Chapter 545: Absurd, Grand Absurdity
"I just want to go to the world you originally came from and take a look."
Sakaki's words reached his ears, and for Huo La they were like thunder on a plain.
He exhaled a heavy breath of foul air, his thoughts churning endlessly.
He had long known that with Natsume and Mewtwo by his side, his thoughts could not be hidden at all, and even the secret of his origin from another world was probably already seen through by them.
Yet even though he was mentally prepared, hearing Sakaki state outright that he wanted to go to his own world still left Huo La unable to stop his shock.
Without much thought it was clear that the only one in the whole world who could reveal these secrets to Sakaki was the dark Arceus—Ma Shu Mu.
"Do you know where I come from?" Huo La asked in a deep voice.
"Hmm, I don't know much," Sakaki said lightly, nodding, his tone tinged with curiosity and yearning, "I never imagined that beyond the Pokemon World there exists another completely independent world."
"This unknown beyond makes me immensely curious."
Seeing Sakaki's candid demeanor, Huo La found himself believing his words a little more.
He thought briefly, then pressed the core question: "So your purpose has never been to rule here? You want to become a god merely to go to my world? Then this Pokemon World, do you intend to completely abandon it?"
"Naturally," Sakaki replied, concise and decisive.
"Everything here I can hand over to you. Not only this Main World, but all other Pokemon Worlds as well, all will be under your control. With the Time-Space Dual Gods in your grasp, plus the power of other gods, you can traverse the worlds, devour other Time-Space gods, and perhaps even restore a Time-Space god to a complete whole."
"By then, with your strength you could fully dominate this world."
Huo La remained wary, furrowing his brows as he retorted, "You hand such a massive burden to me; won't your subordinates become discontented?"
Sakaki scoffed at the remark, raising his hand to point at the quietly standing Natsume and Mewtwo beside him.
"With those two, plus your own strength, there is no opponent across the whole world; what are you still worried about?"
"What I worry about is Arceus, and I must also guard against you reneging later," Huo La said in a low voice.
Sakaki stared intently at Huo La: "Arceus, you need not be overly wary. No matter how deep it hides, it has always been within my surveillance. As for me…"
His tone grew slightly colder, "You have no other choice but to choose to believe."
Huo La, after a long silence, slowly spoke, "I need time to consider carefully."
"Fine," Sakaki nodded in agreement, "but the time limit is only one day; the Unova Battlefield situation won't wait for anyone."
As the words fell, he pressed the communication button on the desk.
The office door swung open, Zhenniao stepped in, leading Huo La out of the room.
When Huo La's figure had completely vanished, Sakaki slowly spoke, "Natsume, what do you think?"
Natsume emerged from the shadows, Mewtwo hovering behind her, silent.
Natsume shook her head lightly, "I can't say. When I first met him, he was just a youth challenging Gyms everywhere. Now I can communicate with Mewtwo, thanks to his initial guidance."
Sakaki's gaze was deep and uncertain, "Do you think he'll accept the proposal I put forward?"
"Cannot be certain," Natsume shook her head, then asked, "Banmu Laoda, do you truly intend to hand over the entire Rocket Team to him?"
"As long as he's clever enough, he'll certainly agree," Sakaki mused briefly, then continued, "Mewtwo, can you still detect Arceus's energy fluctuations?"
Natsume nodded in response, "After it acted against Huo La, it has been lurking within the Shinto Ruins, staying still, apparently intent on fully merging with the Silvally Beast."
Sakaki gave a slight nod, his gaze falling on the Mewtwo clad in black armor.
Mewtwo can sense Arceus's aura; no matter the distance, it can lock onto the target, something even it had not anticipated.
The root, it seems, lies in its original gene derived from Mew.
Mew carries the genetic information of all Pokemon, and Arceus is the origin of all things; between them exists an inseparable link.
On the other side, Huo La, exiting the Team Rocket Headquarters Building, followed Zhenniao silently down the stairs.
Until stepping out of the cold office building's door, a faint cool evening breeze blew in front of him, his tense body finally relaxed, his back already unknowingly soaked with cold sweat.
Zhenniao halted, turned his head slightly and looked at him, "I give you one day to consider; at this time tomorrow, I will come to hear your answer."
After speaking, she said no more, turned and walked straight back to the building, without any pause.
The empty street was left with only Huo La.
In Kanto, the other side wasn't at all afraid of him slipping away.
He looked up at the grayish sky, his mind repeatedly replaying every word and expression Sakaki had just said.
Go to another world?
Hand over the Rocket Team, all regions, the entire world?
The temptation is real, and the absurdity is also real.
Huo La knew perfectly well that Sakaki's proposal seemed flawless, almost stuffing a world within easy reach into his hands, but
Sakaki's aim is to leave here and go see his original world.
But who can guarantee that after he succeeds, he will truly keep his promise?
Who can be sure that Ma Shu Mu's deal with Sakaki is really as simple as he says?
And Arceus… after ambushing me, then disappearing again; although Sakaki says he knows where it is, but… even if he knows, do I really have confidence I can defeat it?
Once it fully completes the fusion, not to mention my current self, even Sakaki, Mewtwo, and Natsume together might not be able to stop it.
"One day…" Huo La murmured softly, his eyes heavy with gravity.
But… Sakaki is right, the Unova Battlefield simply doesn't wait for anyone.
He raised his hand, took out the Rotom Phone, and the screen kept popping up the latest battlefield news, each indicating the worsening situation.
Huo La took a deep breath and dialed a number.
