Chapter 39: The Xinghai Kingdom Turmoil

~7 min read 1,366 words

Once the transaction ended, Ka Li Na and the other officers held suitcases filled with Berries, and the smile on her face never faded.

She had saved up quite a bit of money herself over the years, but it had all been buried on Clockwork Island; she had been very distressed, but now, seeing her savings used for ship construction, she felt a bit more balanced.

At least now there is a home.

The big boss enthusiastically reached out his hand: "Then, a formal self-introduction: my name is Nierman. I look forward to your future cooperation."

Luo Di reached out to shake his hand and laughed: "Then, let us officially begin the transaction."

"Hmm?" Nierman asked in confusion: "Haven't we already finished trading?"

"You are very familiar with this area, so you must know those nobles, right?" Luo Di asked.

Nierman squinted in thought, and before long, he realized and laughed: "So you had this intention from the start. You are truly worthy of being the Blood Calamity. Hahahaha."

"A thief never leaves empty-handed; I am a pirate, after all," Luo Di said. "Don't worry, I will only rob those nobles. It won't take long. Is your cash still sufficient?"

"Of course," Nierman said. "I am a qualified businessman."

Xinghai Wangguo, Guizu Gaodi.

"Ah, riding a horse, so happy!"

A child wearing luxurious clothing was riding on the back of a burly middle-aged man, and several older nobles stood beside him, watching with smiles and faces full of doting.

"Son, are you happy? This is the mount your mother carefully selected for you," the noblewoman asked with a smile.

"Thank you, Mother, but I still think it's not fast enough," the little boy said.

"Hmm." The noblewoman nodded, then looked at a servant to the side.

The servant nodded, took a long whip from behind, and handed it to the little boy, saying respectfully: "Young Master, it will be fast if you use this."

"Oh." The little boy took the long whip in surprise and lashed it fiercely across the face of the slave who was kneeling on the ground.

"Yay, yay, it really got faster!"

The room was filled with joyful laughter.

Outside the house, a woman wearing tattered clothes knelt at the entrance with a little girl, begging the guards at the door: "Please, let my husband go. I will do anything."

"Sob, sob, sob, I want my daddy," the little girl cried loudly.

"Get lost! Being chosen as a slave by Lord Zhalang is your honor. If you make any more noise, I'll arrest you too!" the guard said irritably.

"Please..."

Bang!

Before the woman could finish her sentence, the guard kicked her to the ground. Seeing this, the little girl immediately rushed up and hugged the guard's leg, shouting: "Don't bully my mother, you bad person!"

The other guards saw this and revealed mocking smiles. The guard whose leg was being hugged grabbed the little girl by her clothes and lifted her up: "Tsk tsk tsk, she's just too small, otherwise... hehe."

"You animals!" The woman immediately crawled to the guard, hugging the little girl to try and pull her back, but the guard's strength was immense, and her frail body could not make him let go.

"Had enough?" The guard's tone was cold. He suddenly let go, and due to the momentum, the woman fell backward to the ground while holding the little girl.

The guard drew his sword to strike them down, and the woman hurriedly shielded the little girl beneath her.

The moment the long sword fell, a 'whoosh' was suddenly heard. The sword-wielding guard suddenly stiffened, then slowly knelt down; a short, thin iron arrow appeared between his eyebrows. Not far away in the air, a cat-man was hovering using a jetpack, the goggles on his eyes reflecting an orange light.

The remaining guards immediately drew their swords, but they had no long-range weapons. Lin De Bo Ge occupied an absolute aerial advantage and soon used his homemade quiver to eliminate all the guards.

The woman stood stunned in place, and the little girl's crying stopped. Lin De Bo Ge descended from the air and curled his lips: "Go home and rest. This place will receive the baptism of the Blood Calamity Pirates."

Under the starry sky, a large group of people rushed onto the high ground.

Sounds erupted from the luxuriously decorated houses. Some nobles hadn't even had time to put on their clothes before running out with several scantily clad women.

"Roar! Everyone inside, put your hands on your heads and squat down! I, A Nuo, don't blink when I kill. If you want to live, behave!" A Nuo roared as he rushed into the room.

The little boy who had been "riding a horse" froze, then ran to A Nuo with a face full of rage, pointing at his nose: "Damn commoner, how dare you speak so loudly in front of me."

Then he looked at the noblewoman inside: "Mother, this fatty is good. I want to ride him, la la la."

"I'll fuck your mother!"

With a bang, A Nuo lifted his foot and kicked the little boy flying more than ten meters away. The other nobles and guards in the room widened their eyes, unable to react, as the pirates rushed in with ferocious grins.

A long time later, at the entrance of the ruined house, the noble little boy, whose face was covered in bruises and swollen like a pig's head, hugged the woman and cried: "Mom, why do these commoners dare to come and rob us, and even hit me, sob, sob, sob..."

This robbery did not last long. By the time the palace guard arrived, the crew members had already left with the treasure.

Inside the private room, Luo Di and Nierman sat on the sofa smoking cigars, and the crew members walked in one after another carrying the spoils.

"Hahaha, as expected of you. This transaction was perfect. I wish you a smooth voyage on the Grand Line. We shall meet again."

After the trade, Nierman smiled and saw Luo Di and his group off.

After Luo Di left, the woman beside Nierman suddenly opened her eyes. Her previous intoxicated state vanished completely, replaced by an indifferent expression.

Nierman's expression suddenly changed, and he said respectfully: "What do you think of him?"

"Not bad," the woman's tone was like frost. "I hope he can last a little longer on the Grand Line."

"Hahaha, so much money, I can buy materials again!" On the road to the port, Lin De Bo Ge cheered excitedly.

"That's right, we won't be short of medicine in the future either. Everyone can fight with peace of mind," Lu Xi Ya said softly.

A Nuo raised his axe: "I, A Nuo, am going to buy the top-tier ingredients. I'm going to be the King of Gourmet, roar!"

Pa Lu walked to Lin De Bo Ge's side and laughed: "Um, I want a sturdier shield."

Lin De Bo Ge patted his chest: "No problem, leave it to me. I'll get you the sturdiest one in the world; even Sea Stone won't be able to pierce it."

Gai Ou was moved and spoke up: "Then I also want the sharpest halberd."

"Also no problem, it will definitely be able to pierce everything; even a Sea Stone shield will be useless," Lin De Bo Ge said confidently.

Pa Lu and Gai Ou both revealed expectant expressions.

Xiao En remained vigilant of the surroundings and did not speak.

"Luo Di, that Nierman was straightforward, wasn't he?" Ka Li Na said as if asking for credit.

"Not bad, I'll credit you for this," Luo Di smiled, "but the woman beside him is more interesting."

"A woman? Isn't she just a hostess?" Ka Li Na looked puzzled.

"We should be able to run into her again, let's go."

Soon, Luo Di and his party arrived at the harbor, and the palace guard rushed over; Luo Di waved his hand, and the soldiers in the front row suddenly convulsed and collapsed one by one; before the others could react, the giant dragon ship had already set sail, gradually disappearing into the sea.
