Chapter 555
Absorbing this energy, the golden body radiated light, lifted Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, and floated directly outside the Nine Nether Underworld.
Distance lost all meaning in front of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s golden body; as it lifted its feet, the earth beneath it seemed to overlap, allowing it to cross a distance of tens of thousands of miles in one step.
Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva summoning the Buddha-land and condensing the Buddha-and-Demon-as-One flames was not for the purpose of counterattacking.
Rather, it was to use this as a smokescreen to gain an opportunity to escape the Nine Nether Underworld.
After being attacked by Ancestor Minghe, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva finally regained his rationality and realized the situation he was facing.
With Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s intelligence and means, he should not have been so stupid.
It was just that the fall of Saint Zhunti and Saint Jieyin was too sudden and too difficult to accept.
As a true-blue Buddhist disciple, Saint Zhunti and Saint Jieyin were Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s heaven.
The sudden fall of Saint Zhunti and Saint Jieyin was like the collapse of heaven and earth for Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, directly shaking his firm Dao heart.
It was precisely because his Dao heart had been greatly impacted that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva had become extremely unwise.
Under normal circumstances, upon learning of the fall of Saint Zhunti and Saint Jieyin, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva would definitely not have faced Ancestor Minghe.
The moment he sensed Ancestor Minghe appearing in the Nine Nether Underworld, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva would have fled the Nine Nether Underworld.
It was not that he feared Ancestor Minghe.
In Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s eyes, what was most daunting about Ancestor Minghe was his identity as the Lord of the Sea of Blood; without the blessing of the Sea of Blood, he did not feel he was much weaker than Ancestor Minghe.
Of course, the recent exchange directly changed Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s view. Just a brief exchange made him realize the gap between himself and an old-school powerhouse.
Ancestor Minghe alone, no matter how strong, could not make Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva flee without a fight.
Without the help of the Nether Sea of Blood, in Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s view, even if he was not a match for Ancestor Minghe, he could still escape.
What truly made Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva wary was the meaning represented by Ancestor Minghe’s appearance.
With the fall of Saint Zhunti and Saint Jieyin, Buddhism would inevitably be carved up by the major powers of the Three Realms.
The reason the major powers of the Three Realms had not yet struck was because they were all waiting for others to strike first.
"The gun hits the bird that sticks its head out"; no one wanted to be the first to stick their head out.
It was just that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva did not expect that Ancestor Minghe had brought the Nether Sea of Blood to besiege and kill him this time.
Whoosh!
Just as Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s figure landed, before he could continue to use the "shrinking the earth into an inch" supernatural power to escape the Nine Nether Underworld.
The boundless Sea of Blood suddenly descended, sealing off everything around Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.
Immediately, the surrounding space froze, and the aura of the Great Dao of Earth and the Great Dao of Reincarnation were all suppressed by the Great Dao of the Sea of Blood.
Facing the blockade of the Sea of Blood, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s "shrinking the earth into an inch" supernatural power directly lost its effect.
"Nether Sea of Blood, how is it possible? How could Mother Pingxin allow you to summon the Nether Sea of Blood in the Nine Nether Underworld?"
Seeing the Nether Sea of Blood suddenly blocking his path, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s pupils shrank sharply, and a look of panic appeared in the depths of his eyes for the first time.
He had dealt with Ancestor Minghe many times, and all of them were in the Nether Sea of Blood; Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva knew very well how terrifying Ancestor Minghe was when he could mobilize the Nether Sea of Blood.
The title of "fighting a Saint" was not blown out of proportion, but something seen with his own eyes in the Nether Sea of Blood.
He was watching from the sidelines when Ancestor Minghe mobilized the power of the Sea of Blood to fight against Saint Zhunti.
But the Nine Nether Underworld was Mother Pingxin’s territory; Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva had never thought that Ancestor Minghe could also summon the Nether Sea of Blood in the Nine Nether Underworld.
"Did you form an alliance with Mother Pingxin?"
Suddenly thinking of a possibility, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva couldn't help but exclaim.
"You guessed right; I’ll reward you by letting you taste my Sea of Blood formation!"
Ancestor Minghe’s cold voice came from behind Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.
The next moment, countless Blood Gods appeared one by one, forming the Sea of Blood formation, shrouding Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva within it.
Whoosh!
The towering Sea of Blood began to pour toward Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.
These were not ordinary Sea of Blood power, but purified Sea of Blood power, extremely bloody and filthy.
Sizzle~~~
The first to bear the brunt was the golden body behind Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.
Under the erosion of the Sea of Blood power, the golden body began to dissolve like metal encountering sulfuric acid.
Ancestor Minghe did not intend to continue consuming time with Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva; after unleashing the Sea of Blood formation, he released the Yuantu and Abi swords again.
Carrying sharp fierce light, the Yuantu and Abi swords slashed directly at Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s Buddha-land.
This was Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s true foundation.
Crack!
Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva was resisting the erosion of the Sea of Blood and had no spare energy to strengthen the defense of the Buddha-land.
The Yuantu and Abi swords, which were unparalleled in killing, directly pierced through the barrier of the Buddha-land.
Whoosh!
A large amount of the Sea of Blood began to pour back into the Buddha-land.
Countless believers were rolled up by the Sea of Blood and disappeared without a trace.
Of course, these believers were not directly devoured, but were sent by Ancestor Minghe to the Two Realms Mountain.
As Luo Fu’s puppet, Ancestor Minghe had long been instilled with Luo Fu’s will.
For these mortal souls, Ancestor Minghe also had the same compassion as Luo Fu.
As for the evil ghosts on the other side, they did not receive such good treatment.
The Twelve-Grade Red Lotus of Karma Fire under his feet turned gently, and boundless karma fire, under Ancestor Minghe’s manipulation, descended directly into the black Buddha-land.
Boundless sin immediately burned violently.
A large number of evil ghosts also burned along with it.
However, these evil ghosts not only had no fear in their eyes, but instead had a sense of relief.
Even for evil ghosts, boundless sin was an extreme torture, a torture countless times more painful than death.
Similarly, choosing to be converted was also a torture.
All evil ghosts knew that once they were converted, they would completely lose their self.
Compared to enduring the torture of sin and losing their self to become puppets, death was nothing.
It was just that, under Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s control, the evil ghosts couldn't even commit suicide.
Therefore, facing the calcination of the Red Lotus Karma Fire, all the evil ghosts did not choose to resist.
Facing the Sea of Blood formation besieging him, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s face was extremely ugly, and a trace of despair flashed in the depths of his eyes.
Having seen Ancestor Minghe’s demeanor of fighting a Saint by relying on the Sea of Blood formation, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva knew very well how terrifying the power of the Sea of Blood formation was.
In the current situation, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva could only rely on himself.
Suppressing all luck in his heart, all emotions in Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s eyes dissipated, leaving only a look of determination.
Being able to reach his current realm and having made the great vow "If hell is not empty, I swear not to become a Buddha," Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva never lacked the courage to die.
Since he had fallen into the Sea of Blood formation, if he couldn't break the formation, there was no possibility of escape; Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva collected all his thoughts, sat cross-legged in the void, merged his mind with the golden body behind him, and grand Sanskrit sounds rang out.
"Namo Amituo Po Ye, Duo Ta Qie Duo Ye, Duo Di Ye Ta, A Mi Li Du Po Pi, A Mi Li Duo, Xi Dan Po Pi..."
The content of the Sanskrit sounds was precisely the Ksitigarbha Rebirth Sutra created by Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva himself.
Combined with the golden body, the recited Ksitigarbha Rebirth Sutra seemed to carry a peculiar magic; between the Sanskrit sounds, there seemed to be the sound of a dragon’s roar, giving people a deafening and enlightening feeling, making people sink into it involuntarily.
This was the famous "Heavenly Dragon Zen Chant" supernatural power of Buddhism, combined with the Great Dao of Conversion, which could make the Sanskrit sounds enter the hearts of living beings directly and forcibly convert them.
Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s Ksitigarbha Rebirth Sutra was also derived from the Great Dao of Conversion, using the meaning of rebirth to convert living beings, which had miraculous effects on ghosts and the like, and also had a not-so-bad effect on ordinary living beings.
As soon as the Sanskrit sounds rang out, many evil ghosts had Buddha-light blooming on their bodies, clearly being forcibly converted by the Sanskrit sounds.
