Chapter 1730: Merfolk Breeding Guide 02

Doctor Lin, it's an honor to have you come to our base.

The base's person-in-charge, Ke Shu, finally put his mind at ease these days: "You don't know, Number Seventeen is really difficult; none of our base's breeders can tame him, so we applied to headquarters for reassignment."

Number Seventeen is the ID the base gave to the deep-sea mysterious merfolk tribe.

Even so, Blue Star has only discovered this one.

Lin Juan nodded: "Headquarters places great importance on the merfolk experiment, Ke Shu, rest assured I'll handle the handover."

"Good, good, good, this is our base's general manager, You Zhuoran; from now on, Doctor Lin, if you have any experimental needs, you can report to him, and the base will do its utmost to satisfy."

"Hello." You Zhuoran reached out his hand.

"Hello."

Lin Juan responded warmly.

Ke Shu then said: "This person is the breeder who has been in charge of Number Seventeen recently; Doctor Lin, just hand over to him."

"Hello, Doctor Lin, I'll now take you to the breeding chamber; your office is also over there."

The breeder, while walking, briefly explained the situation to Lin Juan; the details had already been reviewed before Lin Juan arrived.

"Number Seventeen has only just left the juvenile stage, and previously had no contact with the outside world."

"After observing him for a long time, we captured him when he was weakest during his shift to adulthood, inevitably leaving injuries; recovery is expected to take ten days, and he can leave the chamber after fifteen days."

"After our preliminary analysis, Number Seventeen is the highest-intelligence creature in the base; two days ago he began spontaneously learning human speech… and other imitative behaviors."

The breeder's expression was a bit complicated when he said this; he used his access card to open the office: "Please come in."

The office is very large; in the center is a ring-shaped glass breeding chamber that connects to the ceiling, like a huge water ball; the breeding chamber is not limited to this office, it extends much higher, occupying the space of two floors.

The base even arranged inside an environment that ancient records say merfolk would like, aiming to let the merfolk adapt quickly, but the effect is obviously not good.

【Ah, Host, don't sleep, Main God is here!】

Behind the giant seashell, Jin Chen yawned and stretched, wrapping himself in the most splendid pearl-white gauze before swimming out.

Lin Juan approached, looked up at the merfolk swimming over, and a flash of amazement crossed his eyes.

He knew that among all known high-intelligence animals, merfolk possess some human features, but he hadn't expected them to be so outstanding.

His silver hair was like the softest seaweed, the ear fins in his hair sharp and gleaming with dangerous silver light.

He tilted his head slightly, his pupils reflecting the deep blue of the seabed, the two faint blue scales at the corners of his eyes like a kiss bestowed by a deity.

His slender deep-blue fish tail swayed gently in the water, the tip bearing a translucent fan-shaped fin, strange yet beautiful.

【Detected world villain, triggering Blackening Value; currently Blackening Value 100!】

【Mission requirement: clear Blackening Value, change the villain's tragic ending.】

【... How much?】 Jin Chen's swimming amplitude became smaller.

Ling Gun Gun chose to mute.

"This is Number Seventeen; the imitative behavior I just mentioned is learning to wear human clothes," the breeder said.

Because the breeding chamber's material is special, although it's strong enough to not be smashed, it can transmit sound, so Jin Chen could hear them speaking.

Upon hearing this, Jin Chen glared at the former breeder.

This person really has the nerve—does being a mermaid mean you don't need clothes? He made a covering garment out of pearls for himself, and wearing it is uncomfortable.

"Open the contact hatch." Lin Juan withdrew his gaze and said softly.

"……Doctor Lin, Number Seventeen is very ferocious; be careful not to be injured by mistake."

The breeder still had a psychological shadow, but seeing Lin Juan's indifferent expression, he didn't dare say more and pressed the window button.

The water-ball breeding chamber has a transfer passage inside; in a short time it forms a hatch that isolates water flow, allowing marine high-intelligence creatures and breeders to make contact.

For merfolk whose build is slender compared to other deep-sea creatures but much smaller, this size even allows Jin Chen to move freely in the hatch.

After all, adult merfolk can briefly leave the ocean.

"Doctor Lin, be careful." The breeder even stepped back a few steps and picked up a nearby stun baton.

Jin Chen, inside the hatch, after a few seconds of clear-eyed gazing at the gentle and handsome Lin Juan, slowly extended a slender finger, the pad beneath the claw moist and soft.

Lin Juan smiled, raised his hand to meet the fingertip, his eyes veiled with tenderness.

"Nice to meet you, Number Seventeen."
