Chapter 446: Now!

~6 min read 1,022 words

"How do you have this feather..."

A cold, ethereal thought suddenly resonated in Huo La's mind, without any words, a pure Psychic telepathic transmission.

The moment he heard the voice, even though the tone was distant and cold, Huo La's tightly strung heart loosened a little.

Lugia itself possesses the Psychic attribute; communicating with others through telepathy is its instinct.

Its willingness to initiate dialogue means the situation has already eased; no longer need to Sheer Force subdue with a death battle, and for now the situation is safe.

"This Silver Feather was given to me by Arceus," Huo La said calmly, then released his fingers from the feather.

The brilliant, pearly Silver Feather seemed to possess a spirit, slowly levitating and drifting toward Lugia, guided by an invisible pull.

Watching the floating Silver Feather's gentle light before him, Lugia fell silent again.

It knew that the Silver Feather and the Rainbow Feather share the same origin; only someone with a special heart and character can hold and preserve its luster. If one harbors evil thoughts or behaves improperly, the feather will dim and lose its spirit.

The Silver Feather before them still shone clear and bright, already enough to attest to Huo La's character.

Moreover, the words "Arceus personally gave" carry immense weight.

"Originally, you came bearing this Silver Feather; I would give you a Trial to test whether you are trustworthy,"

Lugia's telepathic voice sounded again in Huo La's mind, its tone still cold, "But now... everything you have done is excessive—disturbing the peace of Pokémon inhabiting four islands, Sheer Force controlling the kings of three islands, the methods are utterly vile."

Huo La, hearing this, waved his hands repeatedly, pleading urgently, "It's not me! You've misunderstood; I came to save you, never intended to harm you, nor disturb the islands' peace."

He turned his gaze toward the direction where Gilbert fell into the water, adding sincerely, "The ones truly seeking to capture you and control everything are the man who just fell into the sea and the Rocket Team on Ya Xi Ya Dao Dao. I've been blocking them all along, just to keep you from falling into their hands."

Lugia's eyes locked onto Huo La, the telepathic link never breaking.

It could clearly sense Huo La's openness and urgency, without any deceit or malice, and knew every word he said was true.

It slowly turned its body, gazing toward Ya Xi Ya Dao Dao in the distance—there the battle still raged, the roar and Pokémon screeches piercing the storm, smoke thickening, chaos persisting.

"Your mind is pure, allowing me to see the whole truth of what you said," Lugia's tone softened a bit, no longer full of cold accusation. Its gaze then fell on Dialga beside Huo La, and then toward the still‑fighting Palkia and Giratina in the distance.

"Space-Time Trio, are they all your companions?"

Huo La nodded without hesitation, his tone firm: "Exactly, we came together to end this chaos."

Lugia paused briefly, then said slowly, "Let them stop. I will quell the fury of the Three Legendary Bird Kings. They should never have been Sheer Force controlled; this meaningless battle must end."

Following Lugia's gaze, Huo La scanned the sky where Palkia, Giratina and the Three Legendary Bird Kings continued their intertwined battle, his brows slightly furrowed.

Then he turned his eyes to the raging sea below, his expression more cautious—Gilbert, who had just plunged into the sea, had vanished, unknown whether swept away by waves or hiding to strike later.

"Alright, I'll make them stop right now," Huo La replied instantly, his tone crisp.

With Huo La's response, Lugia no longer hesitated, flapped its wings and rose through the storm, racing straight toward the battlefield of the Three Legendary Bird Kings; the pressure around it gradually softened, no longer the previous fury and rage.

Huo La's eyes followed Lugia's figure, and he shouted loudly toward Red still fighting on the battlefield, "Chi Hong Ge, stop! Lugia will personally soothe the Three Legendary Bird Kings; this battle must end!"

Though the storm raged, Huo La's voice cut through the clamor, reaching Red's ears clearly.

Red, hearing this, immediately raised a hand to pat Palkia's back and commanded gravely, "Palkia, we halt first, ascend!"

Palkia let out a deep roar, its surrounding spatial energy surging, deftly evading the thunder struck by the Zapdos King, then violently tore the space ahead, becoming a flash of light and shadow that pierced through.

The next second, it, carrying Red, appeared a few meters above the Three Legendary Bird Kings, hovering steadily, no longer attacking.

Seeing this, the Three Legendary Bird Kings instantly flared with rage, instinctively ready to wing a pursuit, but at that moment Lugia's figure already blocked them, surrounded by a faint aura, a dignified bird cry slowly resonating with a soothing power.

The Three Legendary Bird Kings' movements abruptly halted, all ceased their assault, eyes watching Lugia warily, yet they made no rash move.

Immediately, a rapid, low bird cry echoed among the four Legendary Pokémon.

There was no fierce standoff, no violent energy clash, only silent communication between Lugia and the Three Legendary Bird Kings.

No one knew what method Lugia employed—perhaps a shared Resonance, perhaps the authority of the Sea God—but moments later the Three Legendary Bird Kings, once burning with fury, gradually reined in their raging energy, slowly lowered their wings, and completely ceased their attack, the battle instantly calming.

At the instant the storm began to abate and everything seemed to settle, a figure suddenly shot upward from the direction of Shamouti Island, moving at astonishing speed straight toward Lugia.

"Now!"

A deep shout ripped through the sky, Liu Bo's figure blazing brightly in midair.

He clenched a Pokeball tightly in his hand, and the moment he neared Lugia, he hurled the Pokeball—a dazzling light enveloped it, carrying his lifelong obsession, flying straight toward the defenseless Lugia.

Everyone's gaze instantly focused on the soaring Pokeball.

Huo La and Red's faces changed dramatically; no one expected that Liu Bo, surrounded by Pokémon, could escape and, at this crucial moment, launch a Surprise Attack!
