Chapter 670: January 7th: Or maybe both are good
January 7th: Or maybe both are good.
January 7th: Or maybe both are good.
Fog, the misty smoke waves merge with sea fog. Fog, it became an obstruction to people's travel and also became their help. Because the fog contains sweet dew. This sweet dew, however, became the moisture for the withered plants of early spring.
Withered plants, spring has quietly arrived. Look, this all-encompassing thick fog, the sweet dew within this fog, is spring's footsteps. Withered plants, hurry and wake up, stretch out your tender green leaves, open your lovely petals, to welcome this spring's sweet dew, spring's footsteps.
I too have left the cold, left winter, wandering along the country lane, to welcome this spring's sweet dew, spring's footsteps.
Oh spring, what will you become?
Is it those fields of flowers like brocade? Is it those busy bees? Someone says: spring is fleeting, the delicate flowers bloom meaninglessly only to fall, fall again and bloom, flowers bloom and fall, geese depart and swallows return; just like the sun rises and the sun sets; brilliance is false, for it will eventually wither; beautification is vain, for it will eventually age.
In this world, everything has someone in charge, yet no one governs this flower's blooming and falling, geese departing and swallows returning, this natural phenomenon of life.
Fog, the early spring fog, I have already seen you bring fragrance and color to the earth, though that fragrance and color are still on the way, within the fog. Although, now I still cannot see the concrete form of that fragrance and color. But, there is a beautiful anticipation, there is a beautiful expectation; is this not also the driving force of life's progress?
Again, looking at flowers in the fog, those flowers are also beautiful: a hazy beauty, the beauty of distance.
On the hazy village path, I seek spring's beauty in the fog.
"Have you left time?"
"No! I have forgotten time, and also forgotten worries!"
"Are you complaining about fate?"
"No! I am seeking the opportunity to sow seeds in early spring. For the Lord says: 'In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening do not rest your hand. For you do not know which will prosper, whether early sowing or late sowing, or both may be good.'"
