Chapter 634: Terrible truth! Devil Fruit ability users out of control!

Devils living in Devil Fruits?

Dr. Clover's words undoubtedly caused shock among the others again.

How could such a thing sound as absurd as a three-year-old's storybook?

However, the Ohara scholars all knew that with Dr. Clover's personality, he would absolutely not joke about this aspect.

Soon, under Dr. Clover's explanation, everyone present finally knew the entire truth about Devil Fruits!

The reason Devil Fruit ability users possessed various magical powers was that when they ate a Devil Fruit, a devil entered their body, allowing them to borrow the devil's power.

Moreover, the devils in Devil Fruits were naturally afraid of the seawater of this world, which caused an effect on those who ate Devil Fruits.

That was why there was the phenomenon where no matter how good a person's swimming ability was originally, as long as they ate a Devil Fruit, they would completely lose their swimming ability instantly!

In addition, when a Devil Fruit ability user died, those devils that entered their bodies would not perish along with them; they would only return to the Devil Mother Tree, and after a short time, they would reappear in the world in the form of fruits.

If Lin Xuan were here, he would probably be relieved.

Earlier, he had tried to use the Reincarnation Jutsu on some dead Devil Fruit ability users, only to find that those people had already lost their Devil Fruit abilities, and their strength had dropped significantly!

Besides that, when he killed Blackbeard earlier, he also noticed an abnormality through the Rinnegan, discovering that something seemed to have left Blackbeard and their corpses; those were actually the devils of the Devil Fruits!

At this time, a grave expression appeared on Dr. Clover's face, and immediately afterward, he threw out a piece of news that made people's scalps tingle.

"The ancestors who recorded the Poneglyphs suspected that the Devil Mother Tree not only possessed extremely strong vitality itself but could also control all Devil Fruit ability users through these devils. All the wars eight hundred years ago were actually manipulated by the Devil Mother Tree behind the scenes!"

"Nani, how is that possible?"

Everyone in the arena heard Dr. Clover's words and couldn't help but widen their eyes, their faces showing expressions of disbelief.

In the arena, currently only Nico Luo Bin and Konan were considered living people, and their expressions changed slightly.

Because they had also eaten Devil Fruits, such a result was like a heavy hammer to them!

"From the records of the Poneglyphs, the war back then lasted for a long time. The Devil Mother Tree controlled all the Devil Fruit ability users, destroyed the countries at that time, and attempted to completely control this world!" Dr. Clover continued to explain.

"After that, all the controlled Devil Fruit ability users died inexplicably; it is suspected that they were wiped out by the Devil Mother Tree, just to hide the fact that Devil Fruit ability users were being controlled!"

Those present heard this and all felt their scalps tingling a bit.

This Devil Mother Tree actually possessed such consciousness and wisdom; this was too scary, right?!

Dr. Clover sighed and said: "This is the truth of the blank one hundred years of history that we have been pursuing!"

The Ohara scholars present were all a bit dazed.

They really didn't expect that the historical truth they had been painstakingly pursuing would be like this!

Soon, another scholar asked: "Doctor, if the Devil Mother Tree is so powerful, then why has it not appeared in these eight hundred years, and instead the World Government has ruled this world?"

"That is because the Devil Mother Tree is indeed very powerful, but it is not without things that restrain it."

"The Poneglyphs also recorded that eight hundred years ago, the Devil Mother Tree almost controlled the entire world. At that time, someone used the three Ancient Weapons—Uranus, Pluton, and Poseidon—and the joint effort of the three weapons directly heavily injured the Devil Mother Tree!"

"These years, the Devil Mother Tree has probably been hiding itself under the Red Line, and at the same time, it selected twenty guardians, which are the twenty Celestial Dragon ancestors, to establish the World Government to protect it!"

"So, this ancestor guessed that the joint effort of the three Ancient Weapons might be able to pose a great threat to the Devil Mother Tree, and it is even possible to completely destroy it!"

"Doctor, are the records on this really credible?" Nico Olvia asked with a frown.

Dr. Clover also frowned, then said in a deep voice: "I can't say for sure, but it is very likely true, because the person who left this Poneglyph was precisely the ancestor of the 'D' clan."

"The person who heavily injured the Devil Mother Tree back then was precisely him!"

Others all took a deep breath; the amount of information was too large, and they still couldn't react to it now.

At this time, Nico Luo Bin's expression changed slightly, and she hurriedly looked at Konan and said: "Lady Konan, please hurry and tell the Guild Leader these messages; they are currently fighting the World Government in the Holy Land of Mary Geoise!"

Konan nodded.

Actually, she didn't need Nico Luo Bin to remind her; she had already prepared to send the information she obtained to the Naruto World chat group through the super-dimensional communication at the first opportunity.

However, the area around the Holy Land of Mary Geoise was already plunged into chaos.

"Boom!"

"Kill, kill you all!"

"Damn it, are you crazy? Why did you suddenly attack us?"

"What is going on? Captain, wake up!"

Noisy sounds were endless, and the surroundings had completely plunged into chaos.

The reason for this situation was that just a moment ago, all the Devil Fruit ability users present seemed to have gone crazy and suddenly launched attacks on the people around them!

This was the case for both the New Era Alliance side and the World Government side!

Even powerhouses like Whitebeard, Sengoku, and Aokiji were currently caught in crazy fighting, as if they had completely lost their rationality! ===== CHAPTER 636 =====
