Chapter 80: White Whale Beastman

~7 min read 1,356 words

White Whale Beastman

The female sitting in the seat of honor was surrounded by several Male Beastmen; her complexion was slightly pale, as if she had just recovered from a serious illness.

"Mate, eat this."

"This meat is delicious!"

"……"

Aian frowned and dodged the feeding from several Beast Husbands, "Enough, I still have a guest."

She looked down at Chaosheng sitting on her right, a look of genuine gratitude surfacing in her eyes, "This time, thank you."

Subsequently, she looked at the Beastman standing guard not far away, "Bring up the things that were prepared."

Several Beastmen walked up, each carrying items of considerable weight.

They were all precious things: ocean beef, sweet shrimp, pearls and gemstones of various colors, elegant and smooth Bosha, and so on.

It was clear that the War Shark Tribe had given their full sincerity.

"These are all the thank-you gifts I have for you."

"This..." Chaosheng looked at these items hesitantly, not knowing whether she should accept them, "This is a bit too valuable."

"Hahaha!"

As soon as she said this, the females present all laughed, "Haha, she is truly interesting."

After Aian finished laughing, she told her with a proud face, "It is precisely because it is valuable."

"Because the one you saved was me, and my life is worth far more than this."

"If you don't accept it..." Aian's expression darkened, "then that would be looking down on me."

Since things had reached this point, Chaosheng did not push it away anymore, "Alright then."

"Thank you."

Only then was Aian satisfied; she bit into the fish meat in her mouth, signaling that they could move on to the next segment.

Several graceful and beautiful White Whales swam into the sky above. Aian tossed out a fresh Shading Yu, and the few White Whales instantly began to scramble for it.

"Changye, catch it!"

"Zhang Mian, go for it!"

The females sitting below watched this feast of slaughter with great interest.

Chaosheng was immersed in this lively scene, her gaze watching the struggle of the four White Whales indifferently.

In fact, the outcome had already been revealed.

The White Whale named Changye had been controlling the situation all along; occasionally, the Shading Yu would fall from his mouth, but after the other three White Whales swarmed in to snatch it, he could easily bite it again.

His physique was larger than the other three, and beneath his flawless white skin were vigorous muscles, yet his movements were even more light and fluid; every angle of his leaps seemed as if it had been carefully designed.

After a long while, he seemed to have grown tired of playing.

He finally ended this battle of disparate strength.

He swam over gracefully while carrying the Shading Yu in his mouth, and when he was very close to them, he transformed into an elegant and noble Beastman; his face was like cold jade, yet he radiated a gentle brilliance.

He walked toward Chaosheng step by step and submissively presented this half-dead Shading Yu to Chaosheng, "Chaosheng, your fish."

Chaosheng looked at this mangled fish, a trace of imperceptible disgust flashing across the bottom of her eyes; she wrinkled her nose and said tactfully, "No need."

"I am already full."

A trace of astonishment flashed across Changye's cold and gentle face, and he then looked at his Leader in a dilemma.

"Hahaha!" Aian laughed heartily and looked at Chaosheng with two parts more teasing in her eyes, "What, do you not even fancy the best Male in our Tribe?"

"Huh?" Only then did Chaosheng realize that things were not that simple; she looked at Aian with slight confusion, her eyes darkening slightly, "What do you mean?"

Ailu, sitting opposite her, raised an eyebrow at her, "What? Do you not have this custom where you are from?"

"Changye performed and won for you; if you look favorably upon him and accept this fish, he becomes your Beast Husband."

"What?" Chaosheng looked at the Beastman in front of her in disbelief, the frequency of her blinking increasing; in other words, he had almost become her Beast Husband?

Aian looked at Changye, who was standing there awkwardly, and sighed slightly, "His name is Changye, and he is my Beast Husband's younger brother."

"Changya cherished him very much while he was alive."

"Before, Xizhi came to find me because she had taken a fancy to Changye, telling me that as long as I was willing to marry Changye to her, she would help save Changya."

"But who knew that Changya wouldn't be saved, and even Xizhi..."

Aian's gaze fell upon Chaosheng, full of sincerity and solemnity, "Chaosheng, I am very grateful that you were able to come and save me."

"And I really do think highly of you."

"I am very at ease handing Changye over to you."

Hearing the Leader speak of his older brother, a trace of desolation flashed across Changye's face, his noble and elegant posture drooping slightly, which was heart-wrenching to behold.

"But I already have a Beast Husband." Chaosheng's gentle tone carried a firm refusal, her crimson lips pursed, "I am truly sorry."

"So what?"

Aian did not take this reason seriously at all; it was only natural for a female to take Beast Husbands.

She herself had Changya, yet she still took one Beast Husband after another, whether to strengthen her power or to keep for amusement.

She had always firmly believed that the more capable a female was, the more Beast Husbands she would have.

Someone like Chaosheng was, on the contrary, an anomaly.

Ailu listened to this reason and did not believe it at all, feeling that Chaosheng was making excuses; her tone was slightly cold, "Is it that Changye did something poorly, and you don't like him?"

Changye's beauty was on par with his brother Changya's, yet his potential for supernatural abilities was even greater than Changya's; for Chaosheng to not even fancy him, her standards were truly high.

"I am not..." Chaosheng really did not know how to explain it.

This beautiful White Whale Beastman seemed to know that he had been returned as well; he walked to the front of Chaosheng, knelt down, and his voice carried a trace of sharpness amidst its gentleness, "Can you tell me the real reason?"

He did not believe that the female was refusing to marry him because of the Beast Husbands in her home; he only felt that there was something he had not done well enough.

When Changye knew the Leader intended to marry him to this Mermaid Female, he was happy for a very, very long time, and looked forward to it for a very, very long time.

Right now, this Mermaid Female has a very good reputation among them, the unmarried Males.

She is beautiful and lovely, a Mermaid extremely rare in the Polar Sea.

Moreover, she has been married to two Beast Husbands for so long, and rumors of her abusing her Beast Husbands have never appeared. One only hears that those two Beast Husbands who married her have become better and better; one rose from the Fifth Rank to the legendary Seventh Tier, and one spends his days hunting outside to exchange for Crystal Coins, procuring some rare treasures for her.

She is also very capable, having saved one Beastman after another who was on the verge of death, as if there is no Beastman in this sea she cannot save.

If only the Tribe had found her back then, then older brother... would not have died.

Thinking of his gentle and kind older brother in his memories, Changye sadly lowered his eyes, "Can you really not accept me?"

"I eat very little, and I can hunt too."

"I also have an ability..."

"Oh, right!" Changye suddenly perked up, his deep black eyes flashing with a dazzling light, "You don't know about my ability yet, do you?"

"Although I am only at the Second Rank right now, I feel like I am about to reach the Third Rank."

"And my ability is detoxification; I heard your Beast Husband was once injured by Shelan Grass, right?"
