Chapter 370: If You Go There Now, You Won

~6 min read 1,083 words

The Gyarados's back was broad and steady; Huo La sat upright upon it, his expression as heavy as if a layer of frost covered his face, his brows twisted into a knot, and the unease in his heart grew ever stronger.

At his ears, from the Space-time Rift above TianQiong, Kyurem's roars rose and fell, violent and frantic, each one shaking his eardrums.

From the direction of the Tian Guan Mountain Foothills, a deep roar also came continuously, bearing the majesty of an ancient Shenming.

The roars intertwined, unsettling his mind, and the burning inside him surged like tide after tide.

Just yesterday he had seen Regigigas at Snow Peak Temple and had not yet figured out how to pass the trial; today such events unfolded in succession— the Time‑Space Dual Gods awakened, Kyurem went berserk.

All this was too coincidental, too unlikely to be chance; it seemed as if someone were arranging and directing from the shadows, matching his moves step by step, refusing to grant him even a moment's respite.

That invisible force was like a pair of unseen hands, pushing him forward, allowing no hesitation, no pause to catch his breath.

Just as Huo La was lost in thought, his mind full of doubts and unease, a terrifying wave of pressure suddenly swept from ahead, unstoppable like a bamboo split, bearing a destructive, world‑shattering force.

The Gyarados's massive body was struck by the wave in an instant, its form shaking violently, twisting left and right, nearly flipping Huo La off.

The jungle below suffered even worse; where the wave passed, ancient trees snapped at the waist, vines were torn to shreds, the ground was gouged into deep ravines, a scene of utter devastation.

Huo La hurriedly steadied himself, clutching tightly onto the Gyarados's dorsal fin.

As the wave gradually faded, two towering figures finally appeared in view, standing far apart, each surrounded by a pale blue or violet aura— they were Zekrom and Reshiram!

Below the two Divine Treasure Pokémon, two figures each held a Jade, likewise poised in a tense standoff, echoing the duel of the gods above.

"A Song and A Zhu…" Huo La lowered his head toward below, his tone tinged with surprise, then sternly ordered the Gyarados beneath him, "Come a little closer, keep your distance, don't get drawn into their battlefield."

The Gyarados let out a low growl, flapped its wings to adjust direction, and slowly approached the standoff area, its flight gentle, lest it disturb the situation below.

Huo La, holding the Gyarados's dorsal fin, fixed his gaze on the ground; as his eyes swept the battlefield, they suddenly halted— behind a massive rock, a figure was faintly leaning.

It was A Mei; her body was riddled with wounds and blood, hair tangled against her face, eyes tightly shut, she slumped weakly against the rock, already unconscious, a pitiful sight.

After an unknown time, A Mei slowly opened her eyes amid a mild sting; above her was the makeshift tent ceiling, her wounds had been simply treated, but her hands were tightly bound to the bedside, unable to move.

A Galaxy Team member caring for her, seeing her awaken, immediately rose and hurried out of the tent to report.

Soon after, Huo La entered with Zhu Bei, Gangshi and the captains of the other three teams and senior officials.

A Mei looked up, saw the scene before her, her heart sank, instantly realizing the trouble— besides Huo La, the core members of the Pearl Team and Diamond Team were almost all present.

Zhu Bei looked at her, his tone tinged with complexity, and was the first to ask, since A Mei had once been a member of the Pearl Team; as its captain, he naturally had the right: "A Mei, what exactly happened?"

A Mei's gaze flicked past Zhu Bei without reply; instead she asked urgently, panic in her eyes: "Where are my elder sister and second sister?"

Huo La stood nearby, watching her anxious expression, and spoke slowly, his voice calm yet heavy: "When I rescued you, A Song and A Zhu had already been seized by Zekrom and Reshiram. The sounds you hear outside now are the Time‑Space Dual Gods battling."

"What?!" A Mei's face changed abruptly, she thrashed violently, her wrists reddened by the ropes, her tone urgent and agitated, "Release me! Quickly release me, I must go save them!"

"No." Xingyue stepped forward, expression solemn, and firmly refused, "Until you tell us the full story, we cannot release you—this concerns the safety of all Hisui and the lives of A Song and A Zhu."

A Mei's struggling eased, her aura weakening slightly; after a moment of silence, the burning in her eyes gave way to fatigue and bewilderment, and she spoke slowly, her voice hoarse: "We took the Great White Treasure Jade and Great Diamond Ore obtained from the Pearl Team and Galaxy Team, and according to Wang Luo's account, we found the two shrines deep in the Tian Guan Mountain Foothills. After placing the Jade on the shrines, the two Divine Treasure Pokémon were summoned."

She paused, recalling the scene, her gaze distant: "After that, my elder sister and second sister seemed to lose their souls, numbly walked over and took the two Jade. After that… I knew nothing; I woke up here."

"That Wang Luo again!" Gangshi heard this, fury blazing, his fists pounding together with a crisp crack, his tone full of malice, "Where is he? Speak!"

A Mei shook her head, her tone tinged with helplessness and confusion: "I don't know where he is; he never tells us what he's planning."

The others, hearing this, exchanged glances, and the tent fell into silence.

Wang Luo's whereabouts remained a mystery, yet he was pulling the strings behind the scenes, weighing heavily on everyone's hearts.

A Mei looked at the silent crowd, then raised her eyes to Xingyue, her tone pleading: "I've said everything I know, no concealment. Let me out; I must go save A Song and A Zhu."

"Sigh." Ma Jia Mu let out a soft sigh, his expression complex as he gestured, ordering the nearby teammate, "Untie her."

The Galaxy Team member beside him immediately stepped forward and untied the ropes binding A Mei.

Huo La spoke in time, his voice grave and admonishing: "Even if we free you, we still can't save them now. Zekrom and Reshiram's power is too great; if you go now, you won't save them, you'll only die in vain."
