Chapter 503

The improvement was huge. No, it should be said that this was the largest improvement Zhan Long Shan had ever had.

The improvement wasn't over; Su Xiao still had a huge sum of 137,250 Paradise Coins.

"Xiang Bubu, let's go."

Su Xiao took a deep breath. He was prepared to head to the Equipment Strengthening Hall.

Every time he went to the Equipment Strengthening Hall, he felt like he was heading to the execution ground; describing it as being on pins and needles was most appropriate.

Arriving at the Equipment Strengthening Hall, if one stood at the entrance for a while, one could see all kinds of life.

Some Contractors were happy, some walked forward like they had lost their souls, and others even slapped themselves at the entrance, muttering about never strengthening equipment again.

Although the risk of strengthening equipment was extremely high, the rewards were equally great.

Walking into the Equipment Strengthening Hall, Su Xiao tried his best not to look at the messages left by those at the entrance; they were too chilling.

Although the risk of strengthening equipment was high, this was the place with the most Contractors outside the Trading Market.

In the Equipment Strengthening Hall, which was several thousand square meters in size, a large number of Contractors gathered here after every Derived World.

Under the gathering of such a large scale of Contractors, some workers smelled the scent of Paradise Coins, so all kinds of strange businesses emerged one after another.

Some sold strengthening techniques, some strengthened on behalf of others, thereby charging fees, etc.

Su Xiao came to an equipment strengthening machine. There were few Contractors nearby, and it was relatively quiet.

"I'll kill you."

Bang, bang, bang...

Kicking sounds came. A Some Qiyuezhe looked crazy, holding some iron slag in his hand, and was kicking an equipment strengthening machine with all his might.

Seeing the dark purple light emitted by the iron slag in the other party's hand, Su Xiao guessed why this brother was like this. Dark purple equipment strengthening exploding, his mindset must have exploded.

Shaking his head, although Su Xiao was also here to strengthen equipment, he wouldn't strengthen it at the risk of the equipment breaking. If he didn't have 【Phantom Demon Stone】, he wouldn't come to strengthen Zhan Long Shan.

【Phantom Demon Stone】

Quality: Dark Purple

Type: Rare Material

Effect: Can exempt from one strengthening failure penalty. If the strengthening is successful, the Phantom Demon Stone will not be consumed.

Rating: 260

Introduction: A magical crystal from the void, mostly used for protecting weapon strengthening or punching holes.

Su Xiao pressed his hand on the sensor of the equipment strengthening machine.

【Welcome to use equipment strengthening machine No. 426. The user holds Paradise Coins: 137,250 points. Please place the equipment that needs strengthening.】

Placing Zhan Long Shan and the Phantom Demon Stone into the equipment strengthening machine.

【Equipment checking... check complete. The cost for each strengthening is 23,000 Paradise Coins.】

Su Xiao's mouth twitched. 23,000 Paradise Coins each time; if things went wrong, he would go bankrupt.

Xiang Bubu Wang behind Su Xiao sighed. 23,000 Paradise Coins could buy a lot, a lot of meat bones.

"Strengthen."

【Strengthening begins, please wait for five minutes.】

Rumble...

The equipment strengthening machine operated, with astonishing momentum, starting cumbersome operations, and from time to time, one could hear the sizzling sound of electricity.

Five minutes passed quickly, and the equipment strengthening machine gradually stopped working.

Hiss~.

A burst of scorching steam sprayed out, and a prompt appeared.

【Zhan Long Shan +8 successful. Do you wish to continue strengthening?】

The +8 attached ability was restored. Su Xiao pondered for a moment. The Phantom Demon Stone was still there, so even if the strengthening failed, it wouldn't matter; at most, he would lose some Paradise Coins and a stone. Why not give it a try?

Su Xiao chose to continue.

The equipment strengthening machine operated, roaring loudly.

The five-minute wait began to feel long. If strengthening +9 was successful, then there was a possibility of strengthening +10.

Su Xiao had seen a piece of green equipment strengthened to +10, which could only be described as very strong, but now +9 hadn't succeeded yet, so wanting +10 was too far away.

Hiss~

Scorching steam sprayed out. Su Xiao waited for the strengthening result, and Xiang Bubu Wang on the side was also a bit nervous.

【Zhan Long Shan +9 successful. Do you wish to continue strengthening?】

It really succeeded. Su Xiao took a deep breath. No need to think about it; he must go for +10.

"Hey, come and see, someone is going for +10."

A loud shout came from behind Su Xiao. He frowned and looked back.

That was a round-faced little fatty. The little fatty had a huge voice. After his shout, most of the Equipment Strengthening Hall could hear it.

Several Contractors walked over quickly, while some Contractors didn't move; how much others strengthened had nothing to do with them.

Ignoring the little fatty, Su Xiao chose to strengthen +10.

The equipment strengthening machine roared. This strengthening was different from the past, with greater momentum and more cumbersome operations.

A full ten minutes passed, and the equipment strengthening machine was still operating. Some Contractors nearby couldn't wait and left one after another.

Twenty minutes passed, and the equipment strengthening machine was still running. Su Xiao felt a bit uneasy in his heart. This thing wouldn't be broken, would it?

"Woof."

Xiang Bubu Wang barked loudly, and the equipment strengthening machine suddenly stopped operating, which gave Xiang Bubu Wang a fright.

Hiss!

Thick steam sprayed out. In the white steam, Su Xiao vaguely saw a deep dark purple light.

【Zhan Long Shan +10 successful. Do you wish to continue strengthening?】

It succeeded, it really succeeded.

Su Xiao, who was always unlucky, had actually strengthened a +10 dark purple weapon today. What a rare thing this was.

A slightly crazy idea appeared: whether to continue strengthening.

'I can do it.'

This thought lingered in his mind, but after hesitating for a moment, Su Xiao shook his head.

The 【Phantom Demon Stone】 hadn't shattered and could be taken out of the equipment strengthening machine and used for future strengthening.

Moreover, after Zhan Long Shan improved to a higher quality, the strengthening level would decrease, and it would need to be strengthened again then.

Strengthening +10 was enough to deal with most situations, and the success rate of strengthening +11 was reduced exponentially, only 6%, and the success rate of strengthening +12 was 1%.

Taking out Zhan Long Shan and the 【Phantom Demon Stone】, the 【Phantom Demon Stone】 was carefully put away by Su Xiao.

Holding Zhan Long Shan in his hand, dark light occasionally flashed on the edge of Zhan Long Shan.

He slashed the air once, and a sharp sound of breaking air came, leaving a faint purple light in the air. This was the most significant feature of strengthening +10.

Checking the attributes of Zhan Long Shan, Su Xiao's pupils contracted slightly.

Zhan Long Shan +10 (Sharpness 0%)

Origin: Shadow of the Law Destroyer

Quality: Dark Purple

Durability: 91/91

Attack Power: 84~134 (Increased by 10~12 points)

Equipment Requirement: Inheritor of the Shadow of the Law Destroyer

Supreme Sharpness Effect 1: Sharpness +11

Equipment Effect: Shadow Dance Break (Passive): Ignore 25% of the enemy's defense. After slashing an enemy, reduce the enemy's healing effect by 40%, the effect lasts for five minutes. (Reduced healing effects include: use of recovery items, healing skills, etc.)

+5 Attached Effect: Armor Penetration increased

+8 Attached Effect: Sharpness +2

+10 Attached Effect: Penetration increased, Sharpness +4.

Rating: 210 (Increased by 30 points)

Introduction: Loss, Meeting, Fighting Together, Rebirth, Growth, Legend.

Price: Cannot be traded.

After strengthening +10, Zhan Long Shan's sharpness increased, and more importantly, the Shadow Dance Break ability underwent a qualitative change.

Ignoring defense, significantly reducing healing effects.

Although the ability was simpler than before, the effect was several levels stronger.

Su Xiao sheathed Zhan Long Shan and headed straight for the Arena. He wanted to try how strong the effect of the current Zhan Long Shan was.

Ten minutes later, Su Xiao arrived at the Arena.

【You have entered the Arena, please choose a mode.】

【Arena Mode / Spectator Mode.】

Annotations appeared below.

Spectator Mode: Can watch other Contractors compete, costs 5 Paradise Coins per hour, can choose to watch matches.

Ongoing matches: 8,354.

If you want to watch the top 100 Arena competitions, it costs 30 Paradise Coins per hour.

If you want to watch the top 10 Arena competitions, it costs 100 Paradise Coins per hour.

If you want to watch the top 3 Arena competitions, it costs 300 Paradise Coins per hour.

"Choose Arena Mode."

【Arena Mode is divided into 【Individual Battle】 and 【Team Battle】.】

Individual Battle is 1V1 mode, Team Battle is 10V10 mode, and the two ranking mechanisms will be calculated separately.

Su Xiao chose Individual Battle, and matching began.

【Currently allocating ranking for the Hunter, current ranking 49,506th (Second-tier ranking). (This ranking has nothing to do with the Hunter's strength, but is based on the number of times the Hunter participates in the Arena and the outcome.)】

【Please actively participate in the Arena. The top 10 in the Arena will be awarded special rewards (different from first-tier rewards).】

Because the ranking was relatively low, Su Xiao didn't wait long.

【Matching successful!】

Su Xiao disappeared from the rest chamber. When his vision recovered, he was already standing on an arena platform. The arena platform was over a hundred meters in diameter, surrounded by tiered spectator seats, and there were thousands of people sitting in the spectator seats.

The second-tier Arena was indeed different from the first-tier; there were so many spectators even at a ranking of around 50,000th.

Ignoring the shouts and discussions of the spectators, Su Xiao drew Zhan Long Shan at his waist and looked at his opponent. It was a female mage. From the violent fire elements around the other party, one could guess that this was a fire mage.

"Did I get it wrong? A +10 dark purple weapon?"

The female mage's mouth twitched. She recognized the quality and strengthening level of the weapon in Su Xiao's hand.

"Razor."

Su Xiao instantly rushed in front of the female mage, and a sharp blade light slashed down.

Wrote three chapters, but wasn't satisfied with the last one, so I deleted it, so there are only two updates today. Sorry, Feiwen is standing straight waiting to be beaten.
