Chapter 2950: You Are My Fashion Darling 09

~7 min read 1,337 words

Within a few minutes, Jie Ke saw the judges and Chenshu coming over, as if he had seen a savior.

"My God……" Jie Ke patted his chest, pointing at a nearby especially tall and sharp reef, "Jin Chen contestant was just standing up there, leaning back—I really feared he would fall!"

Ai Wa asked concernedly: "Is he okay?"

He's fine, his sense of balance seems especially good; he came down on his own after the shoot.

Jie Ke said, turning the camera's display toward the judges, calling up the first photo he had just taken; everyone's gaze gathered on the small screen.

The photo was taken from a low angle, with a backdrop of clear, deep blue sky and a corner of blurred black reef edge.

Jin Chen wore that sea‑blue sheer garment, bending backward into a breathtaking arc; all focus lay on his collarbone fully revealed by the lean‑back, and on the deep‑blue sapphire set between his collarbones.

Yet the photo also conveys an extreme sense of fragility and falling, as if he would be swallowed by the endless ocean behind him in the next second.

"Whoa……" internationally renowned top fashion devil Anna exclaimed, her sharp tongue as usual, she couldn't help but nod, "It's interesting, dangerous, but beautiful—very oceanic."

Wei Ke Duo's eyes lit up: "Excellent angle! Excellent body control!"

"Where is Jin Chen now?" Chenshu asked.

Jie Ke pointed to the big reef behind, "He said he was going to tidy up, right behind the reef……"

He said while looking over, then immediately froze, "Huh? He was just there……"

Going around to look, behind the reef was empty, only the waves constantly striking and washing the stone wall.

Not much, but anyone familiar with him would surely notice.

Suddenly something moved on the sea surface.

Then a person emerged from the sea.

Chenshu's heart sank; that leaning‑back pose, plus the faint world‑weary tendency Jin Chen showed in this little world……

He anxiously scanned the surroundings of the reef and the churning sea.

Just then, a figure broke through the water on the sea surface.

Jin Chen floated up from the water, seawater rippling beside him, his drenched sheer garment floating and spreading with the waves, the sapphire at his collarbone soaked in seawater, breathtakingly beautiful.

He slightly tilted his head, looking toward the camera on shore, and also at Chenshu; his gaze lingered for a moment.

In an instant, everything around seemed to become a slow‑motion background with frames pulled out, turning slow and blurry; only he was vivid, bright, drenched in waterlight and unearthly splendor, striking each heart like a mermaid from an ancient legend who had come far from the seabed.

Chenshu stared blankly, then let out a soft laugh.

How could he forget that in some fragment of their shared memory world, Jin Chen's affinity for the sea should be like a fish in water.

Wei Ke Duo muttered: "My God…… This is absolutely the best of this episode! No, maybe it's the most stunning moment since the show premiered!"

Jie Ke's hand had already raised the camera on its own, the shutter clicking click‑click.

Ai Wa exclaimed beside him: "So beautiful, really so beautiful……"

I used to think Jin Chen contestant was just lazy, but now it seems he never really tried before; what happened today to make him take it seriously?

Jie Ke, while shooting, mentally ranted: "You're right, he really wasn't serious before; I don't know what happened today, but suddenly he got serious—yet all I want is to beg him not to swim into deep water, my heart can't take it……"

Jin Chen stayed in the water a while, noticed Jie Ke's camera had been lowered, slowly turned his head, glanced toward the shore, passed over the sea surface, over the crowd standing on the shore, landed on Chenshu, then swam toward the reef behind.

Chenshu told Jie Ke, "Let him rest a bit, take care of his clothes."

Jie Ke quickly nodded: "Okay, okay!"

He had just agreed when he saw Chenshu already walking toward the reef cluster where Jin Chen had disappeared.

Ai Wa laughed beside him: "Oh dear, I really look forward to being amazed again later."

Looks like our special observer has found the subject he especially wants to observe.

——

Behind the reef.

Jin Chen came up from the water, stepping on the reef and slowly walking ashore, completely soaked.

Fortunately, summer heat meant the sea breeze wasn't cold.

He lifted his hand to slick back his dripping wet hair again, revealing his forehead and sharp brows, and then saw Chenshu standing a few steps away.

Between them lay a few steps' distance, accompanied by the faint sea‑wind sound and the endless surf background.

Jin Chen wrung out the water from his garment's corner, then asked again, "Who are you?"

Chenshu looked at his eyes, made more vivid and striking by the seawater, the sapphire still pressed against his chest, rising and falling slightly with his breath, flashing a moist sheen.

This time Chenshu didn't deceive him, but simply said, "Chenshu, that's my name."

Jin Chen raised his eyebrows, repeating, "Chenshu……"

Weirdo.

That nickname still fits.

Chenshu let out a light laugh, blinked, his amber eyes holding a hint of innocence, "Why?"

He asked, stepping a step closer toward Jin Chen, onto the slightly larger flat reef where Jin Chen stood.

The distance between them shortened to less than two meters.

"Just because I kissed you?"

Jin Chen: "……"

Fine, being that open‑minded like a sick person is me.

Someone named Jin might really have met his match.

He lazily narrowed his eyes, his gaze landing on Chenshu's lower lip.

Chenshu sensed his slightly aggressive gaze, leaned back against the reef behind him, slightly lifted his head to reveal the side‑neck line, appearing relaxed, even somewhat…… inviting.

"Do you want to kiss me back?" Chenshu asked, smiling.

Jin Chen tilted his head, his wet black hair slipping a few strands onto his cheeks as he moved; looking at this person before him, he suddenly found it interesting.

In his long, vague, color‑less memories, many years had passed without any vivid pleasure.

Jin Chen walked slowly, stepping closer to Chenshu once more; the hem of his soaked gauze robe dragged on the rough reef, his body carrying the salty dampness of seawater, mixed with his own aura.

He and Chenshu were only a step apart.

Jin Chen raised his hand, his fingertips landing on Chenshu's chin, cool and damp, carrying the salty taste of seawater.

Chenshu simply leaned against the reef, slightly tilting his head back, letting him act.

Jin Chen, however, stopped at that close distance, their noses touching.

He spoke slowly, his voice lazy, with a faint smile, "You're not afraid I'll really kiss you back?"

Chenshu slightly lifted his head, actively moving closer, a distance where they would kiss imminently.

"Why be afraid?"

"You still owe me an answer, don't you?" Jin Chen suddenly said.

Chenshu blinked.

Jin Chen's fingertips couldn't help but rub, then he gripped harder, lowering his eyes to look at him, "What is our relationship, aside from that of patron?"

"You want to know?"

Jin Chen hummed lazily.

Chenshu curled the corner of his mouth, a light laugh spilling from his throat, "I'll tell you next time."

As his words fell, he hooked his arms around Jin Chen's neck and kissed him, appearing ambiguous and tender, deeply entangled.

Jin Chen's face was expressionless, his pupils swirling with emotions he couldn't read; sober, this kiss felt unlike yesterday's—sticky and hot, their scorching breaths entwining ambiguously.

After a few moments, Jin Chen lowered his eyes, slowly raising his hand to press against Chenshu's nape; his long fingertips tightened on the delicate skin beneath the collar of his shirt, that thin patch of flesh, unfamiliar, instinctively, wanting to wrestle control of the kiss from Chenshu, but after Chenshu's pained-sounding hum, he paused, then his fingertips relaxed, slowly rubbing the nape.

Thus even the sea wind became continuous and damp.
