Chapter 99: Wushi is Dead
Wushi is dead.
The Polar Sea is vast, but food is scarce, and there are many ferocious sea beasts and Beastmen; it truly scared them to death.
Chaosheng, however, keenly sensed something was wrong, a strange light flashing in her eyes, "So, did you also happen to come here to steal things?"
"Those treasures of mine, covered tightly by seaweed, were they also discovered by you by chance?"
Chaosheng's melodious and gentle voice suddenly turned cold and sharp, "Speak!"
The Mermaid Female who had scared the Beastmen suddenly became angry. Tuyi swallowed a mouthful of saliva in fear and spoke tremblingly: "W-we..."
"It was a Beastman who told us."
"She said you had many treasures, and just taking out a few would be enough for us to eat for a long time."
"She also said that if we stole them but couldn't find anyone to trade for food, we could look for her."
Tuyi finished speaking while shivering, carefully glancing at Chaosheng's expression; he now realized with a start that they had been deceived.
This Mermaid Female was clearly a very powerful Beastman.
If this Mermaid Female was unwilling to forgive them, then... then he would just have to pay with his life as a single Beastman.
He was the one who decided to steal, and it had nothing to do with Tu'er and Tusan.
"Her?" Chaosheng frowned in confusion, various guesses flashing through her mind, "Who is she?"
Hearing that the Mermaid Female's voice was not as cold as before, Tuyi relaxed slightly and scratched his head, trying hard to recall, "She is also a Female Beastman. I don't know her name, nor do I know what kind of Beastman she is."
"But she is very, very dark, and very thin, though not good-looking at all."
Upon hearing the words "female" and "dark," Chaosheng immediately locked onto one Beastman.
That Black Butterfly Shell female.
Was it her?
Chaosheng narrowed her eyes, a flash of deep thought in them, "Do you know where to find her?"
"How are you supposed to give the things to her once you get them?"
"Did she say?"
"Yes, yes!" Tuyi nodded vigorously, afraid that if he missed a single chance to prove himself, he would die right here.
"She said it; she told us to go directly to her Tribe to find her."
Chaosheng blinked her cunning eyes, slightly stunned as she spoke: "Tribe?"
"Black Butterfly Tribe?"
"Yes, yes!" Tuyi nodded excitedly, "That's the name!"
Having found the culprit who was causing trouble in the dark, Chaosheng's mood brightened. She looked at Yinxu, Baini, and Changye, the corners of her mouth curling up slightly, "It seems we have something to do again."
Baini rubbed the spot on his hand that had been stung red, coldness flashing through his dark, round, and clear eyes, "Who cares what kind of Beastman Tribe it is? I will make them regret doing this!" Daring to steal his dowry, they truly didn't know how to live!
Changye, however, was full of anticipation for this group activity; he was going out to beat up bad guys with the female again! He rested his chin on his hand, looking infatuatedly at Chaosheng, who seemed to be radiating light, and said, "Great!"
"Let's go show these thieves a thing or two!"
Yinxu, however, was more thoughtful. He clearly remembered the female Tuyi mentioned, his gaze darkening slightly. It was this female again?
That won't do.
Playing little tricks behind Sheng's back time and time again.
Chaosheng left as soon as she decided to, and with three strong Male Beastmen, it looked like quite the formation.
Baini lifted his chin and glanced at the three little cubs sitting on the ground, not daring to move, "Sheng, what should we do with these three?"
Chaosheng turned back, looked at the three of them, was silent for a moment, and then said: "How about this, you three each carry one and take them with you!"
"Huh?" Baini looked at the three little cubs with disgust; he hated the idea of carrying any of them.
"Then I'll carry this one!" Changye's hand reached out toward Tusan immediately; although this one was the heaviest, he looked the most obedient.
Besides, he had been the one carrying him earlier, so he had developed some feelings for him.
"Mm." Chaosheng nodded lightly; she had her reasons for doing this.
Beastmen rarely came to their Ice Cave, and even if they did, no one dared to steal things.
After all, they all wanted to stay alive in the Polar Sea.
But these three little Beastmen were different; it was possible they would ransack all these treasures while they were away.
And if they were going to the other party's Tribe to demand an explanation, they needed a witness.
"Let's go."
As soon as Chaosheng finished speaking, the three Male Beastmen hauled the unwilling little Beastmen away.
Tuyi hung his head, full of reluctance; who knew why they had to bring them along?
He just knew this female was up to no good!
Following Baini's directions, Chaosheng soon found the Black Butterfly Tribe.
Baini had been a street urchin when he was young, and he had been to almost every corner of the Polar Sea.
The little Beastmen in the hands of the three Male Beastmen were all dejected, their bodies still marked with red welts from being punished.
They had tried to use their old tricks to escape on the way.
But they were quickly discovered by the alert Male Beastmen.
And then they were given a "lesson."
Who knew what was up with these three Male Beastmen? Their observation skills were all so sharp?
Especially Tuyi, who was being hauled by Baini; Baini was completely settling a private grudge, and he hit him really hard when he punished him.
He also realized that the pile of dowry belonged to this Male Beastman!
He must have been taking out his personal frustrations when he hit him!
Otherwise, it couldn't possibly hurt that much!
Baini lifted his chin slightly, a flash of satisfaction crossing his eyes; since Sheng wouldn't let him kill this group of brats, he had plenty of ways to deal with them!
The Mermaid Female brought three Male Beastmen, coming on aggressively.
Especially that face and appearance of the female, which had long since spread throughout the Polar Sea.
The Beastman guarding outside looked at Chaosheng, various guesses surfacing in his heart, yet on the surface, he was truly respectful, "May I ask, are you all just passing through, or is there some business?"
Chaosheng blinked her deep purple, crystal-clear eyes and said lightly, "Naturally, there is business."
The Black Butterfly Shell Beastman shuddered abruptly, his upper teeth clattering against his lower teeth, and he asked with trepidation, "Then... then may I ask what business it is?"
Chaosheng squeezed out a smile that didn't reach her eyes at him; her rich, beautiful face remained stunning, but it radiated a bone-chilling coldness, "There is a Female Beastman in your Tribe who wants to harm me."
"I have come to settle the score with her."
"Ah... ah?" The Beastman looked at Chaosheng in terror, his mouth wide open, and he asked stammeringly, "Is... is there perhaps some misunderstanding?"
"There is no misunderstanding."
"Go, call her out, we shall confront her face-to-face!"
"Her name is..."
Suddenly, Chaosheng paused in distress; she had just remembered, she didn't seem to have asked what that female's name was?
But then she remembered the Male Beastman who sold them the pearls, who was that female's Beast Husband.
His name was... Wushi.
"Go, bring Wushi's Mate here!"
Upon hearing this, the Black Butterfly Shell Beastman was stunned for a moment, then frowned and said hesitantly, "Wushi?"
"He is already dead."
