Chapter 197: Potential Super God Greninja!

【Ability】: Versatile Transformation 3 (type matches the move used; same-type bonus increased to 2.25×; unlocks learning talent for all-type moves of 75–95 power)

The type changes to match the move used,

There's not much to say about this; Versatile Transformation already has this feature.

It's extremely strong for defensive switching!

For example, if the opponent is an Electric-type Pikachu, using a Ground-type move changes your type to Ground, thereby becoming immune to the opponent's attack.

Likewise, the second effect raises the same-type bonus to 2.25×, which is also very strong on the offensive side!

You should know that the Ability Adaptability only raises the same-type bonus to 2×!

Only when combined with the ninth generation's battle system, Terastallization, can you reach 2.25×.

The base multiplier of Versatile Transformation already equals the effect of Adaptability plus Terastallization,

and unlike the former, it doesn't require locking onto a single specific type.

For example, Mega Lucario, Terastallized Steel—only Steel-type moves receive the 2.25× damage boost.

But the three-stage Versatile Transformation Greninja enjoys the 2.25× boost regardless of which move it uses!

Likewise,

This may also be why the multiplier hasn't reached a Sand Force-like 3× increase.

As for the final learning talent, refer to Serperior's Contrary 3.

Literally,

Greninja will learn 18 type moves, making it easier to pair with Versatile Transformation 3 to achieve 'anywhere, big or small' changes.

Moreover, the 75–95 range,

Ash can completely have Greninja learn moves like Thunderbolt, which have an extremely wide range.

Compared to the limited-range Surf, Thunderbolt can more conveniently achieve an instant all-types +6!

One could say, with the double boost of Bond Phenomenon 3 and Versatile Transformation 3!

Greninja truly possessed power surpassing Charizard, Infernape, and even Kyogre, Groudon, Yveltal, Mewtwo and other legendary beasts, qualifying to vie for the position of Ash's top commander.

The 75–95 range happens to also allow learning Fly!

Imagine Greninja energizing its wings and soaring through the sky,

tsk tsk, who wouldn't be able to fly?

Inside the Master Ball, the sleeping Groudon suddenly shivered and silently turned over.

Finally, Ash turned back,

and opened the expanded description of the Golden Shuriken.

【Golden Shuriken】 Special Attack; Power 195; always hits; ignores opponent's type, guaranteeing a 2× effectiveness multiplier; (usable only in Bond Form)

【Golden Hand Sword】 Special Attack; Power 195; Always hits; Ignores opponent's type, guaranteeing a 2× effectiveness multiplier; (Usable only in Bonded Form)

Sure enough, just as Ash thought,

this is a Z-move exclusive to Greninja!

Its 195 power equals that of the Ten Million Volts unleashed by Ash's Pikachu Z, which Ash does not yet possess!

The 195 power equals the 10,000‑Volt power unleashed by Ash's yet‑unowned Smart Pikachu Z!

the difference is that Ten Million Volts' final effect makes it easy to hit a vital spot, scoring a crit and doubling power!

whereas the Golden Shuriken guarantees a 2× effectiveness multiplier.

The words 'guaranteed' and 'easy' already show a difference.

Moreover, the Golden Shuriken, while delivering a 2× effectiveness against all opponents, still retains the base crit chance.

Not to mention the Golden Hand Sword, while delivering a 2× effectiveness against all opponents, it still retains the base critical hit chance.

One could say this move's ceiling is even more extravagant than Pikachu God's Ten Million Volts!

If it were the Greninja just mentioned, it would already have three-stage Bond Phenomenon,

all-types +6, then combined with this move and Versatile Transformation's 2.25× same-type damage bonus,

Ash is confident that, without using Waveguide Power, he can defeat the Heavenly King-level Domineering Panda!

Just thinking about this makes Ash's hands itch.

Wanting to find an opponent to test Greninja's true limit, it's best to pick a reverse-type foe! This more conveniently demonstrates the Golden Shuriken's universal effectiveness.

Want to find an opponent to test Greninja's true limit? Best is a foe with the opposite attribute! It more conveniently and intuitively demonstrates the Golden Hand Sword's universal effectiveness.

Sensing Ash's eagerness to try, the Domineering Panda father, who had just awakened from a faint, felt utterly unwell.

Even the Domineering Panda mother couldn't bear to watch,

she quickly shoved the Mischievous Panda toward Serena's side and pointed at Ash.

"Pooh-pooh~" Quickly make your husband stop.

Serena, unaware of the Domineering Panda mother's wording, this time was not shy.

She nodded, then quickly shouted, "Ash! It's okay, the Domineering Panda mother also agreed."

Hearing that, Ash could only give up his plan to test on the Domineering Panda.

Everyone present breathed a sigh of relief, except the Mischievous Panda, who kept swinging its fists, seeming unsatisfied—why not keep going!

Everyone present breathed a sigh of relief, except the tirelessly fist‑waving playful panda, which seemed a bit unsatisfied—how could it not continue!

As time passed, the trainers rushing to the scene finally arrived nearby.

"It's not a Legendary Pokémon, it's Ash!"

"Wow! Ash is here! Sisters, come quick!"

"Seeing Aier, and also seeing Ash, Serena, Keerni, and Tierno, this trip to Lakeside Town was truly worth it!"

Seeing Aier, and also seeing Ash, Serena, Keerni, and Tierno, this trip to Lagoon Town was truly worth it!

「This is the handsome Kouga Ninja Frog that appeared again in the footage from Kalos Canyon earlier, right? He's really handsome! 」

Ash looked embarrassed at the excited crowd,

He took a group photo with everyone and told them they could later pick it up from Ash's social account.

Then he used instant transmission to leave the scene.

After confirming that Ash and Serena were trustworthy trainers, the domineering panda parents were not sad.

As Ash left,

After scolding a few overconfident trainers who wanted to capture them, he also quickly disappeared from the crowd's sight.

However, as the news spread,

Originally gathered due to the performance of Aier in Lakeside Town, the tens of thousands of people, those who hadn't timely left by vehicle, suddenly frenziedly surged into the surrounding forest.

Everywhere they searched for Ash's traces.

No choice, to protect the wild Pokemon in the forest and maintain order, Ash had no choice but to let Mewtwo bring everyone via instant transmission to Mialei City,

He took a photo with the local fans, held a small live broadcast, and informed the fans that they had arrived in Mialei City.

By the way, he directly had Mewtwo send Keerni back to the Refining Tower.

Even so, when Ash returned to the nearby area, he was still recognized by many residents.

Ash also finally realized,

After this Sinnoh trip, just how exaggerated his fame had surged.

Now even sixty- or seventy-year-old elders know him.

Helpless, Ash could only choose to disguise himself, swapping his blue coat for a red-and-white crimson outfit!

Serena, recalling the advice Aier gave before their parting, besides changing her outfit, cut her hair short.

Matching the gradually expanding cafeteria scale,

adding a heavy married-woman attribute to her.

Tierno took off his baseball cap, turned his single ponytail into a double ponytail that could be grasped with both hands, and switched to tight pants that accentuated his figure!

Clemont and Yurie, because they weren't added to the game, also didn't appear in the footage of the Sinnoh journey,

actually there's no need to worry too much.

Just need to change clothes to avoid being recognized.

Thus, after disguising, everyone's whereabouts finally remained hidden.

"Phew, double ponytail, I'm not used to it~"

Walking along the forest path, the hatless Tierno, somewhat unaccustomed, swung his double ponytail back and forth.

"No way, your popularity is too high now; if you want to restore your original outfits, you'll have to wait at least another five to ten days."

"That short?" Serena froze, "Are we really that prone to fading away?"

"Yeah, why five to ten days?"

Ash chuckled,

"Because your classic style clothes are currently being mass-produced in my clothing factory,

"you guys think, by then the streets will be full of our stand-ins; wouldn't we be able to blend in then?"

"I see, everyone suddenly understood."

……

Meanwhile,

Right near Ash's group,

a short-statured boy whose hair and clothes were all green, also holding an umbrella,

while making a phone call, he didn't forget to distract himself by commanding a Mega Venusaur to suppress Kusha's Electrike.

"Venusaur, Solar Beam!"

Under the bright sunny sky, a verdant-green Solar Beam instantly condensed, defeating Miss Kusha's Electrike.

Directing the Venusaur to bind Kusha and her defeated Electrike with vine whips,

The boy……

Perhaps it would be more appropriate to describe him as an adult with a child's appearance.

Walking up to the bound Kusha, he picked up from her feet an unrefined Mega Swampert raw stone.

Looking at the unconscious Kusha, with a look of disdain, he replied into the phone,

"The mission was very easy, representative, we got it."
