Chapter 2976: You Are My Fashion Darling 35

~8 min read 1,429 words

After the show officially wrapped up, everyone's life entered a new track.

Gu Chen Zhou's schedule was packed tight; the champion title brought not only honor but also a flood of business invitations.

The other contestants each went their own way, successively signing with good companies or obtaining good resources, kicking off their careers; after learning what happened during the show's production, most of them were glad about one thing: not having opposed Jin Chen.

It turned out that, in a corner unseen by them, Jin Chen and Chenshu had already progressed to that point!!

Jin Chen was indeed resting; he had already been personally packed and brought back by Chenshu to the Yingguo headquarters of the Opalus Group, ostensibly because the show filming was too exhausting and he needed proper rest, thus unilaterally starting a long vacation.

Chenshu naturally indulged him; the newly assigned management team was already in place, nominally only responsible for liaison work endorsing the high-end jewelry line, but everyone knew deep down that Jin Chen would henceforth be a contracted model for the Opalus Group, the kind personally brought in by the Chief Executive Officer.

Speaking of after the show filming ended, the only thing that left Chenshu slightly dissatisfied was probably that he could no longer strictly supervise Jin Chen's gaming as before.

In the show, he could still use the competition as a restraint, but now the game console is at Jin Chen's fingertips, the Zhuang Yuan has smooth internet, and if Jin Chen really wants to play, he can't watch him 24/7. Moreover, Chenshu finds it hard to really steel his heart to stop Jin Chen's hobby; tracing back even earlier, when Jin Chen was still a little divine lord, he often kept the pond full of koi so well-fed they could barely swim, and Chenshu merely gave him a new pond to feed.

Thus, the Chief Executive Officer chose a more roundabout way to express his slight dissatisfaction.

That morning, after Jin Chen finished his shower and came out, he casually wiped his hair with a towel, saw his phone screen light up several times—it was a message from Gu Chen Zhou, whom Jin Chen had labeled "Gu Cai Ji", a friendly nickname originating from a multiplayer game session.

Gu Cai Ji:

Gu Cai Ji: I've decided.

Gu Cai Ji: I won't play games with you anymore.

Gu Cai Ji: Forever.

Jin Chen, on his way to the dining hall, glanced at the message, raised his eyebrows in puzzlement, and directly voiced his question: "Why?"

Gu Cai Ji: I inexplicably got five more business engagements; my schedule is so tight I have to cut sleep. No time.

Gu Cai Ji: I suggest you spend more time with Chenshu and play fewer games.

Gu Cai Ji: The jealousy is already affecting me.

Gu Cai Ji: Take care, don't reply.

Jin Chen sat down at the dining table, looked at the words on the screen, and the corners of his mouth curled slightly.

Time rewinds to the early morning.

At that time, Jin Chen had already been leaning against the headboard playing a game for a while; Chenshu finished work, returned from the Study, glanced at him upon entering, then silently went to the bathroom to wash up; after washing, he walked to the bedside in a robe and sat down.

Jin Chen was in the midst of a crucial team fight when, not paying attention, his game console was taken away; he lifted his head, and Chenshu promptly straddled his waist, knees resting on the bed on either side, the robe's belt having come undone at some point, the front open, he looked down at him with a cold expression.

Jin Chen could no longer care about the game; he gave a low chuckle, reached out, gripped Chenshu's nape, and pulled him into an embrace.

Later…

Later, the game naturally went unfinished; Gu Chen Zhou waited there until his thanks were all spent, sent a string of question marks, and finally logged off in annoyance.

Jin Chen's thoughts returned, he finished the last bite of his sandwich, lifted his gaze to the opposite side of the table, and saw Chenshu sitting across from him, reading emails.

Jin Chen propped his chin on one hand, looking at him, his eyes holding a few traces of bright amusement.

Chenshu lifted his gaze from the notebook, met his eyes, and asked, "What's up?"

Jin Chen lowered his eyes, his smile deepening—he rarely felt this amused—"Chenshu, you're so adorable."

Chenshu: "?"

"Your jealous look is cute too."

Chenshu's fingers paused on the keyboard, not knowing where Jin Chen had learned whatever it was, but he quickly recalled the arrangements he'd made the previous night, closed the notebook, pressed his lips together, and his expression turned extremely cold.

"You're still worried about Gu Chen Zhou, aren't you?" As he said that, the jealousy practically wafted out.

Jin Chen put down his knife and fork, wiped his mouth with a napkin, then rose and walked around the table to Chenshu's side; Chenshu sat in his chair, slightly tilting his face up to look at him.

Jin Chen lowered his head, saw that his neck was bare, the tie still unfastened; he hooked his finger onto the tie draped over Chenshu's chair back, Chenshu lifted his chin to make it easier, Jin Chen pushed the tie knot to a suitable height, pressed his fingers to Chenshu's nape, lowered his head, and kissed the corner of his lips.

His voice was low, tinged with amusement, his lips brushing Chenshu's skin: "It seems I haven't tried hard enough, disappointing Chenshu."

Chenshu, tickled by the rubbing, turned his head and kissed back, a bit more firmly than Jin Chen's earlier kiss. Jin Chen's hand slid from Chenshu's nape down, lifted the shirt's hem, his fingertips touching the skin, wandering aimlessly across that section of waist, pausing at the waistline, then pressing lightly.

Chenshu's breathing grew a little heavier; he simply leaned forward, forehead resting against Jin Chen's abdomen, and closed his eyes.

Jin Chen lowered his head, his nose bumping Chenshu's forehead, then rubbing down his nasal bridge, the motion intimate, with a hint of coaxing: "Are you really jealous?"

"No."

"Then why did you wear that expression when you took away my game console last night?"

"What expression?"

Jin Chen thought, found a word: "A wronged expression."

Chenshu fell silent for two seconds: "I'm not wronged."

"You are."

Chenshu: "..."

Chenshu lifted his head from his clothing and frankly admitted: "You spend more time on games than on me."

Jin Chen raised his eyebrows, agreeing: "So you're jealous of the games."

Jin Chen's hand still rested on his waist, thumb drawing slow circles; Chenshu's waist side is his sensitive spot—normally a touch makes him flinch—but today he simply leaned against the chair back, letting Jin Chen's fingers rub there.

"Did Gu Chen Zhou send you a message?" Chenshu suddenly asked.

"Yeah, he said his schedule is too packed, no time for games."

"Then who will you play with from now on?"

Jin Chen lowered his head, lips touching Chenshu's forehead: "I'll keep you company."

Chenshu snorted, obviously not convinced.

Jin Chen kissed his brow, touched his nose, then settled on his lips, gently sucking, releasing, sucking again—the kiss lingered for a long time.

Finally, Chenshu pushed away first; his lips were a bit red from the kiss, his breathing unsteady: "I have a meeting at ten; what do you plan to do this morning?"

Jin Chen thought for a moment, quite honest: "Go back to sleep."

Chenshu remarked: "No wonder you always game at night—sleeping too much makes you unable to sleep at night; it seems I still need to schedule some work for you."

"How about accompanying you to the meeting?" Jin Chen decisively changed the subject, smoothing the wrinkles on his shirt's shoulders.

Chenshu glanced at him, "Don't cause trouble."

Jin Chen laughed lightly, didn't tease him anymore, took the suit jacket off the hanger, helped Chenshu put it on, and planted a kiss on his eyelid, "Go work hard to earn money and support the family, Chief Chenshu."

When Jin Chen returned to the restaurant to get his phone, the servants were already clearing the tables; he glanced out the window, Yingguo's weather was much colder than the island's.

Jin someone began to think, hesitating for three seconds between going out for a walk and continuing back to rest.

Then he decisively chose the latter.

On vacation, one ought to have the appearance of being on vacation.
