Chapter 445: No Suspense, No Longer Within Scope

~6 min read 1,072 words

Just as the battle on the sea below grew more intense, three silhouettes hovered in the distant sky, starkly out of place amid the chaos below, silently watching the great war like onlookers.

Sakaki, dressed in his signature black suit, stood tall, his eyes calm and unruffled, his gaze falling on the figures fighting below; his tone was flat, devoid of any feeling, as he slowly spoke, "A fine battle, more spectacular than I expected."

Beside him hovered a Pokemon completely encased in heavy black armor, the armor glinting with a cold metallic sheen, surrounded by a faint eerie aura; its exact shape was indiscernible, yet it exuded a heart‑pounding pressure.

Next to that armored Pokemon, a woman also hovered.

She wore a strangely shaped device on her head, eyes half‑closed, expression focused, seemingly communicating silently with the armored Pokemon through the machine.

If Huo La were present now, he would instantly recognize that she is Natsume, who possesses an extremely strong Psychic.

After a moment of silence, Natsume slowly opened her eyes, turned to Sakaki, and, with a respectful yet blunt tone, asked, "Banmu Laoda, the situation below has already spiraled out of control; shall we intervene now?"

"No." Sakaki refused without hesitation, his tone still flat, his gaze never leaving Huo La and Lugia below, unwavering.

Natsume was slightly startled, then pressed, "Then... regarding Lugia, don't we need to seize the chance to capture it?"

After all, Lugia is the legendary Sea God; such a perfect opportunity, if missed, would be hard to find again.

Sakaki shook his head lightly, a faint curve appearing at the corner of his mouth, his tone carrying a calm mastery: "Lugia is not within my scope of consideration. I came today merely to see how far this fellow called Huo La can go, and whether he can become a variable in my plan."

Hearing this, Natsume said no more, closed her eyes again, continued communicating with the armored Pokemon through the device on her head, her aura returning to its prior calm, and, together with Sakaki and the armored Pokemon, hovered silently in the sky, watching the fierce battle below.

Time Roar thundered down, striking Lugia's body with a fierce blow.

The raging Space-Time Power raged around, and Lugia could not withstand the massive impact; its body sank, being forcefully thrust into the deep sea, the surface churning into huge whirlpools and waves.

Huo La clenched a Pokeball between his fingers, his gaze sharp as a hawk's, unblinking as he stared at the roiling sea, waiting for Lugia to appear.

At that moment, an enormously thick water column shot up from the sea without warning, silently appearing behind Kyogre and Huo La, tearing through the air with force.

Aqua Break!

"Avoid!" Huo La reacted instantly, shouting the command sharply.

Kyogre's thoughts linked instantly, its massive body abruptly swerved sideways, barely grazing the water column and narrowly evading it; the fierce water stream brushed past, exploding into a spray of water mist in midair.

Before Lugia could steady itself, Huo La again issued a deep command: "Dragon Tail!"

Kyogre's massive Dragon Tail, wrapped in heavy pressure, swept out suddenly, precisely striking at Lugia, which had surged out of the sea on the water flow.

A muffled "Bang" reverberated through sea and sky!

The blow was both massive and heavy, hitting the vital point solidly; Lugia had no time to absorb the force, its huge body was again violently flung, crashing onto the sea surface and raising towering waves.

"Good opportunity!" Gilbert, floating among the sea waves, eyes flashing, shouted loudly, "Zapdos!"

Zapdos, hearing the call, spread its wings and dived from midair, its sharp talons snatching Gilbert from the water.

Bilan, seeing this, felt a knot in his heart and immediately ordered Kyurem to launch an attack toward Gilbert and Zapdos.

But before Kyurem could act, a blazing figure streaked from afar; Moltres, its body ablaze, unleashed a Flamethrower, forming a fire wall across the sky, forcibly blocking the path between Kyurem and Gilbert, sealing the route completely.

Seizing the brief blockage, Zapdos clutched Gilbert, skimming low over the sea, racing straight toward the waters where Lugia had fallen, intending to guard the spot first.

"What a complete madman!" Huo La muttered under his breath as he watched Zapdos dragging Gilbert in a desperate rush.

But Huo La did not rush to stop Gilbert's movement; instead, he slowly raised his hand and reached into the backpack behind him.

A moment later, his fingertips closed around a smooth, translucent feather that glimmered with gentle silver light, which he held steadily; the glow remained clearly visible through the stormy sky.

Silver Feather!

In the distant sky, Sakaki, who had been watching the battle quietly, fixed his gaze on the Silver Feather in Huo La's hand; his previously calm eyes suddenly hardened, his pupils narrowing, a hint of understanding and calculation flashing within.

A moment later, he lingered no longer, turned slowly, and in a flat tone yet with an unchallengeable resolve said, "Let's go; there's no longer any suspense here, return."

Natsume was full of questions, not understanding why Sakaki suddenly chose to leave and curious about the feather's origin, yet she never asked further, remaining silent, and together with the black‑armored Pokemon beside her, followed Sakaki's steps, gradually fading into the rain‑filled sky.

Just as Huo La raised the Silver Feather before him, a dazzling white light erupted from the seabed, piercing the surface and illuminating the entire sea.

Lugia, which had been forcefully slammed into the water by Kyogre's Dragon Tail, suddenly surged upward from the sea, its body enveloped in massive water energy, like a white thunderbolt, crashing hard into Zapdos, which was dragging Gilbert at speed.

"Bang!" a huge crash rang out; Zapdos, caught off guard, was violently shaken by Lugia's impact, instantly losing balance, its talons loosening, and Gilbert screamed again as he fell into the raging sea.

Lugia flapped its wings, rose, and slowly settled a few meters ahead of Huo La and Kyogre, hovering steadily in midair.

Its eyes still burned with fury, its surrounding energy still raging, yet within that anger lay a hint of unmistakable doubt; its gaze fixed on the Silver Feather in Huo La's hand, its expression complex, it did not launch another attack, as if discerning something.

Huo La held the Silver Feather, his expression calm, issuing no further attack orders, merely watching Lugia silently.
