Chapter 79: The Four Meet
The four meet.
In the dead of night, Yinxu watched the flowing seawater, dark colors swirling in his eyes.
He couldn't describe the feeling in his heart, but it was so uncomfortable that he couldn't sleep.
He pressed his hand against his heart, feeling it beat rhythmically.
He thought of what his father had once told him:
"Child, if you like something, you must fight for it yourself."
"If you wait, you will only get what others don't want."
He touched the protrusion over his heart; he was going to fight for it.
His long, sturdy legs stirred the seawater, and as he lifted a corner of the thin veil to gaze at the little Mermaid's peaceful sleeping face, Yinxu curled his lips into a faint smile.
"Mm~"
The sleeping little Mermaid let out a soft moan, and she felt a sudden weight upon her; she opened her eyes slightly to look, "Yinxu, why are you here?"
With a hint of a seductive smile on his exquisite and handsome face, Yinxu touched the Mermaid's beastman, and the smile on his lips deepened.
In an instant, Chaosheng felt something extra on her wrist.
She raised her hand, looking at the lustrous and pure White Pearl Bracelet through the dim sea light, her eyes revealing a hint of surprise, "This is?"
"This is a White Butterfly Shell Pearl."
Yinxu's brown eyes shimmered with flowing light, his calm and faint voice hiding his turbulent thoughts.
"I said I would slowly make up your dowry for you."
A burning gaze fell onto Chaosheng's face, and Chaosheng felt her face begin to heat up.
She secretly swallowed, her eyes blinking uncomfortably, "This pearl is quite pretty."
She wasn't just flattering him; the pearl was pure and smooth, with a very strong cold luster, each bead plump and round, of excellent quality—it was clearly a good item.
"The Polar Sea doesn't have good white pearls."
"I traded for this with a Sea Shell Beastman."
"He had white pearls brought from the Tropical Sea."
Speaking of this, Yinxu's gaze fell onto the Black Pearl on Chaosheng's neck, his elegant voice carrying a hint of inexplicable meaning, "Sheng, your skin is fair."
"Wearing white pearls looks better."
"Ah? Okay."
Chaosheng no longer had the brainpower to think about the meaning of Yinxu's words; she looked at Yinxu's face close at hand, and his scorching body temperature made her feel like the whole fish was about to be cooked.
"Sheng..."
"Wha... what is it?"
Yinxu gently rested his head in the crook of Chaosheng's neck, sniffing the faint fragrance of her hair, his eyes revealing a trace of attachment.
His hands unconsciously touched Chaosheng's head, lifting it slightly, and a burning kiss landed on her purple hair.
One after another, from light to heavy, each one more urgent than the last.
"Yinxu, don't..."
Yinxu opened his infatuated eyes, meeting those clear and resistant purple eyes, and the thoughts he had already planned subsided again.
Forget it, Sheng doesn't have that intention yet.
He would wait a little longer.
The smile in his dark brown eyes deepened, and Yinxu's lips landed lightly on her crimson lips, facing Chaosheng's bewildered eyes.
Yinxu tapped the center of Chaosheng's brow, "Sleep."
"I won't disturb you."
The sky was just beginning to brighten.
Many Beastmen had already arrived outside the cave.
Chaosheng opened her eyes helplessly, looking at the drifting seawater, thinking, isn't this the most remote and hardest place to find?
Why are they coming one after another?
If she has to face sudden Sea Beastmen every time she opens her eyes, she will start charging fees if this continues.
She sighed silently, climbed out of the Shell Bed, and swam toward the outside of the cave with a lazy posture.
Several swimming giant beasts stopped instantly, and one of them transformed into a familiar appearance.
Ailu rolled her eyes, looking at the sleepy Mermaid, and guessed, "You haven't woken up yet?"
"What a lazy female."
Chaosheng lifted her eyelids and glanced at her indifferently; forget it, she wasn't in the mood to argue with her right now.
"What is it?"
Ailu's face was rippling with obvious joy, her voice light, "My sister has woken up."
"After she found out it was you who saved her, she specifically invited you to visit our Tribe."
Chaosheng was stunned for a moment, remembering that Aian was indeed supposed to wake up in these few days.
"Now?" However, she still looked at the sky in disbelief; it was so early.
"Yes," Ailu said affirmatively, "The Beastmen of our Tribe have already returned from hunting, and if we go now, we can still eat the freshest fish."
"..." Chaosheng breathed out slightly and agreed, "Alright."
She turned toward the cave and instructed Baini and Yinxu, who were still sleeping, "Baini! Yinxu!"
"I'm going out for a trip today."
"Wait for me to come back."
Then she said to Ailu, "Let's go."
……
Four Male Beastmen, whose appearances were equally matched, stood before the cave entrance, staring at each other.
Zhuche cursed his bad luck under his breath; he had finally mustered the courage to come visit the little female during the day, only to find that she wasn't there.
"About when will she be back?"
"What business is it of yours when Sheng comes back!" A cold glint flashed through his round black eyes as Baini looked at this Beastman, his expression unfriendly.
He vaguely linked him to the Sea Snake Beastman who had stolen cubs ten years ago.
It was him, that sea snake who had ambushed Sheng several times.
That stinking sea snake who used to go around stealing Beastman cubs and was driven out of the Polar Sea.
"You..." Zhuche's expression turned icy, a flicker of suppressed anger passing through his blue eyes.
The little female really had no taste, choosing a Male with such a bad temper as a Beast Husband.
Guxian observed the expressions of the other three Beastmen calmly, his eyebrows arching slightly, "We have important matters to discuss with the female Chaosheng."
"Could the two of you tell us where the female Chaosheng has gone?"
Baini looked at this familiar-looking Beastman, his gaze slanting slightly, "No!"
Yinxu smiled faintly, the corners of his mouth curling up, "Sorry, we cannot disclose the whereabouts of our Mate to strangers."
"This is for the sake of Sheng's safety; I trust the two of you understand."
Zhuche looked at this hypocritically smiling Male Beastman, the memory of being thwarted that night surfacing in his mind, and his deep blue eyes narrowed slightly, "Whether you are doing this for the little female or for yourself, you know clearly in your heart."
"Are you that afraid that we will take the little female away?"
"Do you have so little confidence in the relationship between you and her?"
Zhuche sneered, every word digging into Yinxu's heart.
He looked at Baini, who was about to speak, his gaze cold and dark, "And you."
"Gifted with such talent, you've reached the Seventh Tier so quickly?"
"Truly, congratulations."
"But rising so fast, be careful that your cultivation realm is unstable; one slip and you might fall to your death."
Even though Zhuche was in human form now, he was like a snake flicking its tongue and releasing venom, bit by bit using his potent poison to provoke their sensitive and fragile nerves.
"You're courting death!"
Baini bared his teeth, revealing sharp tiger fangs, his unruly brows and eyes now filled with malice.
He flicked his hand, and two massive Wind Blades shot toward Zhuche, moving at extreme speed with immense lethality, with no intention of leaving this sea snake any way out.
A flash of black vanished, and Zhuche disappeared from where he stood.
Subsequently, a mocking voice rang out from behind.
"Although you are Seventh Tier, your ability doesn't seem like much!"
