Chapter 137: Knowledge
Inside the safe, four different princess costumes were stacked: Snow White, Ariel, Pocahontas, and Rapunzel. Each costume was stored in a vacuum-sealed compression bag.
This was actually unreasonable; costumes like these, used frequently, were typically hung in ventilated, temperature- and humidity-controlled rooms. Putting them in vacuum-sealed bags would cause wrinkles and slight deformation of the fabric.
When opened, each costume had a card hanging from the back of the neck, resembling an employee badge, bearing the image of a young, beautiful woman and a code starting with either NIE or DNI.
Li Cheng squinted and said: "In the real world, Earth has six Disney parks. Two are in the United States, one in Tokyo, Japan, one in Paris, France, and two in the Eastern great power. Spain is not included."
Andre frowned slightly. "Spain?"
"These are Spanish identification numbers. NIE is the foreigner identification number, composed of two Spanish letters before and after seven Arabic digits; DNI is the Spanish citizen ID number, composed of seven digits and one Spanish letter."
Li Cheng casually explained, then took the 【Ten-Eyed Communication Earpiece】 from his backpack and put it on.
You know this?
Bai Lang's eyelid twitched. Though all players were full-time participants with no financial worries, most spent their free time training desperately—who had the leisure to memorize other countries' ID numbers?
"You don't get it? In puzzle-type scenario missions, certain obscure facts can save your life."
Li Cheng smiled confidently. "For example, giraffes sleep only two hours a day on average; the driest place on Earth is the Atacama Desert in Chile; pouring feces in your room at 1 a. m. lets you see unclean things."
? Didn't one of these obscure facts sneak in something strange?
Ignoring Bai Lang's pained expression, after a brief delay, the Ten-Eyed Communication Earpiece finally connected.
"This is the Special Affairs Bureau's Ten-Eye Room. We're not happy to serve you."
From the earpiece came the tired, lazy voice of a young, clear female clerk—like a down-on-her-luck employee forced to work seven straight days without overtime pay, every word dripping with resentment.
"Hello, this is Master Pi Fu."
Li Cheng cleared his throat. He had previously spoken with Yuan Zhixia, who had explained how to use the communication earpiece—it connected to the Special Affairs Bureau's customer service in the Killing Field's Ten-Eye Room, equivalent to opening a divine eye.
"Oh, it's you."
The customer service clerk perked up. "What's the matter?"
Li Cheng quickly summarized the situation and requested she check the real-world Spanish identification records.
Soon, the clerk—or rather, Yuan Zhixia's cousin Yuan Donglian—found the answer: "In the real world, Spain does have these four ID numbers, but the records show they don't match your description."
Spanish ID cards use one number per person, lifelong and unchangeable. This finally confirmed: this Disney park has no connection to Earth—it's almost certainly in a fictional world or parallel world.
"By the way, Su Jie just contacted me. He's still alive. Should I connect you?"
"Yes." Li Cheng hadn't expected Su Jie to survive that situation—he immediately nodded in agreement.
"Hello," Su Jie's voice was extremely weak. "Master Pi Fu? I'm in the security office."
At this moment, he was crouched beneath a desk, pale-faced, his right arm severed at the shoulder, wrapped in layer upon layer of blood-soaked bandages, clutching a cylindrical glass jar filled with pale green liquid and Ding Shaoxia's closed-eyed head.
The head floated and sank in the green liquid, its eyelids occasionally twitching, indicating ongoing bioelectric signals—there was still a sliver of hope for rescue.
"Cough—cough—cough—" Su Jie burst into violent coughing, his expression agonizing.
When the air raid siren sounded, he couldn't save Ding Shaoxia—he watched helplessly as the doll army smashed the phone booth and tore her body to shreds.
Su Jie sacrificed one arm to recover Ding Shaoxia's head and barely escaped. Using the concealment skill provided by the Bureau, he hid and fled all the way to the security office.
The room was empty, littered with debris. Bullet holes were embedded in the walls; dried blood stains remained on the floor—all hinting at past chaos.
"You're already in the security office? Perfect. Look around for any employee rules—format should be similar to the visitor rules."
Master Pi Fu's voice came through the earpiece. Su Jie nodded, mustered his strength, and silently crawled out from under the desk.
Though he didn't understand why the other had a Ten-Eyed Communication Earpiece (usually issued only to internal members and friendly Bureau organizations), now was not the time to ask.
Su Jie carefully placed the glass jar containing Ding Shaoxia's head on the ground, then silently searched the security office for the employee rules.
"Found it."
Pulling back a torn, opaque curtain, a blue-and-white sign appeared, with the words 【Security Rules】 at the top.
The first few rules of the Security Rules matched those of the Employee Rules and Visitor Rules, but the later rules differed.
【6. When visitors enter, inspect every bag, photograph and register any princess dolls found, especially noting the color of each doll part. When visitors leave, verify those carrying princess dolls. If extra dolls are found, or if doll colors differ from those registered, place them in the safe.】
【7. Abnormal princess dolls are strategic resources. When the air raid siren sounds or a patrol float appears with a princess character, hold the doll and lure it to the Fantasy Castle.】
【8. Do not discuss anything regarding the "Fantasy Castle." If a colleague initiates such a topic and praises the amusement rides in that area, immediately stop the conversation and guide them to the phone booth.】
【9. While patrolling the park during the day, constantly observe roadside human-shaped signs. If a visitor begins growing hair, take them to the phone booth. If their friends or family object, use reasons like "prize draw events."】
【10. If you find a colleague wearing a costume with eye holes who refuses to communicate, assist them in completing four amusement rides after sunset and park closure, then help them remove the costume and exit the park. If you find a "colleague" wearing a costume with no eye holes, take them to the Pirate Bay area and hand them over to the crocodile.】
【11. If the air raid siren continues sounding, the worst scenario has occurred—the Fantasy Castle has appeared and will remain permanently. All security personnel must immediately proceed to the Fantasy Castle and manually shut off the air raid siren. Any form of force may be used during this time.】
