Chapter 284: I Will Always Love Him!
A patch of bright red blood slid down from the corner of Ning Huaiqing's mouth; Sheng Hongyao narrowed his eyes and gripped her jaw tightly, "Stupid!"
"Do you think biting your tongue can kill you?" He pulled over the dress he had torn to wipe the blood from the corner of her mouth.
"So chaste and pure, yet you're still thinking about marrying Sheng Yu?"
He sneered, took out his phone, opened the gallery, and tapped on a random photo.
Looking at her humiliated self in the photo, Ning Huaiqing let out a scream and knocked the phone away.
"Not only do I have photos, I have videos too." Sheng Hongyao gripped her jaw and threatened, "I can send them to Sheng Yu at any time, let him take a good look at how unbearable and how loose you are under me..."
"Don't..." Ning Huaiqing cried and begged, "Don't let Sheng Yu know..."
Sheng Hongyao chuckled softly, released his hold on her, pulled at the piece of cloth on her shoulder that was about to fall off, and said languidly as if admiring a piece of art: "Then take it off yourself."
Ning Huaiqing stood there in humiliation.
Sheng Hongyao slowly narrowed his eyes.
She bit her lip tightly to suppress the sobbing in her throat, raised her hands, and tremblingly pulled down the wide strap on her other shoulder; the dress slid down to her feet in an instant.
"Come here." Sheng Hongyao's Adam's apple bobbed, his gaze fixed intently on her graceful body.
Before Ning Huaiqing could even walk closer, he dragged her over and pinned her down on the bed...
Night fell.
Sheng Hongyao sat on the edge of the bed buttoning his shirt, turned his head to look at Ning Huaiqing, whose face was flushed but whose eyes were hollow, "What do you want to eat? I'll have someone make it for you."
Ning Huaiqing remained indifferent.
"Want to use a hunger strike to resist me? Ning Huaiqing, it's easy for you to die, but what about Youyou? He has no mother and isn't acknowledged by Sheng Yu; do you want him to suffer the cold glares of the world?"
The person on the bed finally stirred; Ning Huaiqing lowered her eyelids, the corners of her eyes red from crying.
She mocked, "Doesn't he still have you as a father?"
Sheng Hongyao fastened the last button and sneered: "No need for the sarcasm; he is indeed my son, and I will give him the best."
Just as he picked up the cane on the floor and stood up, Ning Huaiqing asked him in a hoarse voice from behind: "Sheng Yu and Youyou had a paternity test; what exactly is going on?"
She did not believe that with Sheng Yu's current power, Sheng Hongyao could have tampered with things right under his nose.
"You want to know?" Sheng Hongyao turned around and swept a condescending glance at her, "And then tell Sheng Yu?"
"Will you be satisfied only after seeing Sheng Yu and Zhu Yuan's relationship restored to how it was?"
Ning Huaiqing's fingers clenched tightly.
No matter how things developed, she had never wanted to harm Sheng Yu and Zhu Yuan.
She couldn't tell Sheng Yu because she was afraid of the look of disgust and aversion he would show her.
That would be more painful to her than killing her.
Seeing her eyes turn red again, Sheng Hongyao snorted coldly, sat back on the edge of the bed, grabbed her arm, and pulled her onto his lap, "As long as you serve me well, I will cherish you more than anyone else."
Sheng Hongyao held her soft waist; it was truly too thin, and from behind, it was exceptionally alluring.
"It was you, wasn't it?" Ning Huaiqing's eyes were bloodshot, "You were the one who called me back then, you were the one who sent me the text messages! It was you, wasn't it!"
Sheng Hongyao smiled slightly, noncommittal.
Ning Huaiqing bit her lips, which were swollen and upturned from his kisses; she was so foolish—the other party was bent on dealing with Sheng Yu, how could she have overlooked Sheng Hongyao?
"What exactly are you going to do to him!" Ning Huaiqing tried to struggle out of his embrace.
But Sheng Hongyao anticipated her move; before she could act, he tightened his grip on her slender waist, threw aside his cane, and used his other hand to stroke her smooth cheek, "Still so concerned about him?"
"I will always love him!" Ning Huaiqing's eyes were firm, "He is a thousand times, ten thousand times better than you!"
Sheng Hongyao felt no love for Ning Huaiqing, only pure physical desire, so he felt only mockery and no great emotion toward the first half of what Ning Huaiqing said; however, the second half of her sentence angered him.
He changed his hand from stroking her cheek to gripping her jaw and sneered: "So what if he's better than me? He doesn't love you."
Sheng Hongyao lowered his head and said cruelly in her ear: "You've seen the way he loves Zhu Yuan, aren't you very jealous and unwilling to accept it? But that is the truth; he has never loved you, and you go out of your way to think of him, yet he won't even give you a word of thanks."
A single understated sentence shattered Ning Huaiqing's conviction.
The expression on her face froze.
Sheng Hongyao was very satisfied with her reaction.
How could a woman in her twenties be his match?
He had only spoken the truth, and she couldn't take it.
"So, staying by my side obediently and raising Youyou well is your best destination; if you want my love, I can give it to you too."
"But you could even kill Shen Yijing," Ning Huaiqing murmured.
The hand Sheng Hongyao had around her waist stiffened slightly.
He sneered coldly, "That was the price of betraying me; of course, it was a dead end."
Sheng Hongyao gave her a meaningful look, used both hands to lift her up, and looked her in the eye, "If you dare to betray me, Shen Yijing will be your fate."
A chill crept up Ning Huaiqing's spine; she realized that Sheng Hongyao didn't really not love Shen Yijing—his mind was simply twisted.
Sheng Hongyao pinched her waist, "Alright, get up and get dressed; Youyou misses you."
Ten minutes later, Ning Huaiqing took a shower, got dressed, and went downstairs.
As soon as Youyou saw her, he immediately dropped the toy in his hand, ran over, and tilted his little head, "Mommy, Mommy!"
Ning Huaiqing's heart stung; she hadn't held him all day, and facing his expectant gaze, her heart felt like it was being cut by a knife.
Finally, she squatted down and pulled little Youyou tightly into her arms.
Holding the soft, milky-scented child in her arms, Ning Huaiqing realized that Youyou was actually the source of her solace; holding Youyou, her soul received a brief healing, causing her to tighten her grip involuntarily.
"I'm sorry, Youyou, I'm sorry, Mommy is sorry to you." She suppressed her sobs and apologized to the child over and over again.
Not knowing what had happened, Youyou had long forgotten that Ning Huaiqing hadn't held him that morning.
He gently touched Ning Huaiqing's hair and said in a milky voice: "It's okay."
Ning Huaiqing's forehead rested against his small shoulders, a flash of hatred appearing in the depths of her eyes.
