Chapter 376: Future Sight
Deoxys twisted its lithe body, a faint blue glow rippling around it, wrapped in bone‑chilling cold; a sharp, white‑misted gust of frigid wind instantly formed and howled toward Kyurem.
The Freezing Wind, gathered with full force, each current bearing a bone‑chilling chill.
The sharp Wind Blade had not yet touched Kyurem's body when a thin layer of ice spread through the surrounding space, fine ice cracks fanning out in the void, clearly frozen by the cold.
Huo La's eyes flashed with light, and he felt a secret joy: the effect of the Freezing Wind was even better than expected.
He had only intended to use the move to hinder Kyurem's motion, but now even the space could be partially frozen—an unexpected boon, allowing the subsequent plan to proceed more smoothly.
Before he could think further, the opposing Kyurem had already reacted.
Shadows around it suddenly coalesced, countless sharp stone shards materialized out of thin air, raining down on the incoming Freezing Wind—this was the Sharp Stone Attack.
Huo La's eyes hardened, his brows furrowing: "That reaction speed, that timing… could it have been trained by Wang Luo before?"
The Kyurem before him moved in a way no Wild Pokemon would: moves linked smoothly, timing precise, each step showing methodical form, clearly the result of deliberate training, not a random attack.
"Deoxys, use Future Sight!" Huo La decided on the spot, his voice deep as he ordered.
Deoxys, though momentarily puzzled, immediately activated Psychic, a faint violet aura flaring around it as a Psychic Field silently spread.
The next second, the doubt vanished from its eyes, a clear understanding dawning; without further command, its Psychic surged, a massive bolt of Thunder gathered in its palm and then slammed down onto Kyurem's head—this was the Thunder move.
The lightning, bearing world‑shattering force, struck Kyurem's crown hard, sending its lofty head crashing down; its black scales smoked slightly from the burn, and the storm circled its head for a long while before fading.
Yet even after absorbing the fatal blow, the ferocity in Kyurem's eyes did not wane but grew even more intense.
It suddenly lifted its head, a dazzling golden light flashing atop, its massive body accelerating in an instant, roaring wind as it dived toward Deoxys—Iron Head!
"Hard Resistance to Thunder, and can counter immediately?" Huo La's heart tightened as he stared at the battle.
Fortunately Deoxys was in a speed mode, its form as swift as lightning; using that advantage it sidestepped the heavy, forceful strike, barely missing, while the Floating Island beneath trembled slightly from the impact.
But just as everyone thought the crisis was over, Huo La's voice tightened sharply: "Watch out!"
It was already a step too late.
The seemingly missed Kyurem suddenly reversed, its massive wings whipping fierce gusts that slammed hard onto Deoxys's body.
The Iron Head was only a feint; the real killing move lay hidden behind it—Dual Wingbeat!
Deoxys couldn't react in time, blasted away by the massive force, tumbling several times in the void before barely regaining its stance, its Chaonengbodong becoming chaotic.
"Hold on!" Huo La shouted urgently, "Flash Cannon!"
Deoxys instantly steadied itself, a sharp glint in its eyes; two tentacle arms crossed swiftly before its chest, a compact pale‑blue energy sphere forming instantly, and with its motion it blasted hard toward the diving Kyurem.
Kyurem, at the peak of its dive speed, had no time to alter course; the Flash Cannon struck its crown hard, accompanied by a violent explosion, black Smoke Screen instantly enveloping its body, a mournful howl echoing, and a powerful gust sweeping across the Destroyed World, causing nearby Floating Islands to tremble slightly.
"Now! Deoxys, use Ultimate Impact!" Huo La's voice rose sharply, resolve flashing in his eyes.
Deoxys's eyes flashed with fierce determination, its Psychic exploding completely, turning into a silver‑white streak that shot straight through the smoke.
"Boom—" another deafening blast rang out, mingled with Kyurem's even more agonized howl, the smoke growing ever denser.
At that moment, Huo La's figure vanished from where he stood, reappearing like a specter at the explosion's center, his palm clutching a wholly Red, glowing hot Chain, which he let descend slowly toward the heavily wounded Kyurem below.
As he fell, he landed steadily on Kyurem's massive back, and without hesitation slammed the Chain onto its scales.
The moment the Chain touched Kyurem's back, a burst of dazzling Red Light erupted, the Crimson hue standing out vividly in the gray, shattered world, instantly dispelling the surrounding gloom.
As the Red Light spread, the sky‑filled dust from the Ultimate Impact gradually cleared, and ring after ring of CrimsonChain extended from the main Chain, winding like living vines, tightly encasing Kyurem's body.
At this point, Deoxys's figure reappeared, its Chaonengbodong still chaotic, faint scars marring its wings as it panted heavily.
Fortunately the earlier Future Sight had let it anticipate parts of Huo La's plan, so the two fought in harmonious coordination without mishap.
He drew Huo La from Kyurem's back to his own front.
Now the CrimsonChain coiled tighter, layer upon layer, imprisoning Kyurem firmly at the core, the Red Light on the Chain growing ever more intense.
Kyurem, plunged into raging fury, kept emitting deafening roars, spewing dark‑purple Dragon Breath from its mouth; destructive Destruction Beam raged within the Chain's bounds, colliding and exploding, yet no matter how it struggled it could not break the Red Chain's shackles—each impact only tightened the Chain further.
Huo La stared intently at the bound Kyurem, keenly noticing that within its furious gaze lay faint, hard‑to‑detect threads of fear.
The Ghost Energy around Kyurem surged wildly like a tide in all directions, but the Chain's barrier held it firmly, forcing it to remain wholly within the Chain's confines, unable to leak even a drop.
For a moment, the CrimsonChain and Kyurem were locked in a stalemate, one desperately restraining, the other frantically struggling, and the entire Destroyed World trembled faintly with their clash.
Huo La's gaze grew heavier; if the stalemate continued, the Chain's power would wane and Kyurem might break free. He just reached back to grasp the Source Sphere when a stronger burst of Red Light erupted from the Chain, blinding him.
Simultaneously, three gentle beams of light emerged from the Red Light, drifting down beside the Chain—Ke Xi, Ai Mu Li Duo, and Ya Ke Nuo Mu, three Pokemon, each surrounded by a faint halo, radiating peaceful yet potent power.
With the three Pokemon's arrival, the previously stalled Chain seemed empowered, contracting rapidly again toward Kyurem; strands of Chain clenched its body tightly, ultimately binding Kyurem completely, preventing even a fraction of wing extension.
