Chapter 98: The Three Little Beastmen

~7 min read 1,225 words

Three Little Beastmen

Chaosheng rubbed her eyes and walked quickly to the cave entrance; Baini, Yinxu, and Changye had already split up to catch them.

Those three thieves were very cautious; after hearing the commotion, they scattered and ran.

Before long, Baini, Yinxu, and Changye each returned, having caught a little cub.

"Let go!"

"Don't hold me by the neck!"

"You hateful Sea Beastmen, I won't let you off!"

The three little beastmen bared their teeth and snarled at Chaosheng and the others.

Chaosheng flicked her tail and swam over slowly; hearing the little beastmen's words, she gave a light smile, "You...? You won't let us off?"

"How exactly do you plan on not letting us off?"

The little beastman with black-green hair glared angrily, looking at Chaosheng with what he thought was a fierce expression, "Don't you worry about me!"

"I naturally have my ways!"

Chaosheng observed their appearance; they didn't look old, but their colors were very vibrant. The one snapping at her had black-green hair, while the other two were orange-white and yellow-brown, respectively.

They were rare colors.

Chaosheng brushed the hair on her cheek behind her ear and mused, "Oh, I see!"

"You aren't beastmen from the Polar Sea, are you?"

"Where did you come from!"

Tuyi widened his eyes in surprise, looking at Chaosheng in disbelief; how did she know?

Tu'er, the orange-white fellow, looked at Tuyi for help; what should they do now?

Only Tusan, who had yellow-brown hair, looked at Chaosheng with curiosity; hmm, what a beautiful Female Beastman.

Chaosheng looked at them with amusement; of course, she had grounds for her guess.

In the Polar Sea now, who didn't know her, Chaosheng? Who would dare come here to steal things from her?

Unless they were from outside.

Moreover, the colors of these three fellows really didn't match the dull and gloomy style of the Polar Sea at all.

Baini dangled Tu'er, the corners of his mouth curling into a wicked smile, "I wonder what kind of beastmen they are."

"Why don't we kill them and eat them."

As soon as the words fell, Tu'er, feeling the genuine murderous intent, shrank his neck and said fearfully, "Don't... don't eat us!"

Tuyi's heart sank, and he shouted, "Let's go."

Suddenly, the three half-grown little beastmen vanished.

"Tsk!"

"Huh?!"

"What is that?"

Yinxu, Baini, and Changye all cried out in pain simultaneously; the little beastmen they were holding had disappeared, and a cold sensation landed on the backs of their hands, instantly turning into a burning, stinging pain.

The three little sea hares fell to the seabed, exchanged a glance, and decided to run away while they weren't paying attention.

Go?!

Mm!

Mm!

The little sea hares crawled forward, but suddenly a layer of sea sand kicked up before them, and the seawater in front of them seemed to turn into a transparent wall that they couldn't pass through no matter what.

"What is going on?" Tuyi shouted, worried and anxious.

"What do you think is going on?"

In front of the little sea hares, which were only a palm's length long, a Mermaid Female suddenly appeared like a giant; her beautiful, powerful tail looked as if a light sweep could smash them to pieces.

Chaosheng squatted down gently and looked at the three little fellows, "Don't be in such a hurry to leave."

"Tell me about it."

In an instant, the three little beastmen felt as if they had been lifted by a gust of wind, until they landed on a flat surface.

Yinxu, Baini, and Changye also followed Chaosheng back into the Ice Cave.

Chaosheng withdrew her ability, and the three sea hares fell onto the cold ground.

Baini clutched his hand, which had been stung red, and looked at the three little things with a gloomy expression; he tugged at the corner of his mouth, "Tsk, they're sea hares."

"Then it looks like we can't eat them."

"Let's just kill them!"

Upon hearing this, the three little sea hares trembled violently, terrified that this terrifying beastman would chop them up.

"Don't kill us!"

"Don't kill us, we're willing to do anything!"

"Yeah, yeah, we beg you!"

Chaosheng curled her lips slightly; when she saw they were just a few little beastmen, she hadn't intended to do anything to them, just tease them.

However, she still pretended to be angry on the surface, looking at them with a stern face, "Alright."

"Then explain where you came from."

"Why you came to my place to steal things."

"And what you stole."

"Oh, right." Chaosheng deliberately drew out her tone, looking at them with a half-smile, "The things you stole are my Beast Husbands' dowry."

"He is very angry right now."

"If you don't explain yourselves properly, he won't let you off."

After Chaosheng finished speaking, she looked with satisfaction at the three little sea hares curling their bodies up in fear.

Baini guessed Chaosheng's intentions and cooperated by flexing the muscles in his wrists, saying in an unkind tone, "You should know what a dowry means to a married Male Beastman, right?"

"I'll talk, I'll talk."

Tuyi was the first to transform into human form, and immediately after, Tu'er and Tusan also transformed into human form.

Tuyi frowned with his malnourished little face and sighed slightly, "We didn't steal anything."

"Really!"

"This is our first time stealing, and then..." Tuyi looked dejectedly at Yinxu, "and then we were discovered by you."

Tu'er chimed in: "Yes, yes, we didn't steal anything at all!"

Tusan stared at Chaosheng with round, unblinking eyes: "Yes, we really didn't take anything, can you let us go!"

Only then did Chaosheng cast her gaze upon the exquisitely carved-looking Tusan; this little Beastman seemed the youngest in mental age, yet he was the sturdiest, looking well-fed and plump, not at all like the other two thin and scrawny little Beastmen.

"Are the three of you biological brothers?"

"Yes." Tuyi nodded, and with the air of someone facing death, he honestly confessed, "The three of us are biological brothers."

"My name is Tuyi, I am the older brother."

"His name is Tu'er." Tuyi pointed at the orange-and-white-haired little Beastman, then pointed at the yellow-brown-haired little Beastman and said, "This is Tusan, he is our younger brother."

Chaosheng composed her expression, her tone deep, "Really? You aren't lying to us?"

"Then why is your younger brother sturdier than the two of you?"

Tuyi: "..."

Tusan, however, crawled forward two steps and gestured wildly as he told Chaosheng: "Because my brothers give all the good food to me."

"They say I'm small and they have to let me have it!"

Then he suddenly pursed his lips, and teardrops fell from his eyes with a plop, "We came to take your things this time because I was too hungry."

"My brothers couldn't find food for me anymore, so that's why..."

Chaosheng understood what he meant, and a trace of sympathy flashed imperceptibly in her deep purple eyes, but her expression remained unchanged and her tone was cold, "Then you aren't Beastmen from the Polar Sea, are you?"

"Where are you from?"

Tuyi scratched his head and said with a bewildered look: "We don't know either."

"We've been like this since we were born."

"Then I took Tu'er and Tusan swimming everywhere, and we just happened to swim here this time."
