Chapter 136: Pet
wtf
Andre and Bai Lang, following Li Cheng as he cosplayed as a Pea Shooter, felt as if thunder rolled overhead, their souls aching with a sense of genre-shattering discomfort.
They could also see that Master Pi Fu was exploiting the rule that "customers may consume food" to bypass the restriction that "food turns to ash immediately after leaving the food shop."
The question was, how? Had he specially learned a Gluttony skill, appearing human but actually being Star-Kabii?
From a normal human perspective, it was impossible—but Li Cheng had Huiyu.
When he jumped behind the stage, he summoned Huiyu, transformed her into liquid metal, and swallowed a portion of it.
Unlike liquid metal robots in real-world fiction, such as the Terminator T-1000, T-X, or T-3000, Huiyu had no central processor; every droplet of her liquid metal possessed information processing, data storage, and program execution capabilities.
She could split like a slime into many pieces, all clones sharing a single consciousness, and later recombine into herself.
Unfortunately, the computational power of Huiyu's clones correlated directly with their volume.
The smaller the clone, the smaller its "brain capacity."
Thus, at this stage, she couldn't split into eighteen versions—leaving one mini-Huiyu to do homework while the other seventeen mini-Huiyus indulged in eating, drinking, playing, and living in drunken oblivion.
She could only sufferingly keep her main body writing homework.
Truly admirable, truly admirable.
Back to the point: Li Cheng swallowed a portion of liquid metal, causing it to adhere to the inner wall of his stomach.
As he swallowed large quantities of rice balls, the liquid metal in his stomach, following a pre-set program, physically compressed the rice balls—then spat them out when needed, achieving the effect of cosplaying as a Pea Shooter.
But to Andre and Bai Lang, the sight was undeniably horrifying.
"This way."
Li Cheng led the breakout, using up the last rice ball; he fired a grappling hook at a streetlamp and swung in an arc to land before a tunnel entrance.
Beneath this Disney park lay a complex tunnel network—extensively interconnected, brightly lit, filled with pipelines supplying water and electricity to the entire area. It also housed staff changing rooms, rest areas, and allowed employees to travel by vehicle or on foot unseen by visitors, reaching any location within the park.
"."
Bai Lang hesitated slightly—the tunnel was buried underground; if surrounded by the doll army, there would be no escape.
But the air raid siren still blared noisily; seeing Master Pi Fu charge ahead into the tunnel, Bai Lang gritted his teeth and followed.
Li Cheng, with his Multi-Brain Domain Method activated, scanned the tunnel map on the wall and memorized it instantly. He swiftly eliminated the scattered dolls inside, heading straight for the staff rest room, smashing the locked door with an elbow strike, and began searching rapidly.
"What are you looking for?" Bai Lang couldn't help asking.
"The staff handbook."
Li Cheng rummaged through cabinets, saying: "The dolls we killed on the surface had remnants of human food—hot dogs, sandwiches—in their stomachs. All non-human dolls were transformed from humans—both park employees and outside visitors."
The visitor rules documented all taboos and regulations, meaning the park operators were fully aware of the park's anomalies.
To keep the amusement park running, they must have trained their staff and issued staff handbooks or employee guidelines."
As he spoke, Li Cheng knocked over a pile of debris—and there, behind it on the wall, he spotted a blue-and-white sign.
【Disney Amusement Park Employee Code of Conduct】 【Dear Employee, we sincerely thank you for your contributions to the park family and to all humanity. Although the park provides each employee with generous benefits and comprehensive accidental death insurance, for the sake of your family, you must absolutely, without exception, follow the following behavioral guidelines】
【1. This park has only four zones: Mickey Avenue, Dream Garden, Tomorrowland, and Pirate Bay—there is no "Fantasy Castle." If you see a castle, stay away and warn visitors not to go near it.】
【2. Strictly forbidden to remove the costume before sunset.】
【3. When the air raid siren sounds, try to ignore it and continue performing according to your character's persona.】
【4. If you find a colleague with no eye sockets, do not announce it. Find a blue-uniformed security guard in the park, or lead the creature into Pirate Bay for the crocodile to handle. Rest assured: dolls without eye sockets will not attack you.】
【5. Each princess costume has a serial number. After every performance, it must be locked in a safe. No one may wear a princess costume outside of performances. No one may board a float wearing a princess costume during a show.】
【6. If a princess costume employee sees a princess doll (usually a 80cm cloth doll) that others cannot see, ignore all its actions and maintain graceful politeness until the princess doll vanishes.】
【7. This rule is for visitors only: If you violate the visitor rules or fail to leave the park before sunset, and follow the visitor guide to reach the staff rest room, you have been granted temporary employee status. Put on a costume and follow the above four rules until further notice.】
Compared to the visitor rules, the employee code was much shorter, with the last four rules being the most critical.
"Wearing the costume grants temporary employee status—and you won't be attacked by dolls without eye sockets."
Bai Lang glanced at the corner of the room, where several costumes were piled in cardboard boxes. Beside them stood a massive safe—presumably the one mentioned in Rule 5, meant for storing princess costumes.
"This rule must be meant for situations like this—when you're being chased by the doll army with nowhere to run, you can put on the costume and become an employee. But whether your visitor card still works after becoming an employee… that's uncertain."
Li Cheng's attention focused entirely on the rules concerning "princesses." He thought rapidly—and, before Andre and Bai Lang's stunned gazes, he extended two fingers into his mouth and pulled out a silver slime.
The silver slime bounced wildly in Li Cheng's hand, emitting a shrill screech: "Hnnnghhhhhhhhh!"
Bai Lang's face turned pale; even the usually calm Andre couldn't help asking, "What is this?!"
"Uh… my pet."
Li Cheng feigned calm, picked up the silver slime, and placed it against the safe's keyhole.
"Pet? My god!"
The silver slime—or Huiyu's clone—screamed shrilly, its brain capacity and intelligence drastically reduced, repeating only the most memorable phrases from its memory bank: "Aminos, dare you fight me? Ever seen what a real gangster looks like? I'll make you fly if you show off!"
"Can you be quiet?" Li Cheng's eyebrow twitched; he lowered his voice.
But the silver slime grew even more energetic, bouncing with dramatic flair: "Quiet? You want to gag me? Not letting me speak? I wanted to stay silent, but what if I'm the only one left? Protection, final episode, too bold—I typed a lot but deleted it all. We're all trying hard to live!"
Huiyu's clone's embarrassing antics made everyone's toes curl in shame. Li Cheng cleared his throat and threatened: "You're not doing your homework and just surfing the internet every day, huh? If you don't behave, I'll take away your phone when we get back."
Faced with the threat, the Huiyu clone finally understood, muttering, "Never been treated this badly—not once since I was a kid!"
And obediently transformed into a key shape, unlocking the safe.
