Chapter 371: Whatever his goal, it

~6 min read 1,129 words

The Time-Space Dual Gods' battle raised towering waves over Galar Land, and Qila Diena roared ferociously within the Space-time Rift, shaking earth and mountain.

The already shattered sky grew ever gloomier, like a repeatedly torn rag, covering every inch of land.

Huo La looked up, staring fixedly at the horizon—Di Ya Lu Ka and Pa Lu Qi Ya constantly interlaced in the sky, the golden Roar of Time tearing the air, the blue Spacial Rend cutting through the clouds; each collision turned into a sky‑wide turbulence, ripping the surrounding Time and Space into fragments.

That was a power capable of rewriting the World Rules, a terrifying presence that even his data eye marked as "unresistable".

"What are you thinking? The matter before you is not something you can solve." Dai Ouqixisi's voice rang clearly, with a rare hint of calm, "If you wish, I can take you out of this world."

Huo La remained silent, offering no reply.

He knew Dai Ouqixisi's strength all too well—within its dimension, even if all of Galar Land and the world were annihilated, it would not be affected in the slightest.

The "I will take you away" line was already the greatest goodwill it could offer.

But he did not move.

His gaze still locked onto the dueling Dual Gods above; though he could do nothing, he stubbornly stood at the very center of the disaster.

"Huo La, someone wants to see you." Suddenly a voice sounded behind him, heavy in tone, instantly breaking his thoughts.

Huo La turned his head and saw Ming Yao standing at the tent entrance, his face taut, brows heavy with seriousness, clearly an unusual visitor.

Huo La's brows furrowed slightly, his mind full of doubt: at a time when everyone is swamped by the Time-Space Dual Gods' war, who would deliberately seek him out?

He suppressed his surprise, asked nothing, merely gave Ming Yao a slight nod, silently following behind him toward the stronghold's depths.

In the largest hall of the stronghold, the atmosphere was so oppressive it stole one's breath.

The high‑ranking members of the Pearl Team, Diamond Team, and Galaxy Team all gathered here, forming a circle, faces solemn, eyes sharp as blades.

In the circle's center, a familiar figure stood with his back to the doorway; hearing footsteps, he slowly turned, his gaze landing on the entering Huo La, a hint of a profound smile on his face.

It was Wang Luo!

This Wang Luo still wore the Ginkgo Guild attire, a crisp outfit, a faint smile at his lips, demeanor unhurried, as if the surrounding high‑rankers and their predatory gazes meant nothing to him.

"Yo, Huo La, long time no see." Wang Luo slowly raised his hand, waving at Huo La, his tone breezy, as if it were just an ordinary reunion of old friends, without any hint of the surrounding panic.

Huo La's brows knit tighter, the aura around him instantly darkened; he stared fixedly at Wang Luo, inhaled deeply, suppressing the surge of anger and doubt within, and in a solemn voice asked word by word, "You… what exactly do you want?!"

Wang Luo lifted both hands lightly, waved, his tone still breezy yet with a hint of unchallengeable composure: "Don't be so nervous; I've come here in person myself, what else could I do?"

As the words fell, he lifted his hand, unzipped his backpack, and took out a whole, translucent, faintly golden Jade; with a flick of his wrist, the Jade traced a gentle arc and was steadily tossed toward Huo La.

Then Wang Luo's smile gradually faded; he inhaled deeply, his expression unusually heavy, and slowly said, "To be honest, this situation is both within and beyond my expectations. At this point, I can only come to you."

Huo La instinctively raised his hand, securely catching the Jade; his fingertips felt its warm smoothness, and before he could examine it closely, he heard the latter half of Wang Luo's words, causing his already furrowed brows to knit even tighter.

He looked down at the Jade he held, his gaze fixed on its patterns and sheen; his pupils suddenly contracted, a trace of unmistakable shock flashing in his eyes, and he said, "This is the Adamant Orb!"

Wang Luo lightly nodded, gave no denial, then lifted his eyes, his gaze slowly sweeping over the Three Teams High‑Rank present, and in a calm tone said, "Everyone, could you give me and Huo La a bit of private space? There are things I wish to discuss with him alone."

"Impossible!"

"Dream on!"

Gangshi and Zhu Bei immediately voiced their objection.

Wang Luo's composed smile faded a bit, he let out a light sigh, turned his gaze to Huo La, and with a hint of earnestness said, "Please persuade them; I truly have important matters to tell you, concerning the safety of all Galar Land, and cannot be delayed."

As soon as the words ended, he again unzipped his backpack, pulling out a Stone Tablet that glimmered with an antiquated sheen; its surface bore obscure, indecipherable patterns, exuding an ancient, mysterious aura.

He lifted the tablet, gently placing it on the nearby table, producing a soft "tap" that broke the stalemate in the hall.

Huo La's gaze was instantly drawn to the tablet on the table; his pupils narrowed slightly, his eyes suddenly brightened, and with a tone of certainty and relief he said, "So this final Stone Tablet is indeed in your hands?"

Wang Luo lightly nodded, a faint curve lifting his mouth, and with a hint of playfulness said, "From your tone, you guessed it long ago?"

"Hmm, I just never had proof, so I couldn't confirm." Huo La withdrew his gaze, slowly turned toward the Three Teams High‑Rank standing nearby, his expression solemn, and in a firm tone said, "Captain Gangshi, Captain Zhu Bei, Captain Majamu, please take your people out for a moment so I can speak with him alone."

Their gazes converged on Huo La's face, full of confusion and worry.

Majamu stepped forward, his expression grave as he pressed, "Huo La, are you sure? This Wang Luo is inscrutable, pulling strings behind the scenes, stirring Galar Land into chaos; we must not trust him lightly!"

"Yes, Huo La!" Xiao Zhao quickly added, his tone urgent, eyes full of worry, "He's too cunning; who knows what tricks he'll play when he talks to you alone. We can't let you face him by yourself!"

Huo La inhaled deeply, slowly raised his hand, signaling everyone to stay calm, and in a steady voice said, "It's fine. Since he dared to appear here alone, without any aid, he likely never intended to leave easily. Moreover, solving Galar Land's crisis is the priority now; whatever his purpose, it's worth me trying."
