Chapter 196: Complete Enhancement: Bond Transformation!

"How did it turn out?"

Everyone stared wide-eyed, looking expectantly at the smoke, wanting to know the situation of the Overbearing Panda.

For Ash, who possesses Waveguide Power,

It was only natural to want to know the truth within the thick smoke.

In the thick smoke, the Overbearing Panda, though disheveled, had not yet fallen,

Moreover, it was trying to use the smoke as cover, attempting to unleash the Normal-type Physical Ultimate Impact to turn the battle around!

The level difference was too great, and furthermore, the Overbearing Panda is inherently a Physical Resistance-type Pokémon,

Even with physical attack maximized and paired with the full-power Acrobatics that deals double damage to the Overbearing Panda, it still wasn't enough.

Waveguide Bullet!

In silence, Ash channeled Waveguide Power into the Koga Ninja Frog.

A force at least at the Heavenly King level surged in, instantly achieving a massive amplification.

The blue Waveguide Bullet held in the Koga Ninja Frog's hand rapidly expanded in size, quickly reaching an exaggerated height of five meters.

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

It was as if a colossal creature stomped the ground, causing an earth-shaking tremor, and as if war drums were beating in everyone's hearts.

Like the god of death tolling a funeral bell,

The Overbearing Panda, enveloped in white light, shot out of the smoke like a charging locomotive, domineering and fierce.

Its domineering silhouette instantly caused two hearts to appear in the eyes of the Overbearing Panda's mother.

It also left everyone worrying anxiously,

But when their gaze fell upon the Koga Ninja Frog,

they saw the Bond Ninja Frog raising both hands high, and saw that huge blue Waveguide Bullet.

Everyone instantly gaped in shock, mouths wide open.

Whoosh!

Accompanying the launch of the huge Waveguide Bullet, it struck the Overbearing Panda that was using Ultimate Impact.

A dazzling light instantly expanded into the shape of an iron pot,

like an atomic bomb sowing a luminous mushroom cloud.

Boom!

The intense light made everyone unable to open their eyes, and the tremendous sonic boom caused a bout of ringing ears and dizziness.

The explosive force surged outward, about to fling everyone's bodies into the air.

At the critical moment,

Latias, hidden in the darkness, instantly erected a psychic shield, protecting everyone and preventing the forest and nearby town's houses from being destroyed by this attack.

With no way to vent the energy outward, it could only surge skyward!

The blinding light pillar instantly pierced the clouds, blasting a huge hole in the thick white layers above.

It then rapidly spread outward in all directions, like a massive smoke ring.

Glug!

Everyone present, as well as all the people of Xuhu Town nearby, stared in horror at this scene.

This is surely beyond Champion-level power, right?

Could it be? A Legendary Pokémon has appeared!

After all, not long ago in Fengyuan, a Legendary Pokémon attack incident had just occurred.

Nowadays, a craze for seeking Legendary Pokémon has swept the globe, and many people, hearts racing, rushed straight toward the direction where the pillar of light shone.

However,

more people quickly regained their senses from the impulse, realizing that only their own lives truly matter.

Instead, they fled even faster in the opposite direction.

The residents of Xuhu Town wanted to run, but they were reluctant to abandon their property at home.

They could only first call the police, then take their more valuable belongings and evacuate, returning after the authorities confirmed the situation.

……

Meanwhile,

At the scene, a notification suddenly rang in Ash's mind: mission completed, personality enhancement.

【…Trait Enhancement Complete】

Immediately after the enhancement finished, Ash promptly opened the data panel to preview.

【Trait】: Bond Transformation 3 (1. With a Trainer present, Bond Evolution occurs instantly; 2. Defeating an opponent raises all stats by one stage; 3. Unlocks the exclusive move Golden Shuriken; 4. In Bond Form, a new trait is added: Torrent 3).

From Enhancement 2 to Enhancement 3,

the effect of Bond Transformation has undergone a qualitative shift, nearly rivaling the current strongest three‑star trait, Oppression.

The first clause, Bond Evolution, needs no explanation—it's essentially a built‑in Super Evolution.

Starting with the second clause, the extraordinariness of Bond Transformation shows: defeating an opponent directly raises all stats.

This is the opposite of Oppression's stat‑weakening effect.

It requires defeating an opponent to trigger, which seems difficult to use,

Indeed,

if in an official match the opponent has a type advantage, the chance of triggering it is low.

But once triggered!

The terrifying suppressive power from boosting all stats will be extremely explosive!

It is very strong,

But that kind of strength that heavily tests technique!

But if used in unofficial battles, it's no longer just strong—it's invincible!

After all,

In wild battles, Pokémon often pass by, and it's normal for the attack to hit innocent passing Pokemon, right?

The oppressive feeling still requires a 60‑second wait before full activation, and during that time you must also stop the enemy from using power‑up moves.

Switching to Bond Transformation 3 only requires Greninja to use a wide‑range move, such as Surf.

Almost one second to achieve +6 to all stats!

The terrifying effect of +6 to all stats needs no explanation!

As for the third exclusive skill…

That's likely the move Ash and Greninja used at the end of the finals—let's set it aside for now.

Ash's gaze was quickly drawn to the fourth entry, his brows slightly furrowed.

No way?

Won't this upgrade directly replace the Bond Ability Bond Transformation in the Bond Well form?

As explained earlier, just how extreme is the second effect of Bond Transformation now.

Ash doesn't want Greninja to become like Mewtwo, with its base strength surpassing Mega Evolution.

After all,

Mewtwo's base form is already cool, and its 680 base stat total is also strong.

But Greninja's looks and base stats are basically all in its Bond Evolution form.

If the Bond form's ability were replaced with Torrent, that would definitely be a nerf.

While commanding Latios to heal the domineering panda father,

Ash immediately checked Greninja's current status.

【Pokémon】: Bond Greninja (♂)

【Type】: Water+Dark

【Form】: Bond Evolution State

【Ability】: Bond Transformation 3 (special, unmodifiable), Torrent 3 (modifiable)

【Level】: 45

【Skills】: …, Golden Shuriken (Exclusive)

【Held】: Mystic Water Drop

【Special Ability】: Waveguide Power (Advanced)

【IV】: 6v

【Base Stats】: Total 640, HP 72, Attack 145, Defense 67, Sp. Atk 153, Sp. Def 71, Speed 132,

…

"Phew~!"

Upon seeing the newly added Torrent ability, the Bond Transformation ability remained on the panel,

but instead an additional Torrent was added, making it a dual‑ability Pokémon.

Ash let out a long sigh, the worry in his mind easing.

Good thing!

No nerf to the Bond form.

Otherwise, the strength would plummet, and he'd have to sacrifice his cool looks—Ash would literally cry himself to death.

When good things happen, one feels refreshed,

Now Ash is in a great mood.

He quickly took out the standard Ability Ointment from his pack and changed Greninja's Torrent ability.

Thus the ability list on Bond Greninja's panel instantly became Bond Transformation 3 + Transformative 3.
