Chapter 350: A Glance That Inspires Fear

~7 min read 1,249 words

The atmosphere inside the house suddenly fell silent, and the heat wave seemed to solidify as well.

After a moment, Huo La lifted his eyes to Gua Na, a hint of slyness flashing in his gaze, and said softly, "Field Master Gua Na, you'll help me, right?"

Gua Na looked at him, gave a faint smile, their brows softening: "Back then, with the A Er incident, you did me a huge favor. Now you've come from afar just to ask for something; I naturally won't stand by idly—I can't let you make a wasted trip."

Their tone paused, expression again solemn: "However, this matter can't be handled by me alone. To go to that Huoshan, we still need A Mang and the Mystic Tail Darkfish King to help."

Hearing this, Huo La said no more, leaving everything to Sister Gua Na to arrange.

"Alright." Gua Na waved her hand, thoughtfully saying, "You've been traveling hard all the way, surely you're exhausted; rest here and recover your spirit first. I'll go make some preparations and also contact A Mang to discuss the matter of going to the Volcano Crater Shrine."

Having said that, Gua Na turned and left.

Only three people remained inside the house, each finding a spot, closing their eyes to quietly restore their spirit.

Meanwhile.

Chunbai Dongtu, Ice Mountain Battlefield.

The wind and snow swirled wildly across the sky, biting and bone‑cold.

Ming Yao braved the endless snowstorm, hurried here, only to receive an unexpected answer.

"What? They've already left?" Ming Yao's face went pale.

"Exactly." Bin Lian helplessly spread his hands, "They've already gone to look for the remaining Stone Tablet."

Ming Yao raised his hand to his forehead, his expression exasperated to the extreme, almost bursting into a bitter laugh on the spot.

He had crossed mountains and valleys, traveled day and night, enduring countless hardships to chase them here, yet didn't expect Huo La's party to move so swiftly.

However, in just a few days, not only had they resolved the mutation of the Chunbai Dongtu Pokémon King and obtained the Stone Tablet, they had already set out for the next destination.

"Field Master Bin Lian, do you know where they're heading?" Ming Yao hurriedly asked.

Bin Lian first nodded, then slowly shook his head.

Ming Yao's eyes were full of confusion.

Only then did Bin Lian speak slowly: "There are three possible places, but… I can't determine which one they'll go to first."

Ming Yao fell silent for a moment, his gaze hardening: "Then please, Field Master Bin Lian, tell me all three locations; I'll go find them myself."

Bin Lian sized him up, looking at the sudden snowstorm outside, and mused, "Fine. But a blizzard is about to blow up outside; you can stay here for the night, and when the snow eases tomorrow, set out."

In the Tian Guan Mountain Foothills, inside a hidden Shiwu.

A booming blast roared across the fields, smoke and dust surging.

Immediately after, Dr. Laben let out an uncontrollable ecstatic laugh: "Hahaha… it's done! I succeeded! Finally I've created the Origin Ball!"

He cupped the newborn creation in his palm, his eyes blazing with fervor.

But at that moment, a figure as swift as a after‑image suddenly flashed before his eyes.

Laben was startled, instinctively raised his hand, but his palm was already empty—the freshly forged Origin Ball had vanished into thin air.

A slender figure slowly entered through the doorway—it was Wang Luo.

The still‑warm Origin Ball was quietly held in his hand.

Behind him stood a wolf‑shaped Pokemon, its fur a blend of blue, gray, and yellow, upright and human‑like, silently accompanying him.

"Wang Luo!" Dr. Laben, usually gentle‑minded, now wore a rare scowl, his brows knit.

Wang Luo calmly waved his hand, his tone relaxed: "No need to be angry; I was merely curious, wanting to see what the legendary Origin Ball actually looks like."

Having said that, he brought the Origin Ball close to his eyes and examined it carefully.

The sphere was entirely Red, its surface shimmering with the luster forged from the Origin Ore.

He twisted his wrist lightly, and the ball rippled with concentric crimson waves, light dancing, dazzlingly intoxicating, exuding a mysterious power that shook the very source.

"I never imagined you'd be able to grind the hard Origin Ore into such a smooth, perfect sphere," Wang Luo murmured admiringly, gazing for a long while.

After a moment, he casually tossed the Origin Ball back.

Laben hurriedly fumbled to catch it, looking at him with full confusion.

"I've given you the item; you may leave now," Wang Luo said lightly, his gaze turning outward, "The Galaxy Team, Pearl Team, and Diamond Team members, barring any surprise, will soon be here. I should also lay low."

He paused, his tone carrying hidden meaning: "Until Huo La gathers all the Stone Tablets, it's better for me to stay away from you."

As his words fell, Wang Luo turned, casually raised his hand and waved.

Accompanied by the blue wolf‑shaped Pokemon behind him, he left without looking back, disappearing into the shadows of the foothills.

Not long after Wang Luo's departure, three squads converged, following his trail.

Leading them were the leaders of the Diamond Team, Pearl Team, and Galaxy Team—Ma Jia Mu, Gangshi, and Zhu Bei.

Dr. Laben carefully checked the surroundings for safety, then hurriedly waved to the crowd.

The three teams, seeing this, quickly gathered and met him inside the Shiwu.

"Are you all right, Dr. Laben?" Ma Jia Mu asked first, his expression concerned.

"It's fine, it's fine." Laben adjusted his hat brim, calming himself a bit, then asked puzzled, "By the way, how did you find this place?"

"Someone nearby spotted Wang Luo's trail," Gangshi took over, "And since Huo La had long suspected him, we rushed here immediately to investigate."

He scanned the interior, then asked in a deep voice, "Where is Wang Luo?"

"He ran," Laben said bluntly.

"Ran?" Zhu Bei startled, instinctively covering his mouth, his complexion shifting slightly, "So that means… the mastermind behind this is indeed him?"

Laben slowly nodded, then excitement lit his eyes, and he eagerly handed the object in his palm to the three, saying, "Never mind that, look—I've succeeded in something!"

A flash of Red leapt into everyone's sight.

Zhu Bei recognized it at a glance and couldn't help but exclaim, "Is this the Origin Ball? The legendary Pokeball that can capture a Shenming!"

Laben was stunned, looking at her in surprise, "How do you know?"

Ma Jia Mu explained in a low voice: "It was Huo La who deduced it. After learning the Origin Ore had been stolen and you mysteriously vanished, he immediately linked the clues and guessed that they kidnapped you to force you to create this Origin Ball."

"I see," Laben said, nodding in realization.

Gangshi, standing nearby, stared at the flowing, swirling Red sphere; after a while, he slowly spoke, his tone carrying a hint of cold: "Even the artifacts that can subdue deities can be crafted by hand… To be honest, in my eyes, your existence may be even more terrifying than Wang Luo."

When those words were spoken, the entire venue fell silent instantly.

The members of the three squads felt a chill in their hearts and stared blankly at Laventon.

Although Gangshi's words seemed like a casual joke, every word was sincere.

The ability to forge power that binds gods—such intellect alone is enough to inspire awe, even fear.
