Chapter 326: What Are We Waiting for If We Don't Run?
"Huo La, are we just leaving like this? Ignoring the Rayquaza corpse over at the Yingyue Battlefield?" Xiao Zhao kept up the pace with Huo La's steps, constantly looking back, gazing at the Yingyue Battlefield receding farther behind.
The massive black Dragon corpse remained clearly visible, lying silently atop Shan Gang; even from a distance one could feel its dead, hushed aura.
"What are we waiting for by not running? Waiting to get tangled in trouble again?" Huo La didn't look back, his steps grew even faster, his tone full of fatigue and urgency, with a hint of unmistakable dread. "Besides, Ming Yao is there on that side; I've already briefed him on everything that should and shouldn't be said."
"Captain Majamu and Star Moon Squad Leader have probably already received the news and are on their way; it's not our place to meddle here. Let's hurry and leave; we can't stay any longer."
Huo La was truly scared.
The Yingyue Battlefield seemed like a vortex of trouble; ever since arriving, mishaps kept coming one after another.
He vaguely felt that everything was converging on him; each extra second of lingering added another ounce of danger.
Especially now, the so‑called "system" inside his body grew increasingly unreliable; the memory of it frantically siphoning Spacetime Energy and remaining inert at crucial moments was still vivid.
At present, his sole thought was to gather all of Arceus's Stone Tablets as quickly as possible and meet Arceus.
As for what follows—life or death—he could only leave it to fate; at least that's better than dying here tangled in unknown perils.
Xiao Zhao watched Huo La's slightly hurried silhouette, said nothing more, and silently quickened his pace, staying close behind.
Their figures gradually vanished into the deep forest, heading toward Chunbai Dongtu.
Meanwhile, Wang Luo stood beneath a large tree, his expression unusually solemn, brows knotted, his tone tinged with uncertainty as he asked A Song beside him, "Did you see clearly? Is it really a black giant Dragon? No mistake?"
A Song hung his head, evidently still recovering from the shock.
Beside him, A Zhu spoke with a hint of impatience, yet a trace of reverence: "A corpse that huge—how could we miss it? The pitch‑black scales, the shattered head, even from afar they're crystal clear."
"Exactly because we saw it so clearly, we rushed back," A Mei added, her tone carrying a hint of relief. "Members of the Pearl Team, Diamond Team, and Galaxy Team are all gathering there; the crowd is swelling. If we stay, we'll be spotted sooner or later and end up causing trouble."
Wang Luo remained silent for a long while, his aura growing heavier, a flash of profound contemplation passing through his eyes.
"Understood," he said slowly, his voice low and subtly weighty.
He turned his gaze toward the modest wooden house nearby—Dr. Laventon was still trapped inside, and the Origin Ball matter remained unresolved.
He sighed lightly, then faced A Song, A Zhu and A Mei, his tone turning serious, with a hint of unyielding admonition: "Just a reminder—no matter what you're thinking, stay in line for a while."
"Unless something truly urgent arises, absolutely do not provoke the Diamond Team, Galaxy Team, or Pearl Team, and certainly do not touch that Dragon corpse at the Yingyue Battlefield."
"This Hisui has already seen some unusual events," Wang Luo's gaze drifted again to the distance, his eyes full of secrecy. "Unknown dangers are closing in; a single misstep could spell endless ruin. You'd better watch yourselves and not cause me trouble."
A Song, A Zhu and A Mei exchanged glances; though puzzled, they also sensed Wang Luo's gravity.
For someone who could, with a flick of a finger, raise their power beyond even the Diamond and Pearl Teams' reach, they dared not defy him, all nodding in agreement.
Wang Luo said no more, turned and walked toward the wooden house, his silhouette appearing somewhat heavy.
In the conference room of the Galaxy Team Headquarters building, sunlight streamed through the windows, fierce and bright.
Majamu, Xingyue, Gangshi and Zhu Bei sat around a rectangular wooden table, a Hisui terrain map spread on it, marked with countless locations, the cramped handwriting betraying a hint of haste.
As Xingyue pressed a hand to his forehead, speaking of the progress in searching the mountains for Dr. Laventon, a rapid knocking suddenly rang out—"Dong dong dong"—shattering the room's silence, urgent and heavy, leaving no room for delay.
Xingyue frowned, a flash of impatience crossing her brows—she despised being interrupted during meetings, yet the knocking was unusually urgent, unlike a routine report.
She instinctively glanced at Majamu beside her, saw him nod slightly, then said, "Come in."
The conference room door was thrown open, and three figures rushed in, their steps staggered and breaths unsteady.
Leading them were Galaxy Team members, followed closely by Pearl Team and Diamond Team members; all three wore exhausted expressions, clearly having sprinted here.
Xingyue's already furrowed brows tightened further, a trace of solemnity flashing in her eyes.
The simultaneous, hasty arrival of the three teams was no small matter; it surely meant a major incident that had rattled the League of the three teams.
Majamu was the first to speak, his tone steady yet unable to hide a hint of urgency: "What happened? Did Huo La and the others encounter danger?"
The three teams exchanged glances, hesitation evident on their faces; finally a Galaxy Team member inhaled deeply, stepped forward, and reported, "Captain, they aren't in danger. Huo La and Xiao Zhao have already set out, heading toward Chunbai Dongtu. It's just…"
"Just what?" Majamu twisted his brow, his tone instantly stern. "Speak plainly, no beating around the bush!"
"It's just that over at the Yingyue Battlefield, a massive black Dragon fell from the sky, and after hitting the ground it lost all breath, now a corpse."
The Galaxy Team member spoke at a rapid pace, disbelief still on his face: "The news spread quickly; now the members of our three teams stationed nearby are already rushing to the Yingyue Battlefield, fearing any further mishap."
"What!?"
As soon as the words ended, Gangshi slammed the table hard, stood up, eyes wide, his face awash with incredulous shock: "A black Dragon? Yingyue Battlefield? How could a Dragon suddenly fall from the sky! What Pokemon could be that massive?!"
Facing Gangshi's urgency, the Galaxy Team member quickly lowered his head, speaking hesitantly: "To the captains, Huo La was present then; he said… this Pokemon is called Rayquaza."
"Rayquaza?" Zhu Bei whispered, repeating the name, a rare look of shock on her face. She shook her head slowly, her tone full of doubt and confusion, "In all the Pokemon chronicles I've perused, none record such a colossal Dragon‑type. Moreover, it fell from the sky, not native to Hisui… Could it be a Pokemon that breached from another Time and Space?"
"Huo La said that's not the case," the Galaxy Team member hurriedly added, his speech slightly faster, relaying Huo La's details: "He said this Rayquaza has always lived in the Universe, not from another Time and Space, but for unknown reasons it suddenly fell here and became a corpse."
He paused, then continued his report: "Before leaving, Huo La had already briefed the basic situation of this Pokemon. Ming Yao is still at the Yingyue Battlefield, coordinating with Mu Chun Field Master and Beishang Field Master to handle the site, and also examining the Rayquaza corpse to see if they can find…"
"Then what are we waiting for!"
Majamu rose slowly, his aura growing steadier, his tone unyieldingly firm as he issued orders: "No time to lose; we set out for the Yingyue Battlefield at once."
