Kongzi once admonished his students, saying: "A gentleman has three prohibitions: in youth, when blood and qi are not yet settled, the prohibition is against lust; in adulthood, when blood and qi are strong, the prohibition is against fighting; in old age, when blood and qi have declined, the prohibition is against greed." Kongzi's words are still reasonable. When one is young, one must never waste one's youth on "lust is a sharp blade; this 'blade' can take a person's life, putting them in a deadly situation."

In Dream of the Red Chamber, the young scholar Jia Rui, simply because of his lust, lost his precious life.

Jia Rui, orphaned from childhood, was raised by his grandfather. His grandfather, for his growth, lived frugally, supported his studies, hoping he would establish a family and career, restore the family line, and bring glory to his ancestors.

But this good-for-nothing degenerate, neglecting his studies, actually went looking for death, engaging in the business of seducing other men's wives. Even when his life went to the underworld, he still didn't know how he died.

Feng Jie, whose name is Wang Xifeng, means a rare phoenix. The phoenix is a noble and pure bird; the male is called feng, the female fen. "The male's cry is 'ji ji', the female's cry is 'zu zu'." Male and female are never apart, singing in harmony. Rare in the world. During the Warring States period, the people of Chu also once compared Kongzi to the phoenix's "feng". Kongzi traveled the states; when he passed through Chu, the Chu people saw Kongzi and thought of the phoenix. The Chu people sang by the roadside: "O phoenix! O phoenix! Where has your virtue declined? The past cannot be remonstrated with, but the future can still be pursued. Alas! Alas! Now, those who govern are in peril."

When Kongzi stopped his carriage, wanting to speak with the person who called him feng, that person had already left. Thus, anyone who can be called feng must be extraordinary. The feng is "it will not perch except on the wutong tree, will not eat except the grain of the lotus seed, will not drink except from the sweet spring"; in all its habits of living and eating, it is no ordinary bird.

Wang Xifeng, Cao Xueqin also treated her as a rare phoenix and favored her. One must not allow someone as lowly and filthy as Jia Rui to defile her.

Jia Rui this toad "a thing devoid of human ethics", being bewitched by the beauty of the "Phoenix", actually harbored evil intentions toward the rare Phoenix, moved to act, that is truly seeking death.

You see this thing devoid of human ethics, upon seeing the sister-in-law, actually utters lewd words. Is that an affinity? This is utter nonsense!

This dog-thing, not reading the good Classic of Documents, his heart apertures bewitched by lust; while speaking, his eyes kept sizing up Phoenix Sister.

This good-for-nothing, little lecher, is seeking his own death—he loves someone he ought not to love.

That overly clever Phoenix Sister, wouldn't she understand the lewd ideas in that lecher's mind? Seeing his state, Phoenix Sister had long understood that Jia Rui's words had hidden meaning, and the significance expressed by his eyes.

Phoenix Sister's cleverness is her light Brightness side. But her cleverness sometimes serves as a "hidden arrow" in scheming against others.
