Chapter 712

But Yu Xiaozhi didn't have any bad feelings toward Charmeleon because of its behavior.

Instead, he was constantly comforting it.

Such behavior also caused some struggle in Charmeleon's heart.

Strength didn't seem to be that important.

For the next period of time, Yu Xiaozhi continued to travel with Charmeleon.

In the following events.

Yu Xiaozhi and the others experienced the resurrection of fossils.

And in this event, Yu Xiaozhi was accidentally taken away by the resurrected Aerodactyl.

Aerodactyl even provoked Charmeleon.

This behavior successfully angered Charmeleon.

While worrying about Yu Xiaozhi, Charmeleon was once again conquered by power.

The longing for power and anger successfully caused Charmeleon to evolve again.

Thus.

Charmeleon successfully evolved into Charizard.

The Charizard soaring in the sky successfully rescued Yu Xiaozhi and also taught that Aerodactyl, which dared to make faces at it, a lesson.

The audience thought that the next scene would be a happy one.

Yu Xiaozhi could live in harmony with the evolved Charizard.

Then they realized they were wrong.

And wrong in a very outrageous way.

After evolving into Charizard, Charizard was lost in its own power again.

Because Yu Xiaozhi's trainer level was too low.

So much so that Charizard completely ignored Yu Xiaozhi's commands.

Even when challenging the Cinnabar Gym.

Charizard chose to slack off directly.

Such behavior made the audience drop their jaws.

One second they were feeling sad for Charmander's experience.

The next second they felt anger burning in their hearts.

Charizard was a bit too much!

【Leon: Sigh, this makes me a bit embarrassed. I was just praising Charmander's perseverance, I didn't expect it to become this situation now.】

【Sonia: This is not your fault, but Charmander itself didn't figure it out. Charizard's behavior is academically called Power Syndrome, which is caused by gaining a large amount of power in a short period of time while the trainer cannot match its strength.】

【Professor Oak: Ahem, Sonia is right. This symptom does exist, it's just that Charizard's symptoms are more obvious.】

【Because of its previous experience, Charizard has a mysterious obsession with power; it not only hopes to become stronger itself, but also hopes its trainer will become stronger.】

【I have also heard Yu Xiaozhi talk about this, and I explained it at the time; slacking off is likely just a way for Charizard to motivate Yu Xiaozhi, it's just that this method is a bit too extreme.】

【Chi Hong: It is indeed too much; although Yu Xiaozhi was indeed very weak when he first started traveling, Charizard's behavior is very wrong. Decided, when I go back this time, I will let my Charizard go to the Charicific Valley and teach it a lesson.】

Yu Xiaozhi's Charizard, far away in the Charicific Valley, sneezed hard.

In this scorching Charicific Valley.

Yu Xiaozhi's Charizard felt a chill on its back.

What's going on!

Why does it feel like something bad is about to happen!

【Yu Xiaozhi: Forget it, Brother Chi Hong. It's also my fault; I didn't know anything when I first started traveling, not only battling against type disadvantages but also not being clear about the moves my Pokémon mastered, making many mistakes.】

【If I had listened to you and studied hard before leaving, maybe this scene wouldn't have happened.】

【Diantha: You, you are still too gentle; sometimes you have to be a bit tougher with your Pokémon.】

……

On the screen——

Because of Charizard's slacking off.

Facing Xia Bo, Yu Xiaozhi almost failed directly.

Fortunately, at this time, Charizard also slowly stood up.

Facing Xia Bo's Magmar, Charizard still chose to make a move.

As a Fire-type Gym Leader.

Xia Bo's strength is still very strong.

In this battle.

Charizard also ignored Yu Xiaozhi's commands many times, acting on its own instincts.

Charizard's strength was on par with Magmar.

But Charizard also staged a famous scene.

That is, pushing Magmar's Fire Blast into the sky, changing it from a large-character flame to a medium-character flame, until it turned into a small-character flame and disappeared directly.

In the end, Charizard successfully defeated Xia Bo's Magmar with a Seismic Toss, helping Yu Xiaozhi win the Volcano Badge.

After this battle.

The audience thought Charizard's situation would improve a bit.

However.

The development of things was just the opposite.

Charizard became more extreme.

The scene of the Indigo League Round of 16 match.

Yu Xiaozhi faced Richie, who also had a Pikachu.

In this battle, Yu Xiaozhi chose to have Charizard appear as the final Pokémon.

However, everything that happened next made everyone drop their jaws.

Just after appearing, Charizard showed powerful strength.

But after realizing that Richie's strength was not enough to make it interested.

Charizard lay on the ground and chose to slack off.

Such behavior was also directly declared by the Indigo League referee as losing consciousness for battle.

Yes.

Just like that, Yu Xiaozhi fell in the Round of 16 of the Indigo League.

The reason was simply because Charizard felt the opponent's strength was not enough to arouse its desire to battle.

After this incident.

The audience felt that Yu Xiaozhi's Charizard was a bit too much.

How could it slack off directly on the battlefield!

And it was in the Indigo League, which was extremely important to Yu Xiaozhi!

What is the difference between this behavior and directly admitting defeat!

And.

Anyone with eyes could see that if Charizard had gone all out at that time, it wouldn't have to win the championship.

At least it wouldn't have ended up in the Round of 16.

The audience, seeing the disappointed expression on Yu Xiaozhi's face.

For a moment, they didn't know what to say.

The reversal came too suddenly.

So much so that most people weren't prepared.

It was clearly so cute when it was a Charmander.

How did it turn into this in the blink of an eye.

【Professor Kukui: It's because of the evolution, right? I just noticed that the time from Charmeleon evolving to Charizard was only a few days.】

【The time was too short, so Charizard received too much power in a short period of time, seriously affecting Charizard's emotions, which led to this kind of thing happening.】

【Lillie: Then Brother Yu Xiaozhi is too pitiful; he clearly had a chance to win the championship, but fell in the Round of 16 because of Charizard.】

【Alder: Life, it's always full of unknowns and uncertainties.】 ===== CHAPTER 713 =====
