Chapter 73: Four New Partners
Luo Mu’s words had barely finished when Aldiga first sneered, as if Luo Mu’s threat was laughably crude; then his phone vibrated several times, as if a message had arrived.
Aldiga pulled out his phone suspiciously, and when he saw the glaring text on the screen, he froze.
How could this be?
He was just a new teacher who hadn’t even stabilized his position—why did he have the authority to freeze my bank card?
Seeing Aldiga’s dazed, shattered expression, Luo Mu kindly explained: “Your father spoke to me on the phone a few days ago. That authority was entrusted to me that day. Aldiga, before our next class, I hope you reflect on where you went wrong today.”
Luo Mu didn’t care about being insulted—back before he crossed over, the online trolls he’d faced were far more vicious and foul-mouthed than this little shrimp Aldiga.
Too low a rank.
Aldiga launched personal attacks against those who tried to stop him—Pipa and Pina—that’s why Luo Mu chose to activate the authority.
Luo Mu tore his gaze away from Aldiga, who looked as if his lifelong pride had shattered, and turned to the other students, who stared at him as if he were a god. He smiled: “Let’s continue. We might be five minutes late dismissing—can you all accept that?”
“Sure~”
Seeing the once-arrogant young master Aldiga humbled before Luo Mu, the students, now aware of his true influence, had no reason to object.
After briefly wrapping up today’s summary, Luo Mu, clutching his cracked phone now filled with over a dozen new contacts, fled the playground like his life depended on it, leaving the students bewildered.
Only Nimo, who had reached out to call him back for a few more battles during break, stood frozen in place.
Running out the gates of Orange Academy, his expression was as if someone in his family had died; he muttered bitterly: “Overtime… I actually worked overtime. How could I work overtime!!”
Even five extra minutes of class felt like losing a hundred million—what normal person, after crossing over into the Pokémon world, would work overtime?
“What overtime?”
Mu Fei appeared out of nowhere, frowning at Luo Mu—as if he’d been waiting by the academy gates for a long time.
Though startled by Mu Fei’s sudden appearance, Luo Mu quickly recovered and asked: “Principal Mu Fei, what are you doing here?”
“I’m waiting for you, Teacher Luo Mu,” Mu Fei straightened and leaned in. “How did the young master perform today?”
Aldiga’s performance?
Luo Mu’s expression turned strange; in a few sentences, he laid out everything Aldiga had done today.
“That’s it. I’ve temporarily frozen his bank card—I plan to unfreeze it next week during class. If you and his father think it’s inappropriate, you can unfreeze it now. Don’t worry about my feelings.”
Mu Fei shook his head and gave a thumbs-up: “Master said everything is fully entrusted to you, Teacher Luo Mu. This handling is perfectly acceptable.”
“The young master has been verbally abusing his classmates for days—not just today. The master has been too occupied with business affairs to spend time with him and now has no moral authority to discipline him. Thank goodness you’ve taken up the position.”
“The young master’s education will be entirely under your judgment.”
With that, Mu Fei bowed deeply to Luo Mu. Aldiga was the boy he’d raised since childhood—even if it pained him, this was the moment for decisive action.
He could only hope this teacher would bring Aldiga positive change.
Remembering how Aldiga’s father had begged him solemnly over the phone, Luo Mu sighed and helped Mu Fei up: “I’m glad you’re not opposed. As for his personality… I’ll do my best.”
At least, in the original plot, Aldiga changed because of Team Star—proving his nature wasn’t beyond redemption.
By the time Luo Mu rode Dragonite back to the farm, it was nearly five in the afternoon.
No sooner had his feet touched the ground than he shouted for all the Pokémon on the farm to gather.
Moments later, his gaze swept over the six main Pokémon, the three Fluffpuffs, Wooper and its little Quagsire siblings, and Cutiefly.
Aside from the Phoenix and the injured Mime Jr., every Pokémon on the farm was now gathered here.
Luo Mu felt a pang of wonder—less than two months had passed since he ended his journey and arrived in Flat Plate Town, yet the farm had already grown so lively.
And with today’s new members joining, it would become even livelier.
He cleared his throat and spoke in a cheerful tone: “You all probably know—we’re adding several new members to the farm today. Let me introduce them to you.”
Dozens of curious eyes instantly fixed on the four figures behind Luo Mu.
Luo Mu first picked up a small Pokémon whose body looked like a patchwork of fermented dough and said: “This is Doggu, one of today’s new family members. It can produce yeast—soon, all our baked goods will taste even better!”
Doggu’s glossy black eyes scanned the curious Pokémon watching it; its tail drooped slightly, looking nervous.
Especially when it noticed the five main Pokémon observing it—Doggu grew even more terrified and buried its head straight into Luo Mu’s chest.
Especially that long green Pokémon—it looked like it wanted to eat it!
Luo Mu: “........”
When I picked it, this kid was so lively—could the pressure from the Riolu group be too strong?
Luo Mu temporarily placed Doggu behind his right leg and picked up another Pokémon.
This Pokémon’s body resembled a tender green fruit, with a yellow fruit growing from its stem and leaves, filled with bitter oil.
“This is Minifur. After evolution, it produces delicious olive oil. Fluffpuffs, I’m entrusting this one to you.”
Minifur was bolder than Doggu. Though it still avoided looking toward Kingdra, it at least took small steps forward under the Fluffpuffs’ enthusiastic invitation.
The third one, Mudkip, was too heavy for Luo Mu to carry—even before evolution, this Pokémon averaged 110 kg.
Since they’d gathered in the open pasture, where the grass had grown thick and lush, Mudkip had been lowering its head all along, slowly chewing the grass with serene indifference.
Clearly, Mudkip was very pleased with the grass quality.
Luo Mu smiled, crouched down, and patted Mudkip’s body: “This is Mudkip—the first Pokémon of our pasture zone. It can learn farming moves to make our farmland richer.”
