Chapter 2951: You are my fashion darling 10
The air still held the salty, damp scent of seawater. Behind the reef it was quiet, only the sound of waves crashing, near and far, as if coming from another world.
Jin Chen's soaked hair tips dripped water droplets, falling onto Chenshu's upturned face; between his lips and teeth there was a hint of salty bitterness, whether from seawater or something else, he felt Chenshu's breath hitch for a moment, and then those arms tightened their hold on him a little more.
This person clearly looked aloof and distant, unapproachable, yet when he kissed him, he seemed a bit obedient.
After an unknown amount of time, Jin Chen pulled back slightly, eyes downcast, his gaze somewhat unfocused as it landed on Chenshu's face; Chenshu's lip was split, a bead of blood seeping out, vivid and stark against his pale lip color.
Chenshu's breathing was also a little uneven; his light‑gold eyes were deeper than usual, like a mist‑covered sea, hazy and moist.
He likewise gazed at Jin Chen, the split at his lip adding an indescribable sense of ambiguity and fragility.
Jin Chen stared for two seconds; the unfamiliar flutter in his heart hadn't fully subsided, and a doubt rose. Impulsively he lifted his hand, lightly pressing his cool fingertips to Chenshu's lip, right on the small wound.
"Did I press that hard?"
Chenshu didn't dodge, letting his fingertip rest on his lips, even tilting his head slightly to rub his lips lightly against Jin Chen's fingertip, his eyes crinkling mischievously, light shimmering within.
"Yeah, it hurts a little." He admitted openly, his voice hoarse a notch.
Jin Chen: "……"
He looked at Chenshu's smiling, clearly teasing eyes, and only then realized something felt off.
It was clearly him who got dazed from the kiss, yet now it sounded like he was the one bullying the other.
Chenshu moved closer, brushing his own damp, slightly swollen lip against Jin Chen's, pressing their lips together, breaths mingling, he laughed softly and asked, "How can you not even learn to kiss, mermaid?"
Jin Chen: "……" What fish?
He inexplicably felt a flush of heat and embarrassment creep up from his ears, instinctively wanting to turn his head away to escape Chenshu's scorching gaze and affectionate rubbing.
But Chenshu seemed to have anticipated his reaction, his hand hooked around Jin Chen's neck not loosening, instead stroking his warm cheek with his fingertip, "May I slowly teach you how to kiss?"
Chenshu's voice dropped lower, almost a whisper, with a coaxing tone, brushing over Jin Chen's sensitive ear, "As a trade, I can answer your earlier question—besides the sponsor, there's also a pursuing relationship."
The slow‑thinking Jin Chen took a couple of seconds to respond, finally linking those two sentences together.
He clicked his tongue lightly, looked away, avoiding Chenshu's eyes that seemed able to bewitch the heart, "What happens if I refuse?"
Chenshu actually followed his words, thinking seriously, his long lashes lowering then lifting as he pondered, "I suppose I'd be a little unhappy."
"Do you want me to be unhappy?" he asked softly.
Jin Chen's eyelashes twitched again; not knowing what to say, he simply shifted his gaze, stood straight, silent, lips pressed together, his face expressionless, looking cold and stubborn.
Though Chenshu said he'd be unhappy, his eyes brimmed with amusement; he didn't mind Jin Chen's uncooperative attitude at all.
Chenshu withdrew the hand resting on Jin Chen's shoulder and instead helped him tidy the wrinkled, damp gauze outfit, even though it would likely crease again soon.
"All right, let's shoot."
Having straightened the clothes, his hand rose again, wanting to smooth Jin Chen's hair that had dried into thin, messy strands clinging to his forehead and cheeks.
As soon as his fingers touched it, Jin Chen's head lowered slightly, as if automatically complying with the motion.
After he came to his senses, the slow‑thinking Jin Chen stood straight with a blank face, his ears bright red betraying him, standing there silently while Chenshu did as he pleased.
"Weirdo."
Jin Chen repeated the thought in his mind, yet why did he feel a bit happy?
He lifted his gaze to Chenshu, whose eyes held a deeper smile, gently smoothing his hair, "Go on."
——
Photographer Jake felt his heart had endured too much stimulation today.
First he was nearly scared into cardiac arrest by Jin Chen's perilous backward lean, then he was stunned to the point of soul‑leaving by the sight of him like a mermaid emerging from the sea, and afterward… he also caught glimpses of that mysterious big shot and this Jin Chen athlete hiding behind the reef, though he couldn't see exactly what they were doing, the atmosphere was definitely anything but ordinary.
When he saw Jin Chen walking back alone, the faintly red cheeks and ears, and his gaze even more unfocused than usual…
Jake felt he might have learned some major secret.
But he tactfully asked nothing, "Jin Chen, shall we do a few more close‑ups and detail shots? I think we can try…"
Jin Chen nodded, cooperating with Jake as they shot a few more sets, then walked back into the shallow water, letting the sea rise past his calves, the gauze drifting with the waves, the blue sapphire dotted with water droplets glittering in the sunlight.
Jake's hand ached from pressing the shutter, and he kept muttering under his breath.
Finally, after Jake happily declared, "That's enough, plenty, this is absolutely the best of this issue," Jin Chen turned on his heel and headed straight for the makeshift changing area, his back practically shouting "relief".
Having changed clothes and stepped out, a staff member approached, holding an insulated box.
"Jin Chen athlete, this is your lunch." The staff member handed over the meal box, his tone polite to the point of being almost timid.
