Chapter 530: No Other Meaning, I Just Want
At the top floor of the Macrocom Group, the atmosphere in Luozi's private office was tranquil.
All the core personnel who had just experienced the earth‑shaking battle were present, standing quietly in the room.
Outside the window, the sky‑filled dust from the direction of the Quanguan Jingjichang could still be faintly seen; that disaster that had nearly destroyed the whole Galar still left a lingering dread.
Luozi had long shed the panic of the battlefield, regaining the composed, authoritative demeanor of a ruler.
He lifted his eyes to Huo La, his tone solemn.
"Huo La, although this incident was not deliberately provoked by me, as the true ruler of Galar now, I must thank you."
"Thank you for stepping in and saving the whole Galar."
He deliberately emphasized his status as Galar's ruler, the implication obvious: he was subtly telling Huo La that all affairs and decisions of Galar ultimately rested with him.
Huo La nodded slightly, offered no excessive courtesy, and spoke his mind directly: "Chairman Luozi, although Eternatus has been resealed, the cost of this battle was too terrible."
"Therefore I suggest that all research related to Eternatus must be halted completely. At least until the situation is fully stabilized, we must never touch it again."
Before Huo La could finish, Luozi proactively took the floor, his attitude decisive and calm: "You need not persuade me further; I understand clearly."
"This time Eternatus went berserk and completely destroyed Punch Town; tracing the root cause, the fault indeed lies with me."
He solemnly promised: "I can agree to that, as long as you are still here, I will never restart any research concerning Eternatus."
His voice paused briefly, then his tone shifted with a hint of deeper meaning: "As for everything else, I need to see the results I want."
Huo La instantly grasped his subtext and nodded silently.
At that moment, Spinel suddenly spoke up, interrupting the two.
"Chairman Luozi, since the two of you have finished your discussion, I have other matters and would like to speak with you alone."
With those words, Luozi was slightly startled, and everyone present wore puzzled expressions, unsure what secret business Spinel now had.
Luozi was the first to recover, his tone flat with a hint of wariness: "Spinel, I have already made it very clear that I will not go with you. If you seek revenge for Jibeiweng, I am ready to follow."
Huo La also turned his gaze to Spinel, awaiting his reply.
Spinel shook their head lightly, their expression calm: "I'm not that bored, breaking a promise I just made and turning around to renege. I'm here for another reason."
"What reason?" Luozi frowned slightly.
Spinel scanned everyone present and slowly said: "Could you give us a bit of private space?"
Huo La thought briefly, then rose immediately, very considerate: "Sure, you may talk. After the great battle, my Pokemon and I are indeed exhausted both body and mind, and we could use a rest."
Luozi, seeing this, turned to Olivia beside him and whispered: "Take them there, arrange a top‑tier suite, ensure soundproofing, and guarantee they can rest peacefully without anyone disturbing them."
Olivia hesitated, glanced at Spinel, then at Luozi; after receiving a confirming nod from the chairman, she stepped forward, preparing to lead Huo La's party out of the office.
As Huo La's party followed Olivia and completely left the office, the door closed softly, and the sealed room fell silent instantly.
Luozi immediately furrowed his brow and spoke first, his tone tinged with caution: "Speak up, what exactly do you want to do?"
Shedding the earlier casualness, Spinel's face gained a few strokes of shrewd composure; without any roundabout, they said directly: "I want a Portable Dynamax Energy Tank."
"Heh." Luozi chuckled lightly, his eyes full of doubt, "What do you need such a thing for?"
"Naturally it's for battle." Spinel did not conceal their purpose.
Luozi's brow furrowed even tighter, and he asked again: "What exactly are you planning?"
Spinel lifted their gaze, their eyes fixed straight on Luozi, their tone resolute: "No other meaning, I just want to help Huo La solve some trouble and eliminate some obstructive people."
Luozi fell silent the instant he heard that, offering no reply.
Spinel, seeing this, continued to calmly analyze the situation: "Putting aside the problems here in Galar, Huo La also has three regional hidden threats behind him."
"The four people in Hoenn, to you and me, their little moves cannot escape our eyes."
"As for Unova, originally there was only one Quagsire; with Huo La's strength, crushing it directly would not be difficult. But now Lysandre has also gotten involved, and the situation instantly became complicated, no longer something that can be easily settled."
"And then there's Sakaki of the Galar Rocket Team, this person hides too deep. He has almost never acted for years, information about him is scarce; even my scouts cannot uncover any detail about him. He is absolutely the most troublesome and most lurking of all enemies."
"So who do you intend to target?" Luozi asked in a deep voice.
"Unova." Spinel replied bluntly, without any hesitation, "Sakaki's background is unfathomable; I don't want to provoke him lightly. The Hoenn situation is already tangled, my rash involvement would only make things worse."
"On the contrary, Huo La, backed by the League, personally going to quell Hoenn's turmoil can win the hearts of the locals and gain their support; it is the most stable choice."
"You have indeed considered every angle for him." Luozi remarked lightly.
"Since I have decided to help him, I naturally must weigh all pros and cons clearly." Spinel said calmly.
Luozi stared at them and asked solemnly: "Are you confident you can deal with Quagsire and Lysandre working together?"
"I know their backgrounds well." Spinel began their analysis slowly, "Quagsire's obsession is to create a world where only he and his own people can control Pokemon; Lysandre's original wish is to purge all living beings and reset the whole world."
"Both of these extreme futures, whichever materializes, would be outcomes no one can accept."
"Lysandre choosing to ally with Quagsire likely means he has temporarily set aside his original intention; whether his compromise is sincere or merely a feigned retreat, I'm too lazy to investigate."
"But I am very clear that, by myself alone, I could never block the combined power of those two. Therefore, I need your help."
"So you want a Portable Dynamax Energy Tank?" Luozi understood instantly.
"Exactly." Spinel nodded in response.
Luozi shook their head lightly, their tone tinged with helplessness: "You're a step too late; the last batch of finished products I have are all given to Huo La."
Spinel was initially stunned, then flashed a determined smile: "I believe in your ability. With your technique, you can certainly remake them in a short time."
"You overestimate me." Luozi sighed slightly, stating the difficulty plainly, "Now Eternatus is completely sealed, and all the underground channels in the Quanguan Jingjichang that gathered and emitted Dynamax energy were destroyed in the previous blast."
"Without a foundation of energy supply, even I cannot restart the production line in the short term to forge new Portable Dynamax Energy Tanks."
