Chapter 2855: My Wife Keeps Following Me 15
The car pulled up to the flower shop's entrance, and from afar Jin Chen saw the shop door wide open, the inside in disarray.
His heart sank, he stopped the car and rushed inside.
The flower shop was a mess, many flower pots on the shelves had shattered, soil and petals scattered across the floor.
Three menacing men were inside, and one happened to be wielding a large pruning shear, swinging it toward Yun Jian's direction.
Jin Chen's pupils contracted, he rushed over, snatched the large pruning shear from that person's hand, and kicked him in the stomach.
That man let out a muffled grunt, staggered back several steps, hit the shelf and knocked over a bunch of flower pots.
In just over ten seconds, the three menacing men all lay on the ground, their faces filled with genuine bewilderment.
They exchanged a furtive glance, their eyes full of disbelief—'No way! Is this person not a human?! How can he fight like that?!'
Jin Chen quickly walked up to Yun Jian, who was leaning against the overturned rack; the back of his hand hanging at his side bore a bleeding scrape, blood beads sliding down his fair hand and dripping onto his shirt cuff.
"Who did this?" Jin Chen grabbed Yun Jian's uninjured wrist, pulled him closer, and lowered his head to examine the wound on the back of his hand.
The three men groaning on the ground, upon hearing this, met Jin Chen's sweeping gaze.
"Uh-oh! This killing intent doesn't look like something an ordinary person could possess!"
Besides, Mr. Yun actually got hurt—though they clearly hadn't even touched him—so without even waiting to collect their money, they turned and fled.
Jin Chen lowered his gaze to him, "Does it hurt? I'll take you to the hospital."
Yun Jian shook his head and said softly, "There's a medicine cabinet upstairs; just treat it and it'll be fine."
He said this while quietly gripping Jin Chen's fingers.
Jin Chen immediately returned the grip, his voice softening, "I'll apply the medicine for you."
"Okay." Yun Jian lowered his eyes, the corner of his mouth twitching, "Let's go upstairs."
He turned his head and glanced at Tan Quan.
Tan Quan, shielding Song Cun, felt Yun Jian's gaze and his whole body stiffened, almost frightening him into revealing his true form.
He kept feeling that this person looked familiar, but couldn't recall where he had seen him.
——
Second floor of the flower shop.
It was already nearing evening, the sky beginning to darken.
Yun Jian brought Jin Chen here, and a sense of fulfillment welled up in his heart.
It's great—Jin Chen has indeed come to his home, into his private space.
He sat on the sofa, watching Jin Chen fetch the medicine box and sit down beside him.
"Hand." Jin Chen sat down beside Yun Jian, his voice very soft.
Yun Jian obediently extended his injured right hand; the wound was on the back of his hand near the thumb, looking somewhat frightening.
Jin Chen held his fingertips, moving carefully; when the alcohol touched the wound it still stung a little, but Yun Jian felt no pain at all—this sting was nothing compared to the surging tide welling up in his heart.
"Who are these people?" Jin Chen asked while applying the medicine, his voice soft.
Yun Jian lowered his eyes, shook his head, "I don't know; maybe they were former customers, or……people looking for trouble."
Jin Chen furrowed his brows, didn't ask further, carefully applied ointment to the wound, then wrapped it with gauze.
He instead felt that those three men were quite skilled, not like ordinary people.
During the application, Yun Jian sat quietly, but a wicked thought kept growing in his heart.
It was too gentle; his gentleness made him want to ask for more.
His body leaned slightly toward Jin Chen, drawing closer; his softly curled dark brown forehead hair slid with the movement, half-covering his brows and eyes, giving him a fragile, delicate look.
Then Yun Jian leaned on Jin Chen's shoulder and whispered, "It really hurts."
Jin Chen lowered his eyes, rubbed Yun Jian's head, his voice softening, "It's fine now; you did great, keep doing this—if danger arises, call me, don't tough it out, avoid injury."
Yun Jian listened to the warm whisper by his ear, and the sense of fulfillment in his heart was about to overflow.
He couldn't help but hug Jin Chen's forearm, burying his face in his shoulder, and gave a light nod.
"Mmm..." Yun Jian murmured vaguely, even feeling a bit dizzy from being too close and emotionally stirred, "Thank goodness you're here……you're amazing."
Jin Chen let him hold on; after the bandaging was done, Yun Jian reluctantly released Jin Chen's arm, but fearing Jin Chen would leave, his fingers slipped down and hooked onto his shirt cuff.
"I'm still a little scared." Yun Jian lifted his eyes, gazing into Jin Chen's depths, warm and soft, "Can you stay and keep me company?"
"Okay."
Jin Chen had no reason to disagree; he half-embraced Yun Jian into his arms, as if it were natural, not overly familiar yet sufficiently intimate.
"Don't be afraid; I won't go out these few days, I'll help you guard the flower shop."
Yun Jian had to restrain himself to avoid showing his infatuation; leaning in Jin Chen's embrace, he felt light-headed, his heart full of fluttering.
Two little bunnies hopped out of their nest, crouched on the nearby carpet, staring at Jin Chen as if they'd seen a ghost.
"Chik-chik-chik!"
Yun Jian pretended not to hear their complaints and accusations, then rubbed against Jin Chen's shoulder, his high nose bridge and the shirt collar ambiguously touching.
Jin Chen glanced over, a hint of smile in his eyes, his chin lightly brushing Yun Jian's hair, "Where's the big bunny?"
Yun Jian shifted slightly in his embrace, lowered his eyes, and said softly, "He ran out to play; he might come back later, as always—he only returns after he's had enough fun."
He lied with a straight face, but his fingertips, unseen, quietly curled a bit.
This evening passed very leisurely.
Yun Jian still personally made dinner, all dishes to Jin Chen's taste.
He had observed for a long time, noted Jin Chen's dietary preferences, and set a full table of dishes.
Although there was a small hiccup, together with this evening Yun Jian already had an entire day with Jin Chen, which left him very satisfied.
But it only satisfied him for two days.
Late at night, two days later.
Yun Jian couldn't sleep again.
Yun Jian lay on the bed, eyes open, staring at the ceiling, their mind full of Jin Chen's appearance.
Jin Chen's voice when speaking, Jin Chen's appearance when smiling, Jin Chen's body temperature when embracing Yun Jian.
The more they thought, the stronger that restlessness in their heart became.
Yun Jian turned over, turned back, and finally sat up.
The moonlight outside the window was lovely; silvery-white moonlight poured in, lighting the room half bright, half dark.
Yun Jian stared at the night scenery outside the window for a few seconds, then got up and walked to the window.
Yun Jian turned into a rabbit form, fluffy, with long ears, eyes glowing red in the moonlight, then jumped onto the windowsill, made another light leap, and leapt to outside Jin Chen's bedroom window.
