of relationship."
"Not that kind of relationship, then what kind of relationship is it?" Zhuche was angry, even though he had absolutely no status or standing to be angry.
Yet, looking at Chaosheng, it was as if he were seeing his beloved Mate having an affair with a reckless wild Male; the resentment in his eyes was thick enough to drip.
A faint flush appeared on his cold, white, and enchanting face, and his dark blue snake pupils glared viciously at this strange Male Beastman, seemingly trying to find any point on him that was superior to himself.
Otherwise, why would the little female choose this Male Beastman instead of him?!
The accusatory tone successfully triggered Chaosheng's contrarian nature, and a hint of mischief flashed in her eyes, "Any kind of relationship is fine."
"What does it have to do with you?"
"Baini and Yinxu know I came out with him."
The implication was: I am willing, my Beast Husbands allow it, and it is not your place to interfere.
"You..." A breath caught in Zhuche's chest, unable to be exhaled.
What truly useless Males, to actually allow their Mate to come out and mess around with other Beastmen?!
Hearing this, Guxian also cooperated by leaning two parts closer to Chaosheng, his slightly curved eye corners carrying two parts of provocation, "That's right."
"We came out perfectly openly."
"Do not misunderstand."
The melodious tail of his voice was intentionally drawn out; to Zhuche's ears, it sounded as if Chaosheng's two Beast Husbands had already acknowledged his existence.
Perhaps, before long, Chaosheng would have a third Beast Husband.
It made sense; such a beautiful and unique female could not possibly only have those two Beast Husbands forever.
Zhuche had not expected this day to come so quickly.
He himself seemed unable to accept this matter.
Clearly, he had discovered her earlier than these Beastmen, had he not?
He had already had such intimate contact with her, yet she knew nothing of it, leaving only him troubled by the past rain and dew.
Bitter venom seeped from his sharp fangs, and his dark blue eyes were dim and heavy, as if he wanted to inject the venom into the little female's neck, letting her feel his own painful struggle.
Interrupted by this, Chaosheng lost the mood to continue fishing; she shook the grass vine slightly and instructed Guxian in a listless tone: "This should be enough for Xiaodu to eat for a while."
"Don't forget to bring him along when you come to find me to purify your Mental Sea in a few days."
His handsome brows furrowed slightly, and Guxian stared dejectedly at Chaosheng's drooping fish tail: "What do you mean?"
"Are you not coming with me?"
Chaosheng merely shook her head, her crimson lips exhaling slightly: "I should go back."
"I've been out long enough."
Chaosheng tied the grass vine net tightly, pushed the knot into Guxian's hand, her eyes as clear as water, "Here."
Guxian lowered his eyes, his long eyelashes casting a shadow; he had organized a thousand words to coax the little female into staying with him longer.
But when it came time to speak, he could not say them.
Being with the little Mermaid just now had been truly relaxing and happy, happier than when he had been shamelessly staying in that Ice Cave before.
He wanted to face her with a more sincere side of himself, rather than one full of shrewd calculations.
"I..." Although Guxian thought this, he was still filled with lingering attachment when it came time to leave.
Chaosheng waved her hand, her purple eyes filled with a warm smile, "You go."
"We'll be seeing each other in a few days anyway."
That was true.
They would see each other again in a few days.
"Alright, see you in a few days." Guxian comforted himself this way, dragged the large net of fish, and turned to leave.
In truth, his swimming speed was not slow; even while carrying this large net of fish, he disappeared from here in the blink of an eye.
The octopus could have no bad intentions; it merely wanted to spend a little more time with the little Mermaid.
After Guxian left, Chaosheng looked at Zhuche, who was standing there sulking, and a dark glint flashed through her clear purple eyes, "Zhuche!"
"What?" Although his heart was aching to death, upon hearing the little Mermaid's voice, Zhuche still answered quickly.
Chaosheng smiled slightly, her crimson lips curving up, her smile bright and dazzling: "I want to go back."
"Will you take me back, please?"
"...!?" A chill flashed through Zhuche's deep blue snake pupils; what a heartless female!
She only remembers him when she needs to use him.
"Will you?" Chaosheng tilted her head up slightly, a strand of long purple hair resting softly against her ear, her amethyst-like eyes clear and bright, her cold voice carrying a coquettish sweetness.
No one could refuse this act of acting spoiled.
His deep blue snake pupils constricted and trembled slightly, and his scarlet snake tongue could not help but want to flick out.
Zhuche kept a straight face, struggling to restrain this impulse.
No, he could not make a fool of himself in front of the little Mermaid; flicking a snake tongue while in human form was too unsightly.
Moreover, although the little female did not seem to care much about his identity as a sea snake, females in the Polar Sea were so disgusted by sea snakes that who knew if this one action would make the little Mermaid hate him too.
His slender snake tongue hooked and rubbed against his fangs, which were oozing venom, and his deep blue snake pupils darkened to black.
"Fine, I will take you."
